Ive stayed here before, and it was my first choice to stay there again, the beds are very confortable and have quality pillows making for a good nights sleep, the location is fantastic, right across the road from the beach front and very close to the main street.

The room service breakfast was absolutely terrible, I dont know how long my meal had been sitting under the foil covering the plate, but the food was cold, the person plating up the meal put everything on top of the toast and it all sweated and made the toast soggy, some salt and pepper wouldnt have gone astray either, the meal was so bad that I cancelled the next mornings breakfast.

The room was spacious, reasonably clean, and cozy. There's plenty of space for luggage. The bed was comfortable. There was a desk, a coffee table, a lounge, and even a bath in the bathroom!

The hairdryer is one of those cheap ones fitted to the wall and without a concentrator on the end. There is limited space for dryer clothes outside but no clothes airer in the room or washing line in the bathroom. Some of the rooms are almost directly behind another part of the building and so are quite dark.

Firstly the staff were so friendly and helpful. Absolutely perfect location. Our room was very clean. Beds were so comfortable. We ate at their restaurant (sorry i can't remember the name) I thought i had died and gone to food heaven, Highly recommend their Bangers and Mash. This is not your average Bangers and Mash, Trust me you will not be disappointed. Walking distance to just about everything including fishing. I love this place and will become a regular.

Very friendly staff and willing to help with any questions we had both about facilities and locations/activities. The housekeeping came daily to empty the bins, change the towels if wanted and remake the bedding. The pool was very well maintained and the bench areas were situated in the shade. The breakfast at their restaurant was great, lots of variety in the food. Location is just across for the beach.

Location is excellent and the meals here are always good

New management, a couple of areas in the room where food remnants had been left on a bedside table, and one of the glasses in the room was dirty. I also was slightly offended by the fact I have been a regular visitor to this place for many years and was asked for identification . when questioned I was told that it is the law I explained that I visit many towns around the country and have never been asked for such a thing.

Being able to walk along the foreshore

Having received our booking confirmation on 14 April - almost three months before our stay, we were very disappointed to be given a room near the road, where parking our car adjacent to the room was not easily achieved. Furthermore, within minutes of checking in and looking ant our room, and upon asking if there was another room available, we were told in strong terms that we’d booked a standard room and that’s what we had. In fact our booking confirmation said we had a deluxe room. Having previously stayed there numerous times over the past 13 years, this lack of concern for the guest was most disappointing.

Love the newly renovated bathroom. The beds were super crisp and clean and comfortable. The location is just a walk from the peir hotel and opposite the esplanade.

Parking was abit of a hassle as it was booked pretty much booked out. Was confused about the restaurant as we walked and a staff member smiled at us but then walked away, we were going to eat there.

Its great to have a restaurant as part of the motel, The restaurant is great and has a great menu and the food great and staff are friendly and welcoming

It is a bit limited for parking outside of your room but there is parking across the road, it just makes it hard if you have a room at the back and have to carry bags etc..

I liked being right on the Esplanade, which was a good place for walking (though often windy). It was also close to the Museum Village as well as a couple of good restaurants. Though my reservation printout didn't list a microwave, our room had one. The beds (queen-sized and twin) were comfortable. My husband slept on the twin bed so I could get better sleep. I thought the queen bed was one of the more comfortable beds on our trip. The shower had good pressure and the temperature stayed reasonably steady as long as the water was run for a minute or so first and the volume was fairly high. There is a guest laundry with two washing machines and two dryers. The washers are fairly large (double capacity?), as are the dryers. Tokens can be purchased from reception. Another guest told us that a local laundromat was more expensive. We used our own detergent, but apparently that is available from the reception desk as well. The motel honored our special request for a quiet room and put us in the back away from traffic noise, etc. We lucked out with quiet neighbors. We did not eat in the motel restaurant except to have dessert one evening. Though both desserts tasted good, we thought they were overpriced, especially the chocolate lava cake.

The shower was a little bit slippery, so be careful. We had to empty the small refrigerator of most of the mini-bar items (which are for sale) to get our own stuff in there. The little freezer did not seem to actually freeze our ice packs, but at least it got them cold. (There was a sign saying not to change the temperature of the fridge.) There were no electrical outlets near the bedside tables that we could use. (There was a sign saying not to unplug the bedside clock.)

Comfort Inn is a top class motel. We stayed there a lot in previous years. It has maintained a consistency over many years of a very good place to stay. It has every amenity in the room that a traveller could need.

Full breakfast on Sunday, but I understand the difficulty in keeping a chef 7 days a week in a country town. The chef would need time off.
