Location and restaurant were excellent, the accomodation was very clean including a fridge and tea and coffee ..... the gardens were very well maintained..... very easy to get to town staff were very helpful and friendly ...

the rooms were a litle dated and the rear sliding doors to the garden were exctremley stiff to open, maybe if they cleaned the runners of the doors free of all the grass clippings and put new rollers on the bottom of the doors they would be very easy to open, some people would have trouble opening them in an emergency. sorry if that sounds petty but its a vallid point with the amount of people that travel through

We are country people who love country towns and felt like this place represented the town well. Who doesn't love a rustic place to stay!? We got a two bedroom family room for the night and was perfect for all our needs and was spacious for a one night stay over. First of the motels we've been to that gave a king bed, family room, at their price! Star quality food at the restaurant on site and the staff were absolutely lovely and accommodating. Room service and reception were very quick to handle all our needs and was a comfort for us! Exceeded expectations and will be coming back if we come through again 🙂 - side note, the buggy they use for room service made me laugh but also made me smile because it shows how quickly they attend to guests 🙂🙌

Maintenance issue with tap handle falling off over bathroom sink reported to reception. While there are the above cooking appliances in room there were only 2 mugs, 2 glasses and 2 teaspoons. If you are going to have your own food bring some plates and cutlery. This recommendation was given to reception. There is a great onsite restaurant.

The Overlander Homstead is on the outskirts of Roma. It was in a great location near the present Outback Sculpture display and a short walk or drive to the town centre. The rooms are well maintained, spacious, and well equipped. The bed was the most comfortable, and with the lovely thick quilt on that cold night, we were very snug. The owners are lovely and so helpful.

Everything. Room is more like a spare in a luxury house. Parking in front of room. Big TV. All the staff are next level. Couldn’t have felt more welcome. Probably the best motel I’ve stayed at. And the restaurant and food was 5 star quality.

Breakfast ordered on the prior evening and delivered to our room on time. Beds were very comfortable and everything was clean and well maintained. Onsite restaurant was outstanding and the staff were so friendly! We will absolutely be back!

Everything about the Overlander is welcoming, I arrived later than anticipated after navigating flood waters and was welcomed by Charles by name as I walked in the door somewhat bedraggled, he then suggested I head to the restaurant and they will look after me for dinner. I checked into my room and it was old world charm plus comfort. I spent two nights in a very comfortable room with a wonderful bed. the food in the restaurant was lovely but the customer service even better. Amanda, Charles wife introduced herself - and Jodie served me drinks - plonked me in front of the TV to relax for a moment while I thought about what to have for dinner. Jodie is exceptional at what she does and genuinely enjoys her job and people - I felt like I was dining with old friends. Fantastic experience for me on a work trip - I won’t stay anywhere else now when travelling to Roma. Excellent work guys and thank you 🥂😊

Restaurant on site was excellent with good selection of food and wines in elegant surroundings - not what we had anticipated. Reception was excellent as was the room and equipment so cannot recommend high enough.

Nothing really - maybe the pillows were a bit hard for my partner but she is rather fussy in this regard! She absolutely loved the staff and owner!

Rooms clean and comfortable (especially the beds!). Highlight is the hosts and staff! Welcoming and friendly- genuine country hospitality. The on site restaurant is fantastic- reasonable pricing and a great feed. Thanks Amanda for being extra sweet with our boys, you made their stay!

Check in was straight forward and management had plenty of time for chats about the local area. Couldn't ask for anything more. Some of the best chefs within the region work at the overlander.

I wouldn't change a thing. A great little stay.
