This nice hotel is surrounded by a beautiful and interesting garden. It is near all the sights and very close to the train station. If you come by train and have heavy luggage you should stay here. Price wise this hotel is very good for Bad Ischl and the area .The hotel is clean. There are nice tables to sit and enjoy the garden. Coffee and tea are free all day long. The staff is very informative. Each day my room was cleaned perfectly.

Unfortunately, no breakfast is available. There is a nice cafe in the train station and others near by.

Hotel is opposite the Bad Ischl railway/bus station, very convenient. Wifi signal is good. Free coffee and tea provided in the pantry, with two coffee dispenser machines available and kettles for hot water boiling. There is a dining area to eat your food, a sun room and garden. For those driving, got ample parking space. Bad Ischl town is within easy walking distance. The bedroom door s spacious and bathroom is huge! The host is friendly.

Check in and check out is very much on trust basis, this is something I find interesting but I do not dislike it. For those checking in late or leaving early, keys will be left at the reception table for self collection.

The property is very conveninently located (2 min. walk from the train station) but still the surroundings are really like somewhere in the woods. It is also vis a vis for the thermal spa and walking distance to the center of the town. Very traditional nice Austrian (Rustikal) style, spacious, comfortable and cozy.

The door to the bathroom is with a smoke glass, i.e., you can see what the person is doing inside.... which is OK for family and friends, but it would be better to have a door without anyting to see through.... Also the entrance was a bit confusing. The open gates say, "Auffahrt (Dirve way)" only on one of the gate poles, but the name of the property and this sign were not togehter. So we made a few rounds to find the actual way in.

Everything exceeded our expectations ... The chalet is spacious and bright, with plenty of natural light, a perfect wood-burning stove, a coffee machine and good coffee beans, and simple self-catering facilities. We chose this lodge because it was in the city centre but also close to the lake area, but the gardens and facilities were so beautiful and have a good taste that we didn't want to leave the chalet we were staying in for even a moment. We would return again in a heartbeat.

It would be great if the kitchen was better equipped with crockery, cutlery and utensils (especially knives).

The location is bang outside the station. But it's a heritage home converted to a quasi hotel quasi bnb. High quality. It's got great old word charm and a botique feel. We stayed in room 19 and it was the best among our hotels in our 15 day Austria trip. The hosts Christian and family are really great.

Nothing

The environment is nice and cozy. The bus stand and railway is just within 3 minutes walking distance. And the view is excellent, you can see several mountains from there.There's also a pretty river.. And there was some nice friendly cats around the house who are friendliest. The staffs are nice and friendly as well.Good place for a cozy vacation within reasonably cheap price.

There are some foods and drinks in the fridge and free coffee and hot water system for instant food but no stove or pan for cooking. It could be provided

On the pricier side for no breakfast provided, but the facilities and design of the place are really lovely - and there is a well-equiped communal kitchen with a great selection of free teas and coffees. And the location is incredible, 100m from the train/bus station and a super short walk into town. And yoga mats! (and space to do it). We really enjoyed our stay here, it felt like a treat.

Not a lot...

Huge wonderful rooms with a balcony to the green mountains. We loved the elevator and parking centrally located in town. Free coffee/tea in the quiet patio with green surroundings. Self easy check in.

We are against animal hunting, and the place is full with skulls everywhere you look. I guess this is the culture but this is not a pleasant atmosphere for guests that dont want to see deer heads around.

Nice property right near the train station, which makes it a great home base to explore the area. The room and building were clean, quiet, and spacious, with fun/eclectic decor.

No AC in the rooms, which may not usually be an issue, but we were there during a very hot week in July. I called the front desk and the owner promptly brought us a fan, which made it comfortable.

Great location next to the train station and the staff were always so helpful. There is cleaning service available too which we did not expect. We had a bath tub and a shower which was also a nice surprise.

The communal kitchen seems to be cleaned only semi-regularly and some guests don't clean after themselves straight away. Otherwise, everything was good.
