While the room was very basic and even dated, all the facilities I required were ther and the bed was very comfortable. The meals were delicious and when I thought to ask, I was able to get a half serve, which suited my appetite better. The same food was available in the bistro and via room service. I thoroughly enjoyed my seafood platter, trying mussels for the first time ever. And pavlova for dessert is always a favourite. There was a breakfast pack in the room alone with bottled water. These were free and optional. If you used them, they were repalced at no charge, but there was no obligation to use them. Room also had free WiFi.

The only thing to improve my stay would have been a lift. All accommodation was upstairs and between heavy cases and a crook knee, I found going up and down stairs all the time a challenge. Also, staff need to remember they are under customer windows when out the back in the wee hours having a smoke and a chat.

The location was excellent. Close to a two supermarkets, tourist information and many cafes and restaurants. It was in very easy walking distance to various landmarks and the Railway museum. Having a small refrigerator and kettle in the room made it convenient to make tea and coffee whenever desired. Also my room had direct access to the front verandah with views to the waterfront. The room was serviced daily which was above and beyond!

Everything ... Extremely appropriately priced - great staff - food is very affordably priced and great tasting! Absolutely LOVED it here ... Easy going - down to earth - genuine establishment ... Can't wait to go back!

Everything was beyond expectations... I couldn't even put into words how happy and over satisfied I was with every aspect of this place ... Keep up the great work guys !!

If you are looking for that old Aussie pub feel or have never experienced it The Tasman is the place to go. What this Grand Old Lady of a building may lack in a more modern fit out she more than well makes up in the friendly and helpful staff. all for a very fair price.

Staff super friendly and helpful. Room clean and well stocked with coffee/tea etc. Really appreciated the complementary on-the-go breakfast box.

Bathroom a bit dated, but clean and has everything you need.

Everyone was super helpful and friendly . The hotel is in the perfect area in town. They also give you a bottle of water, breakfast pack, mini shampoo, conditioner, body wash and soap as well

We had a 1st floor front room with a lounge area over looking the waterfront. The staff we very kind and friendly and gave us lots of local information to help with our stay.

Beautiful site with beautiful view and a remarkable customer service by the staff.

The parking maybe needs some improvement by posting signs for "WAY IN" and "WAY OUT".

Older style but comfortable rooms, excellent dining room with great food, and central location in town is great with shopping close by or even taking a walk along the beach front.
