Comfortable bed and furnishings. Spacious layout of room. Property is modern and well kept. The property has secure undercover parking. (I don't think this important feature is mentioned in on line descriptions that I saw.) Staff on reception and housekeeping were always friendly and helpful.

Light switches were confusing. Apparently one was a master switch but that was not obvious (no labels). Some kitchen utensils were old and tarnished. Not a big problem for us but could be offputting to other guests. Coffee cups were very small and looked like cheapest to buy! Coffee Mugs would be more appropriate. Mugs could even have corporate logo design - good marketing! The room has partitions that use a plastic track built into the floor. Bathroom towels a bit cheap and thin too. Cannot use more than twice after showering. I'm probably being too fussy, overall the room and the property were very good!

Clean and well equipped.

Had an issue over the whole 3 day stay with the Aircon. It just kept reverting back to 19 degrees which was too cold for me. However the young lady at reception was extremely helpful and as it was over the Christmas break was not easy to fix. She helpfully then set it at 24 degrees controlled from office which was better but then I couldnt make any adjustment at all on it or even turn it completely off. Other than that issue it was all good. That is the second time I have stayed there. My husband and I stayed there in 2016 when we revisited Heron Island for our 50th wedding anniversary where we had honeymooned in 1966. He passed away almost 2 years ago . My granddaughter and her husband now living in Gladstone . Many happy memories of the beautiful Heron Island.

The reception staff are excellent. They are so very helpful and nothing is too much trouble. The room was far larger than expected and everything was perfect. The fact that there is a restaurant and coffee shop down stairs is brilliant. There's even a gaming room for those who like a little flutter. Over all it was a fabulous stay. Secure parking and very very safe place to stay

Honestly there was nothing not to like about the place. Everything was amazing. I guess if I had to pick one thing it probably isnt suitable for families as there aren't any 2 bedroom apartments that I'm aware of but that didnt bother us

The staff were very friendly and the bed was super comfy. The room was spacious and had a small living area which was good. Couch was ok to sit and watch TV. Pillows were great and having the room serviced daily even though it said it wouldn't be was a surprise but a good one.

The bathroom was a little small and the water pressure in the shower was not great. Not a huge amount of counter space if it was a couple, I would have struggled. It was ok for a single.

Location of hotel.

Paid for room when I checked in. After I checked out and had arrived home, I checked my Credit card and found that they had charged me again for the room. Phoned and inquired about the double charge. I was told that this was normal and how their system worked, and the second charge would be reversed in a few days. It took 4 days and a second phone call to get charge reversed. I don't believe this normal. I've stayed in a few hotels and never been charged twice.

The rooms are quite well laid out and meets most peoples needs the apartment layout is fine Very close to amenities

I think that they will suffer the fate of many hotels and that is keep up the maintenance I have noted that the carpets are deteriorating the slides for the privacy screens in the room I was in were wearing I think that being an industrial city that there are a lot of contractors who use the rooms are probably not kind to the rooms Keeping up maintenance would be critical for those people that have an expectation of quality with Oaks Hotels

The hotel provided all the essential amenities for our family - especially the adjoining rooms for us to share between. We especially appreciated the washer & dryer in the bathroom that allowed us to complete some laundry before returning home. The bedding was extremely comfortable, kitchen facilities were great. The access to the restaurant & bar (with amazing staff) was exactly what we needed after a long drive.

Reception staff were very friendly and welcoming. Cleaning staff friendly. We stayed in Room 501 which had an amazing view of the harbour. The room was modern, well designed and had a kitchenette with hotplate and microwave, big fridge, washer, dryer and safe. It was immaculately clean, the bed comfortable and pillows divine. Secure undercover parking. I thought this was all really great value and the location is central to most things in Gladstone. It also offers room service. I'd recommend this hotel and would stay again.

It was all good!

Every thing was just perfect. When we arrived at reception Robin, truley looked after us, he was welcoming and hospitable and understaning. Upon entrying our room soft soothing music was playing the room was fresh and clean. This automatically made us feel very relaxed and looked after. The rooms are very well equipped for all your needs. The view from our room was great especially for fireworks on 31st Dec.

Room was very clean. Great location although we were on the wrong side to be able to watch the New Years fireworks. It was so reasonably priced and included breakfast. Great place and Great price which also included Breakfast which we were very impressed

It was all great but unfortunately the washing machine wasn’t working but the person on duty allowed me to use another washing machine in another room. So friendly and helpful
