I liked how the room made me feel more at ease after a long drive where it was really relaxing. I adored the caring staff for how friendly they were. I really enjoyed the amount of space and bathroom facilities as being a taller than average person myself, I enjoyed having it be where the shower catered for that. The view from the room was really awesome and suited my expectations. Would love to stay again and am excited to return sometime in the near future.

How the shower taps were interesting to figure out and would take ages to become warm/hot. The lack of soap in the bathroom to wash hands. The freezer compartment being overly iced which reduced space size to store frozen goods. There being no extra bin liners as we did need it.

This is a nice place to stay. The staff area friendly and rooms area quite nice.

In the description it says there is a Fridge, without asking I automatically assumed it was a full size fridge. It was a Bar fridge. I come to Geraldton to do my grocery shopping and expected a full size fridge, maybe change description for those of us who do come to Gero for grocery shop. We are not all tourists. Another thing I didn't like was that when I was in the bathroom I couldn't have the window open as it went to our neighbours patio area - if I had opened the window I could have a conversation with neighbours sitting in their patio area.

Very nicely decorated manager was very helpful and assisted with a room upgrade as initial room was different to what we had expected. I noticed a large wasp's nest outside - informed manager who was going to attend to this....didn't happen while we were there as left the next day. Once the upgrade on the restaurant is completed, this venue will be exceptional. I would suggest removing the name where it says 'caravan' park and simply leave it as 'THE AFRICIAN REEF'

needed top sheet on the bed simple accessories like a box of tissues, a washcloth/facecloth in the bathroom would have been good to take it to the next level

Wow, I had travelled from Perth to Derby and was on my way home to Perth, picked the kids and other half up from Broome airport. The African Reef was our last stop before hitting home. Wow it did not disappoint. Actually we didn’t expect much for the money we paid as we had been having to pay in the $400-$500 from Broome. It was freshly painted, new furniture, bed’s extremely comfortable and all new appliances. It was a beautiful 2 bedroom unit and we will definitely stay again if we are passing through.

Not a lot. The shower head was broken so had to rest it against the wall to get water. And not a big deal but maybe some more towel holders in bathroom or another bench as very little space on sink. Oh and a deadlock on the door front and back (sliding door).

The room was very spacious, very clean and tastefully furnished. The bed was king sized and the room had a kettle, clean cutlery and a microwave. Space for a robe, spacious bathroom and amenities were provided. The wall mounted TV was great . The room had a very resort vibe and was very relaxing. Quite different to the impression of the facade. Impressive minimalist interiors.

The washbasin was quite small for a bathroom of that proportion and the king sized bed was two king single beds put together. Albeit being comfortable, the beds kept moving away from the bed head if you sit up on the bed and lean against the bed head. There were no wheel locks for the bed. We had to keep the lounge chairs against the foot of the bed to stop it from moving. The pillows were Kmart ( no problem with that) but were really flat and not firm at all.

We recently had a nice stay at the African Reef. The property was very tidy and clean, which made us feel right at home. Our room was newly renovated and furnished in a modern style, providing a comfortable and spacious environment for our stay. The amenities were well-equipped, ensuring we had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. The only downside was that the Wi-Fi connection was not working, but this minor issue did not detract from our overall enjoyment. We highly recommend this place to anyone!

Room was fresh and very comfortable. the location was great and the view spectacular. although the venue is currently going through a major upgrade I am sure this place will be one of my first, to go-to places in the future with a restaurant and other facilities planned for it.

The room lacked a dining/office workstation which made it a little hard to do any after hours work which a lot of travellers require at the end of the day after travelling.

Really good lighting options and decor. Black out curtains were helpful for sleeping in. Beach vibes were very calming. Incredible view of the ocean. Sites security (pass code nd gates) provided us with comfort. Couch was very comfortable to lounge on.

Never recieved the information to access the internet. The pillows were very flat and uncomfortable. Shower head impacted water pressure/ flow, making it awkward to shower. Pool facilities could use some more shade option.

It was clean revamped small unit yet did what I needed.

Would have liked an iron or iron board yet I’m sure if I’d asked at reception I would have gotten one. The pillows are a bit flat yet the beds get lovely Be great when the main restaurant etc is up and running We had our wedding reception there 14 years ago so was looking forward to that yet al the renovations happening maybe next time we come into town it maybe ready

The refurbished 2 bed apartments are very nice with enough kitchen utensils (other than a kitchen knife) & crockery/glasses etc. Microwave & small fridge, toaster & kettle. Had detergent/teatowel etc. Close to ocean/swimming pool clean & working although I didn't use it.

Perhaps a couple of extra pillows/towels for a family would be good but after asking the cleaning woman that was eagerly given.
