Our stay at Tropical Palms Resort was simply beyond our expectations: I slept here with my sister for two nights and everything was just perfect. Clean room and bathroom, there's a beautiful outside pool that unfortunately we didn't have time to use. Rob and his wife (so sorry I forgot her name) were so friendly and recommended places to visit and where to eat in the area. Rob provided us a map of all the island with the best highlights. This place is a little gem in this paradise of an island! Best choice ever 💙 thank you for everything!

The fact that I had to leave

After a week of running around sightseeing here and there, I arrived on Magnetic Island hoping most of all for rest and relaxation, and Tropical Palms was absolutely perfect for that! Rob welcomed me warmly in spite of my failure to properly communicate a late arrival, and gave lots of tips on where to go for walks to spot wildlife. My room was comfortable and clean, and overall the place was really lovely, laid-back and peaceful. I was glad I'd picked the location by Picnic Bay, which is probably the most quiet part of the island. There's nevertheless a nice selection of restaurants nearby, and a nice beach, and koalas live right next doors! Loved it!

The only thing I didn't like was that I only had time to stay for two nights.

This was a hidden gem that exceeded our expectations. It was easy to find and just a short walk from the esplanade that has a few restaurants, a pub, a cafe, a brewery and a gorgeous beach with a jetty to fish off (or just watch the world go by) and a swimming net. Picnic Bay is a quite spot on the island but the busses run frequently and on time to get you anywhere else on the island if you want to explore. The man on reception was so friendly with a no fuss check in and super informative about anything we needed to know. The accommodation is small but absolutely spotless. Paths and gardens were clean and maintained, the pool was sparkling, the outdoor bbq area super clean and spacious and the rooms were just perfect, actually better than the photos. They had everything we needed for our night stay, we would definitely stay again and hopefully for longer next time.

Tropical Palms is in a perfect location to enjoy the beautiful Picnic Bay. It is walking distance from the beach, surf club, restaurants and the pub. The local bus stops outside which was handy as we arrived after dark. The staff were amazing, friendly and very attentive to our needs. During our stay we noted how hard working the staff were in keeping the grounds looking immaculate. The pool and BBQ area is peaceful and also very clean. The room was a little small but it was perfect for our 1 night stay. The shower was excellent! Highly recommend and we would stay again.

wonderful stay at this place. The moment I walked in, I was greeted by friendly receipt . The check-in was quick and easy. The room was clean and comfortable. The bed was soft, which allowed me to have a good rest. The facilities in the room were all in good condition. The service during my stay was excellent. The housekeeping was thorough every day. Whenever I had a request, the staff would respond promptly. I am very satisfied with this accommodation and would recommend it to others.

Great location, hotel across road, never heard any noise from it, mall short walk away with a brewery, divine casual dining, pizza n pasta, and a place to enjoy breakfast and lunch, nice to sit and watch the water or after take a stroll down to netted swimming area, or along the jetty to fish. The resort is not large (thankfully) but well presented with a pool area, BBQ area. Also hires out vehicles. We have already booked to go back! Loved it!

Nothing springs to mind.

I was a little bit nervous about travelling to Maggie for the first time with my 3 year old. Catching the ferry and the correct buses, but the managers were very helpful! Upon arrival we were very welcomed! I had forgotten milk for my little one and the managers came and gave me some additional milk at 7pm at night. We had a great time chilling in the pool and the accom is only a short walk to the beach!

That it simply wasn’t long enough and that we only stayed 1 night :)

We had a wonderful 4 night stay at this lovely small resort. Rooms and the whole resort are scrupulously clean and owners and staff are very friendly and helpful. It is well located around the corner ( 3 minute walk) from the beach, shops, restaurants and pub and the lovely tree filled mall. Value for money was exceptional.

No complaints at all!

Great location near the local brewery, Cafe, Italian restaurant and pub. Very close to the beach which was great for swimming. Bus stops right outside apartment. Easy access to walking trails into town and lookout. Coffee plunger, pots, electric frypan, microwave and fridge all provided. Such friendly hosts who were really helpful and informative. Balcony had a little table because we were on the end, this was really great!!

Handy location to the remainder of our family and the venue for our son's birthday party celebrations. The owners were extremely welcoming and were willing to offer any assistance required.

Only a minor thing but the toilet roll dispensers. Would have preferred normal toilet roll on a toilet roll holder.
