Wonderful！1. The bulk bed is super strong without any noise for turning around on bed or climbing onto the bed. As one of the most common problems for bulk bed in hostel is the noise, this is really a bonus for me. I slept really well after a tiring day. 2. the decorarion of the hostel is super relaxing. I like the birds, the wooden furnitures and the yellow light so much. Also a place to sit at the shower and rhe yellow bed lamp. Bed was soft and supportive.

the drawers of the kitchen were smelly. It doesnt matter if u dontvuse it though.

Simple and straightforward stay, perfect for travelers who value affordability and location. The hostel is centrally located, making it easy to explore the surrounding area. The rooms are basic but clean, with a good mattress and very soft, clean blankets, ensuring a comfortable sleep. A definite plus is the bathroom located right in the room, adding convenience to the stay. The staff is generally helpful, though the reception lady was a bit strict and not particularly welcoming, which made me feel less valued as a guest.

The check-out time is 10:00, which is earlier than I would have preferred—11:00 would be much better. Additionally, the laundry washing in the cellar brought fumes up to the rooms, which was a problem for me due to my allergies. Fortunately, it happened in the morning when I was about to leave in 30 minutes anyway."

We came in around middle to late May and had the 6 bed Dormitory to ourselves! The bathroom was spotless, with fresh towels every morning. The bed was comfy. The lockers was located right outside our room and had lots of room to store valuables. There was also bed lamps , a sidetable as well as a fan provided, which was well used. The only issue we ran into after getting caught in the rain we hoped to use the washing machine but tokens (not moneh coins ) were needed(from receptions) and we were back too late and realised too late that we had to ask reception for them but they are only there between 1 to 5. They also have a hairdryer and extra toilet rolls and 2 in 1 soap/shampoo. Would recommend.

Had a fantastic stay at Hotel Sandwirt! The breakfast was amazing, such a great selection of pastries, fruit, yoghurt, cold meats and cheeses. I would come back just for the breakfast alone. Friendly staff, always happy to see you and answer questions. We even got a discount card through them, giving us 10% of most attractions in the region. Our room was decorated with tradional wooden decore and the bed was super comfy.

The decor is slightly dated, but it all adds to the charm of the place. We visited in a heatwave, no aircon but a big fan in the room was ample and you could open the balcony doors fully for air flow.

First, the receptionist - Mr. Horst was super nice and friendly. He was helpful, dedicated and made my stay there unforgettable. Second, the location is great. It's just 12 minutes walking from the train station. There is a park right next to the hostel where we really enjoyed the morning, strolling around and feeling autumn breeze. Last but not least, this property was perfectly clean. They also offered towel and toiletries for free.

We enjoyed the coziness of this hotel, as well as the warm hospitality of the chef/manager. He was very kind to recommend affordable dining options around Bad Ischl, and also to give us clear instructions on the best way to travel to Hallstatt. We also greatly appreciated the laundry services provided by the hotel.

Getting to and from the hotel with luggage bags was not very convenient, as the hotel is not very near to the train and bus station and is located on a slight incline.

Amazing location, there is a small bakery and a beautiful hill right at the back of the hostel. 10 min walking from downtown. Rooms were cleaned every day. Staff was friendly. Little kitchen in the cellar was functional.

Laundry was too expensive and took too much time.

The dormitory is comfortable and very clean. A few minutes away from the city center.

One of the hosts at the reception was not really welcoming, we felt like we were bothering her which is not nice when you work in a hotel with tourists. But another host man was very friendly. He gave us recommendations and was very flexible to let us leave our luggage in the hotel despite it being closed from 1pm to 5pm. Thank you for that!

I stayed here for 10 days and thought the hostel was excellent. It's a relaxed and friendly hostel, with lots of information about the town and the area in the reception, a hostel cat, and downstairs are good cooking facilities and a washing machine and dryer. Staff were friendly and always helpful. My dormitory room was clean and comfortable, with an en suite bathroom that was cleaned daily. The hostel is located in a residential area and is quiet at night, and is about a 10-minute walk from the town centre. The hostel breakfast was excellent - there was hot cooked food such as sausages, bacon and eggs, as well as a good choice of cereals, yoghurts, fresh fruit, meats and sausages for continental breakfast, and different breads and cakes. I also noticed that they had soya milk, almond milk, vegan yoghurts etc to cater for dietary requirements.
