The location, we were travelling to Melbourne hence worked well. We didn’t have any real expectations. When we arrived, it was nice to walk in to a warm room. The owners left the heater on for us which was so lovely as it was extremely cold. Great for short stays. We would stay there again 😊

There weren’t enough blankets - we didn’t like to leave the little electric heater on all night, we managed.

Staff is very nice and approachable. The garden is also nice with plum fruits! The room has good size and the beds are comfortable. Good value for money.

The toilet's door lock is broken; good thing there's a stopper that is provided. A heater is provided in the room, but none in the shower/toilet area. The garden can be improved.

The bedding was clean, the towels were clean and apart from a couple of cobwebs, the rest of the room was clean. The water was hot and the bed had an electric blanket. The motel is set back from the road a little, which helps with the traffic noise. It was all I needed.

The room was basic and on the small side. The fixtures and fittings were dated and worn. There were cracks in the wall and in the wall tiles of the shower. It is exactly as the name suggests; a "budget" room. Very comfortable though!

Convenient stop over on the way to elsewhere. Wonderful owner who was very friendly and accommodating of our request to use the BBQ and helped us clean everything before we started. The rooms were basic but comfortable. Overall a nice place to stay even though it was a bit run down.

Everything was a bit run down and tired. But nothing was terrible. The BBQ area was dusty and dirty but it got braved as soon as we said we wanted to use it. A bit of traffic noise from passing trucks but we're heavy sleepers so it wasn't a big deal.

Definitely a budget room. No frills. However: the staff were excellent, the bed was very comfortable, the room although older was very clean, the shower was hot, and the area was quiet. Great night's sleep.

An upgrade of the bathroom would be a great addition. Putting the TV on the wall would make the room look bigger.

Bed was super comfy, value for money, friendly hosts. Just out of town, this is a hidden gem for budget friendly travellers. Don't be fooled by the looks from the street. The room was super clean and spacious, was very quiet inside aswell. We will stay again if in the area.

Shower was a bit small.

Room is very spacious, enough for multiple bags without feeling cramped. Love that lounge chairs are available so it feels like a little living area in front or the TV. Really handy to have carpark out the front of the room too.

Bed not the most comfortable but still a decent night sleep.

Polite friendly staff who were very welcoming and obliging. The room was clean with immaculate new bedding. And clean towels and even a specially marked make-up remover face washer. Nice touch! New bedside light which was good. For a basic standard lowest cost room I was pleased to have a kettle, toaster, hair-dryer and microwave which was great. As well as TV. They are in the process of making improvements to an oldish motel and I wish them well.

Staff very nice professional room was clean and a lot of thought had gone into supplying for our needs/comfort. Bed a bit uncomfy some springs sticking out but appreciated this place providing refuge in the middle of our road trip thanks very much

This hotel is what you would call 'old school' but that is what makes it so awesome. I loved this place. It was clean, comfortable and while not what you would call recently built, was a really positive experience. The staff were really accommodating with my late arrival and I was delighted when I got the room. The bed was super comfortable. So, accept you are going to have a slightly nostalgic experience of hotels that were the norm when I was a boy but this place is as cosy, welcoming and comfortable as any traveller would need. I'll be back!

I loved this place but others may expect their motels to be more recently constructed. I get that. But if you like authentic and something a little different, this is the place for you. I really enjoyed my stay here and I'm glad I booked it.
