The staff was really friendly. I had an excursion very early in the morning and they kindly arranged the breakfast at 6am. The location is perfect, the back garden is just enchanting. Unfortunately it wasn’t warm enough to use the swimming pool. I would definitely go back again.

I am not really a religious person, and even though the painting of the saint was beautifully made, having this big painting in the room was a bit impressive and intimidating. That’s really the only thing I would point out.

I'm 62 years old and I've traveled all over the world. This is without a doubt the best hotel I've ever stayed in. The facilities are excellent, but it's the staff that make it a truly exceptional place to stay. Staff members are warm, friendly, efficient, and are committed to making your stay comfortable and enjoyable. The owners are passionate about design and you can see small and big touches throughout the property that suggest that serious thought has been put into everything.

The next hotel experience can't possibly match this. The next, and the one after, and....

The property has 12 rooms in a beautifully restored building a block or so from the main square and right across from rental car offices and travel agencies, which makes it very convenient. Reception staff spoke English and were very friendly and helpful. Place smells amazing and the public areas are beautifully decorated and appointed. The pool area is situated in a garden and is a lovely refuge from the sun and dust of the surrounding area. Breakfast was exceptional, a buffet and a choice of home made muesli, eggs or pancakes with fresh fruit, a welcome relief from the standard Argentinian fare of croissants, bread and cheese. Hands down our best accommodation in 3 weeks in Argentina.

Nothing really

This small, cozy hotel had very nice, comfortable rooms, spacious bathrooms, and a beautiful outdoor garden with a small pool. Situated in walking distance to the main plaza and many restaurants. Staff were wonderful (thank you again for all your help and for making us feel so welcome). Best of all was the cat that hangs around the hotel, which made himself at home in our room one evening!

Just be aware that some rooms don't have windows to the outside and can be dark during the day. Rooms on second floor have more natural light.

We loved absolutely everything about this outstanding hotel. It is like a little sanctuary in the midlle of beautiful Salta. To us, it’s the best hotel we have stayed at in a long time. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The room was absolutely gorgeous and the breakfast was great too. Their granola is to die for. I am still craving it.

This is high maintenance, for sure. But some sort of mini spa/ Wellness area would complete Villa Vicuña in my opinion.

Lovely boutique hotel excellently located in the beautiful city of Salta. The staff were all lovely and helpful, particularly Santiago. We found the recommended parking easy to find, reasonably priced and secure. Breakfast at the hotel was excellent with a broad selection, room comfortable and the hotel decor very stylish. Would certainly stay again and recommend to others.

Alejandra, at the front desk, was extremely friendly and helpful. She also speaks English well, which was very useful considering our basic grasp of Spanish. She happily answered our many questions about Salta, and helped us navigate different neighborhoods. tourist attractions and restaurants. And, I should mention that the included breakfasts were excellent, and the location is wonderful.

The curtains on the window onto the walkway let in more light during the night than I would have preferred, but it appeared that our room was one of the few affected by this because of its location.

Beautifully renovated colonial property; with the best service. Friendly staff.

We had to book a room for an additional night and they graciously accommodated us but we couldn’t stay in the room we booked. Instead we got one of the ground floor rooms that doesn’t have a proper window. It was fine but I’d avoid if possible.

We stayed in a Queen size double room upstairs, it was very beautifully decorated with a very comfortable bed, the bedroom and bathroom size also very comfortable. The location is excellent and the staff so helpful and friendly.

We were originally booked in to one of the twin double rooms downstairs with window opening onto internal hallway, the room was equally beautifully decorated, but we were not comfortable with the room location and no outside window. As soon as a better room became available (the next day) we were moved, the staff were very understanding and helpful!

Gorgeous hotel. I stayed in an upstairs room and one downstairs room. If you can ask for one upstairs, I felt it provided slightly more privacy and less light (just my personal preference to have complete darkness in a room). Walking distance to many restaurants and the square. Also, tourist office are a couple of blocks away if you want to do some tours. I believe the hotel will provide options as well. Hotel staff were lovely. And it was a perk that they spoke English since my Spanish is extremely lacking. Breakfast was nice and had a few options yo select from. Will choose this hotel again, if I am back in Salta.
