Whilst this is a traditional-looking motel, our room had been recently renovated and was in excellent order with many helpful and modern facilities. We had a good night’s sleep in what is a relatively quiet location, even though it’s very handy for cross-country commuters. The owner was obliging when I rang to say we would be arriving late and gave the impression that he genuinely wants his guests to enjoy their stay. Bordertown is relatively sleepy but has plenty of eateries close by (We tried the Soul Cafe and it was excellent). Would recommend 105 to anyone wanting a clean and quiet overnight in this area.

We couldn't have been happier with the value for money. The accommodation was fantastic, from the moment you entered the room you could tell the staff really wanted to make the stay as elegant as they could for their guests. The rooms look to be recently renovated, the smart tvs are a great extra touch, and the heating and cooling works so well. The beds were comfortable, and the linen and towels were quality. It's also only 2 minutes away from the local OTR if you need to grab a snack from the shops. We would recommend this place to anybody stopping at Bordertown as the best value for money stay in town. Well be booking here again the next time we're in Bordertown!!

The next door neighbours to the motel, were quite noisy and it's a shame that there isn't a regular police presence in town to accommodate for concerns as such. Unfortunately the neighbours were blasting music until 4am having a drunken party and wouldn't turn down the amplifier and bass even after speaking with them. I appreciate that this isn't the blame of the motel staff but it does add to the vulnerability of the location if crime or theft was to occur during the stay.

Room had been newly refurbished and all electric devices (e.g. Microwave, iron etc.) were brand new. Room was clean, bed was as good as we have slept in anywhere and the people running it were excellent, making sure that everything was to our liking, very lovely helpful couple.

Room was small, but had all facilities required, perfect for an overnight stay, but for a long term stay probably would be a bit claustrophobic. But in its defense the owners could not make our room any bigger, but there were bigger rooms within the complex.

Cleanliness: excellent. Separate areas: large dining area + large lounge area. Air con excellent. Bathroom: long wide ledge on the window sill; mirror allows for tall and short people. Bedding: warm. Power points: lots in bedrooms, lounge and dining. Kitchenette: great supplies (utensils, tea, coffee, biscuits, milk supplies) and presentation. Lamps: Pleasing to have bed-lamps for both bedrooms.

Car parking is right by the door for all guests so can hear cars driving in and out, doors slamming and people talking but only for a few minutes each time. No power point in the bathroom, (hair dryer provided but nowhere to plug in).

We had 2 nights in room 9, and think it's a good motel with all the amenities you'd expect plus some, as we've stayed at way more exxie places with less. Was pleasantly surprised they serviced our room, so that's a big tick. The settings not that flash but it's opposite the park area and is a pleasant 20 minute walk into town & the neighbourhood is peaceful. Congrats to new(ish) Indian owners who are doing a great job.

All pretty good

Bright and crisp room with care taken to provide comfort- double blinds, comfortable bed, modern bathroom, white towels. The room warmed quickly. Friendly reception. Nice view of the park. (If you have stayed at this location in its previous life, don't avoid it- the two cannot be compared!)

I suggested that the owners provide a means to clear water from outside the shower alcove- a small mop or squeegee. The suggestion was well-received.

small and quiet. great receptionists, after hours check in made super easy. Rooms had everything they needed, electric blankets on the beds, nice renovated bathrooms in the "executive queen rooms" just basic, clean and nice.

Nothing at all really! some guests could use common sense when checking out at early hours, I was woken up at 5.30 in the morning due to someone shutting car doors quiet loudly. but it is what it is. - courtesy notes about this are written in the room but some people can't help themselves and you'll get that anywhere. :) not the facilities problem.

The staff were helpful and able to assist with questions we had in regard to the local sights and facilities. The room was well equipped with everything we needed for our one night stay.

There's a lack of bench space. We really had to juggle where to put things, ie. 2 large bags, carry bags, toiletry bags, toaster & kettle ... then used bowls & plates, etc. In our room, there was one luggage rack, a single dining chair, and a small bench that also held the microwave. A second luggage rack would be handy. The information book in the room needs to be updated to note the new owners.

The motel was an older style but was exceptionally clean, tidy and comfortable. We were greeted warmly by the staff. The motel is situated on the edge of town and was really quiet. Easier to drive to local eateries etc. The room and bathroom were spacious. Appreciated the hard copy Guest Information folder which had menus from all the local eateries.

Nothing. We would stay there again if driving through Bordertown.

The owner had done an amazing job transforming an older style motel into a modern great value establishment. Very thoughtful decor makes for a very pleasant room. We stay at a lot of motels and have never seen even ceramic style handles in the shower. Makes for very easy adjustment, and especially good for people with arthritic hands.
