The unit was fabulous and was so pleased we up graded to a Unit with a bath. Plenty of towels provided, the bed was very comfortable and the Unit very clean. Thoroughly enjoyed the meal at the restaurant, can highly recommend. In general Cradle Mountain is expensive all round so it is a good idea to purchase supplies at Deloraine or Sheffield if you have a self contained unit.. The Caravan Park General Store at Cradle has a good range of supplies if needed. The Wilderness Village will supply a breakfast hamper, enough for two people, for $40. There plenty of food in the hamper and we thought the hamper was reasonable value.
When we arrived there was no milk in the fridge and one standard tea bag. The lovely reception staff soon sorted us out with milk and more tea bags.

We stayed in a premium room with spa bath (for 2 ppl only). It was amazing - exceptionally well equipped, everything you could need in the kitchenette, comfortable sofa, easy to use fire (which we needed even in the middle of summer 😀), dining table, very comfortable bed, great shower, chairs on the balcony and an absolutely amazing view of the forest. We were suspended above the forest floor and almost the whole of one side of the cabin was floor to ceiling windows. We could just sit and watch the birds come through the trees for hours 😀. Value for money was excellent at the price we paid via booking.com although full price (some people were checking in just before us and were paying about 40% more) is a little expensive even for this location. Literally walking distance from the park visitor centre, the location is excellent.
Everything was great - only small criticism is that the restaurant has a very limited menu and is a little pricey (although the prices were pretty much the same as the other restaurants in the area - there are very few).

I recently had a fantastic stay at this location. The setting was perfect, offering an up-close and personal experience with nature. The room was incredibly comfortable, featuring a king-size bed and excellent pillows that ensured a great night's sleep. The spa was also a highlight, providing a relaxing and rejuvenating experience. We enjoyed a delightful dinner at the onsite restaurant, which exceeded our expectations. The food was not only delicious but also beautifully presented. When we inquired about some of the ingredients, the attentive and friendly wait staff promptly consulted the chef to provide us with detailed answers. Their exceptional service truly enhanced our dining experience. Overall, it was a wonderful stay, and I highly recommend it!
My stay had one hiccup, the check-in process after hours. I never received the text or email with instructions and was left unsure of what to do. The restaurant was busy and unable to assist, which added to the frustration. I ended up ringing the emergency number and, luckily, some office staff were still onsite to help. Additionally, I didn't receive the usual milk for the room, so I couldn't have coffee in the morning. However, the staff did make up for it by offering us free coffee from the restaurant when I checked out. While the initial experience was challenging, the gesture at checkout was appreciated and the staff were very apologetic.

This is the best value, self contained accommodation in the Cradle Mountain area. The rooms are well maintained and clean, it is just across the road from the Cradle Mountain Visitors Centre and is very reasonably priced in comparison to other options near Cradle Mountain.
If you are staying more than one night you'll notice all of the nearby rooms being serviced each day after people have checked out. You'll also notice that that same service is not available to you. Despite paying the same nightly rate as a single night's stay, you won't be offered any cleaning services and if you run out of anything, you'll have to go to the main office and ask for a top up. Rather than being offered a discount for an extended stay, you'll pay the full rate, but receive less service.

The cabin we stayed in was great! The bed was incredibly comfortable and the living areas were spacious. I didn't realize that the place didn't have AC or a fan and we happened to visit during their hottest days. The restaurant is pricey but delicious. We made a reservation one night and ate from the takeout menu the other night. The pizza was super good! The location was great though we didn't end up having time to actually explore Cradle Mountain National Park. We did visit Devils @ Cradle and highly recommend doing a tour! We wish we would have spent more time here so we could do stuff in the park.
No AC or fans

Easy access from car park to cabin. Room lay out compact. Bed and bathroom very good, and good flow of hot water.
Yes this is a good one. I don’t like the fact that they keep our credit card details on paper which we fill in on arrival so they can charge us if something is broken. They told me it was company policy to hole for TWO YEARS. Keep in a box in the back office I think this is BS #####. The document should be trashed when you have checked out and room inspection. What happens if someone breaks in and finds them ???? Huge security problem. After some time the front desk lady offed to trash my detail but I would have to wait till they could get house keeping to check. How long will that take not sure 🤔

My cabin was spacious and comfortable, surrounded by beautiful Tasmanian wilderness bush. There was a good kitchen with a useful set of cooking utensils. Good TV. Good bathroom with very good shower. The restaurant was very good, as were the takeaway meals. I bought the breakfast bag, which is intended for two people and which I ate over two days. That enabled me to have a hearty breakfast before my walks., The staff at the lodge were superb - very friendly and helpful. Some went to the trouble of remembering people's names. Overall I felt very comfortable there and would definitely stay there again.
I think they could use more staff at certain times at reception. The guest clientele comprises a high proportion of foreigners who struggle with English and so require more check-in and check-out time. At those busy times, extra staff would be useful to speed up the check-in process.

It is in a very handy location. The room had the facilities required. Clean.
It was overpriced for the size of the rooms. It was difficult to book as there were multiple computer glitches. We couldn't get the stove to work, rang the reception and 3 hrs later found out a switch on the underside of the cupboard had been turned off, suggested it was the cleaner. We had microwaved baked beans for dinner while waiting. Maybe find a way so that switch isn't flipped off, or put up clearer stove operating instructions or trouble shooting guide. Needs more hooks to hang items up. The spa bath is a bath fir one with jets.

This was our night in the luxury cottage with spa bath. The room had a very comfortable king-sized bed, and an enclosed spa bath in the middle of the room (which took an age to fill). There was a gas log fire which made the room very comfortable when it got chilly in the evening. It had a small kitchen, with a kettle, fridge and microwave, plus a coffee machine and a few freebies. The bathroom had some extra touches with robes, slippers and good quality toiletries. A vastly superior experience to the family chalet that we had the following nights.
Nothing to add to my other review.

Amazing location, warm, comfortable, spotlessly clean. Had a cabin with a spa bath in the centre of the room looking out to the forest. My husband loved it ( I’d rather have had more living space, but you can’t please everyone). Very convenient for visitor centre to cradle mountain. Takeaway pizza available, and a fine dining option- nothing in between, and either self cater or breakfast pack can be bought on site. I’d have liked somewhere to buy/ eat breakfast, but assume there isn’t the demand. Staff were great, would love to stay again.
No where to buy food at breakfast time.
