Location was perfect for us - Being sited on the outskirts of town meant it was quiet and relaxing, with a beautiful view over the valley, yet it was also close enough to be within an easy walk or ride of facilities. And the ride mention is worth coming back to.. Bring, or hire, a bike! The Reisling Trail, which the Lodge fronts on to, is an absolute highlight of Clare; within minutes you can be at a number of wineries, or in the heart of town for food. The two bedroom suite was spacious and comfortable, well suited to our family.

Honestly, nothing to add here - the stay was wonderful.

Our getaway in Clare was just lovely while staying at Brice Hill Lodge. We stayed in the cottage, which is separate from the other part of the property, but not at all far. The cottage is sweet and cosy with a lovey fireplace. Beds were big and comfortable, and the bathrooms were perfect for two families. We brought our own bikes, but bike hire is next to the property if needed, and the Reisling Trail is just in front. In terms of location, it's perfect for getting around to wineries and shops either by bike or car. The cottage didn't have a coffee machine, but the Clare Bakery was just over the road, so we grabbed our morning coffee from there. The kitchenette was all we needed to make breakfast (on the bbq outside) and prepare some platters. Otherwise, we ate out at one of the many wineries and restaurants around Clare. KD was a super friendly host and was very communicative throughout our stay. The breakfast provisions were ample, and the little touches like a bottle of wine and a few chocolates were a lovely surprise!

I loved this property and the photo's don't do it justice. The owners ensure you want for nothing, with a fully stocked fridge for breakfast, milk, eggs, bacon, juice, bread, cereals and spreads all provided. Welcomed with a lovely bottle of local red with wine glasses and fresh roses was delightful. The huge spa bath in the extremely spacious bathroom was very much appreciated after a few days of bike riding which we hired on site. Andrew who looked after us with the bike hire was really helpful, delightful and an all-round 'great guy' to deal with.

Local restaurants don't seem to deliver and as the property isn't "in" town, be sure to grab dinner supplies in town first if you plan on visiting a few wineries! If you do eat at the property they have a great BBQ area by the pool or in the private courtyard on each unit.

Excellent location. Very peaceful. Right on the Riesling Trail with Clare Valley Cycle Hire on the property - very easy to hire bikes and be on your way! A short drive (or walk!) to the main centre of Clare. Adequate kitchen to cook your breakfast with provided provisions (bacon, eggs, bread, spreads, yoghurt, cereal, milk, orange juice). Coffee machine worked well. Easy check in and check out process.

Bed a little hard for my liking. Breakfast could include some fruit. Could do with a deep clean ie get rid of the cobwebs and clean under the bed/couch. Would be lovely to have some chairs out the front of the room to sit and admire the view.

There is a beautiful garden outside the house we stayed. Well planted flowers and bushes with lovely roses even in the early winter. The overall environment is attractive and charming.

While the first night was simple to set up a fire but It look great difficulty to light up the fire place in the second night with no kindling or small pieces of wood to start the fire. The split type air conditioner worked but could not deliver warm air.

Beautiful lodge and a very comfortable stay .. the spa bath is fantastic (aside from the water being pumped from the water tank) - but it was just a minor inconvenience. Otherwise everything was top notch and the hosts were extremely generous with all the provisions to make our stay extra special. Thank you so much for a wonderful place.

Netflix enabled TV would have been great, otherwise we watched some of the old 80s movies on the DVDs provided - so not a big deal. Same for a Bluetooth speaker to play Spotify music would have been great - but our ipads did the trick instead.

A wonderful place to explore the Clare Valley. We had a large well equipped suite with everything we needed to enjoy our three-day stay. Clean and spacious. Great communication and a warm welcome. Lots of nice touches including very generous supplies for a cooked or continental breakfast, and a bottle of wine and chocolates on the table. The Riesling Trail is literally on the doorstep, and you can either hire a bike on-site or simply walk to many of the nearby vineyards.

Upon arrival we were both shocked and surprised at the accommodation in a good way. From the bottle of wine on the table to the nice selection of food left for us. In reference to the expectation created by the ad. The room was just as it looked in the ad and the surrounding gardens were very relaxing to sit in and soak up the view. Would we stay again if we visit Clare? Yes Would we encourage our family to stay here? Yes

We needed to leave to continue exploring South Australia. We wish we could have stayed for longer.

The Taylor Suite is 1 of 4 suites. It is well equipped. There is a reverse cycle heater in the lounge as well as an open fire. The kitchen was compact but included a fridge, hotplate and coffee machine (a good quality non-stick frypan was provided). Breakfast makings were provided including bread, eggs, bacon, cereal, orange juice, a large container of milk (to use with the coffee machine)! The bathroom was spacious with plenty of room to put your toiletries. It included a spa bath, shower and heated towel rails. There is a separate room with space for your suitcase and to hang clothes. There was a Chesterfield lounge and an antique table and chairs in the lounge area. There were heavy drapes on the windows. There was a private area out the back with table, chairs and webber bbq. The WIFI worked well and was free. There is car parking on the property close to the suite. The suites are on the side of a hill with a spacious garden below which includes a rotunda and chairs and a separate outdoor swimming pool which also has a larger sized bbq. At the bottom of the garden there is access to the walking trail known as the "Riesling Trail". Approx 200 metres away is a terrific Bakery - the vanilla slice was excellent.

Nothing.

Experience from start to finish was perfect. Owner checked in to welcome us and confirm everything was ok. Rooms were great, spacious with excellent views across the property. Even had Kangaroos cruising around the grassed areas in the morning. Breakfast provisions were excellent and loved the wood fire. If I could I would have given this 11/10.
