Location is great, eco tents are set in a lovely bush area surrounded by birds. Early morning wake up was lovely. Beds amazing. Room had great air con, fridge. Walking distance to the Yellow Water billabong.
No running water in room at all which is extremely frustrating considering how outrageously expensive this place was. No ensuite (which we knew) but then no hot water for 24 hours...until we complained and the Duty Manager found the maintenance guy to change the gas bottle. You'd think that would be a daily check. For over $500 a night we shouldn't have to wander around a camp ground searching for a hot shower.

The facilities are nice and well located to all the tours and sites that are important in Kakadu. Mimi’s restaurant had very good food as well. Our deluxe tent was well appointed and clean.
The outdoor patio space blared an AUS sports game with extreme bass on the speakers at top volume until after 10 PM. Being visitors who are not sports fans, we didn’t appreciate having to listen to it for the $$$ we were paying. The next night a very sad country musician performed who barely had a pulse. He seemed to be a regular act. The service vehicles drive around the grounds starting very early in the morning and they disrupt what could be a more peaceful environment.

Location, setting and staff. We enjoyed the pools, the restaurant had great food (pizzas excellent) with outstanding service. The layout was laid back.
Small petty irritations. No toaster in the rooms, no cutlery, no crockery, no BBQ equipment or cleaning materials. It looks like you can do a bit of self catering in the way the villas are presented on Booking.com but that was only if you carried your house on your back (caravan). It seemed management wanted to push you into the restaurant for all meals. If you can provide wifi in the bar/restaurant then why not in the villas ... pushing you into the bar/restaurant area again???

It's in a lovely location in Kakadu Park which is in the middle of nowhere. It's right next to Yellow Water Billabong which is perfect for taking the dawn cruise on the wetlands which is a must. The restaurant is great with a delicious breakfast including fresh juice (orange, carrot, ginger, beetroot - you make your own), fruit, yogurt, bread, eggs/bacon etc. Dinner was also good and they have some 'local' food like barramundi, croc burgers and kangaroo steaks. We stayed in an eco tent which had a very comfy bed and kettle for coffee, fridge, a/c etc. My husband was annoyed the wifi didn't reach the room but I was happy! We used the shared bathroom facilities which were very good - clean and with towels and soap provided.
Hubby would say wifi, but I think when you are that far from anywhere, it's better to go without.

We had a fantastic stay at Cooinda Lodge Kakadu! The Lodge Room was comfortable, clean, and well-appointed, offering everything we needed after long days of exploring the national park. The bed was especially cozy, and the air conditioning was a blessing in the tropical heat. The location is unbeatable – right in the heart of Kakadu, making it easy to access nearby attractions like Yellow Water Cruises and Jim Jim Falls. The lodge grounds were beautifully maintained, with lush surroundings that made us feel connected to the environment. We also enjoyed the on-site restaurant, where the pizza was delicious and other dishes showcased local flavors. The pool area was perfect for relaxing after a day of adventure, and the whole atmosphere of the lodge was peaceful and inviting. If you're looking for a base to explore the wonders of Kakadu, Cooinda Lodge is the perfect place to stay.

Comfortable glamping experience, with good choice of restaurants on site. Convenient location with yellow water sunset cruise being a highlight.
The villa that we booked for my Dad’s present did not have a bbq as in the photo. Would have been nice to know this ahead of time as we brought a lot of cooking ingredients with us. I also feel it would be worthwhile providing a way for guests to call/ message and make restaurant and breakfast buffet bookings, the system felt fairly disorganised. Even though we had booked the day before we weren’t on the list for breakfast. All in all everything was really great but just needed a little more attention to detail.

Liked our Eco Retreat but disappointed facilities were so far away. Pool was wonderful and enjoyed a delicious meal in Mimi’s Restaurant.
Staff very frazzled. Arrived at 2.00 and told by boy I shop to come back at 3.00 to Reception counter. Did this only to be told to check in in the shop where we had been before. When we went to use the facilities the door code would not work at either end of the building. Husband had to go and find a maintenance man which took a while and we understand they had been having difficulties with these locks for a while - not good enough as concerned what would happen if we couldn’t access them during the night.

Great location. We stayed in a glamping cabin, quiet, comfortable, beautiful view of the forest from our cabin (outside row), nicely appointed. Good aircon and fans. Communal shower and toilet block clean and nice toiletries, paths lit overnight, so easy to get around. Lovely staff. Restaurant well misted with water mist to keep down mosquitoes, I actually wasn't bitten, which is unusual! Bar and restaurant nice. Didn't get to use the pool unfortunately, but it looked nice. Could recommend taking a yellow water cruise, and a 4WD tour with Never Never Safari Tours. So much beauty to see near to Cooinda, including Nourlangie Rock Art.
Not having an ensuite! It's amazing how used to having one you get! The dive bombing insects in the restaurant after dark, we were there when the scrub was being burnt nearby for fire control. Recommend eating before dark, or getting a takeaway to your accommodation!

We had a Lodge Family room for the 2 of us, which was spacious with good air con. Onsite restaurant and bistro were good. We had nice meals. The terrace was comfortable with water misters. There are 2 pools with gardens and sun beds. The lodge is a perfect location for the Yellow River cruise excursion, which is a must do whilst in this location. It was also well located following our excursion to Ubirr walk and lookout. Just down the road it is also worth a visit to the Warradjan Aboriginal Cultural Centre.
Our room was made up very late, which was disappointing when we returned from our Yellow River cruise and just needed to have a rest. Housekeeping was a little abrupt and discourteous when we asked how long it would be. Until you are there, it's hard to appreciate just how remote everything is. The little town of Jabiru was closed and had nothing to offer outside Cooinda Lodge.

The rooms were ample for our one night stay, plenty of parking and we loved the pool area. We ate all of our meals at the restaurant and we were happy with everything we ordered. It was lovely to eat outside and the atmosphere was excellent. Staff were helpful and friendly and answered our questions with a smile. We used the shop for some basic supplies and purchase our fuel here too. Perfect location to do the Yellow Water Billabong Cruise and we went back to the walkways to watch the sun set.
I booked for 2 adults and 2 children and one child was on a fold up bed which wasn't stated in my booking. The room was very tight for 4 people. Fine for one night though.
