For a family suit I was expecting a little bit more from the kitchenette when it comes to utensils. Also the quality of the toiletpaper and the 3-in-1 shower gel didn't make the cut for us. The checkout was at 10 and Terry let us stay till 10.30, I find this very early for a checkout especially that check-in is at 1 or 2 pm, but I understand this is pretty standard in Victoria.

The bathroom was modern and the hot water was excellent (often an issue in motels). The heating was excellent (so often it doesn't work properly in motels I've stayed in). The room was very comfortable and quiet. The motel is very close to the hotel we dined at and the centre of town. I liked that the soap and shampoo were in pump bottles - those soaps and shampoos packaged in plastic in many motels are not environmentally friendly. Our host was very helpful and provided a comprehensive list of all the businesses and their opening hours for each day of the Christmas season.

The weather had been quite wet and the door mat wasn't sufficient for us to clean our shoes properly before entering. We could have swept the carpet but there was no broom and pan provided.

Wasn't planning to love this motel, but wow! Totally remodeled rooms. Excellent water pressure. Outlets very plentiful. Kitchenette was perfectly stocked for our needs and bonus was being next door to a Coles grocery! Just passing through on a bicycle ride, so didn't get all the potential but it was exceptional for our needs. Thank you!

A small motel that is big on service. And the units are very roomy too. Run by a lovely couple who do extra little things like turning the heater on before your arrival. The motel is in a very central location, walking distance from a large supermarket and two of the main fast food outlets. Each time I've stayed there the precinct's been surprisingly quiet and I've had a very sound sleep.

Nothing, really. The only thing I could mention is that the hot water is BOILING HOT and I had to keep reminding myself to be really careful with the settings.

Lonsdale Hotel had a spacious shower bay and a large room that accommodated to couples and young families, giving each person enough space for themselves. The mini bar was also stocked with everything you could need and the shops were all in close proximity making it a travellers dream. Staff were accommodating and friendly, would visit again.

I wished the kitchenette would’ve been more self sufficient with a stove or oven so we could’ve cooked our own meals given the length of our stay. As well, the toilet behind the bathroom door was an interesting design feature and I would recommend maybe a sliding door to make it more accessible for couples and avoid having a door opened on you.

We stayed in the family suite for our family of 2 adults and 2 kids. It contained a separate bedroom with x2 single beds and a TV. Perfect size accommodation that didn’t feel cramped. Modern decor, very clean rooms with crisp clean comfortable bedding and lovely soft towels. Split system heating and cooling unit looked brand new and was high quality as it was completely silent (good if you’re a light sleeper) and it kept the family suite at our chosen temperature setting. Our family suite was located at the back of the block so nil street traffic disturbed our sleep. Motel is situated exactly next door to Coles supermarket which opens everyday from 7am - 9pm. Super convenient location as we were able to get essential supplies including petrol from a large chain servo that was virtually across the road. We arrived late at 7:30pm for checkin. Terry at reception was communicative, friendly and helpful. He waited for our arrival, had set our room to a comfortable temperature and advised us of contact details in case reception was closed. A thoroughly enjoyable stay.

Nothing at all. The room was well equipped for our very brief stay including a couple complimentary popper sized Devondale milks in the fridge.
