Good hotel located in front of the lake. Rooms have lake views, breakfast is good and varied, and also offers some parking slots.

The bathroom was visible from the room, offering the possibility to cover it with a curtain. I think that when giving such kind of rooms staff should consult and inform guests, as not all customers may like this or need that kind of bathroom when travelling in family or a group of friends.

the hotel is located in the city center, on the lake bank. the connection with the main station is easy - good for travelers without cars. Stuff is helpful and friendly, the cuisine is traditional and delicious. Breakfast is classical continental. rooms are big clean and comfortable with large windows (blackout curtains).

in hot summer the air conditioner is missing. however, this facility is not key.

Hotel in the center of town. Large room facing the lake. Sufficient storage in closets with safe available. Good size bathroom with excellent shower facilities. Good breakfast buffet. Parking available for a reduced rate of EUR 15.- in the nearby public parking garage. Friendly and helpful staff.

A complementary bottle of water would have been a big plus, but otherwise no issues.

The view from the room was amazing! Breakfast was rich and good, the staff were helpful and friendly, and the location is just perfect.

The fact that the double bed is actually two single mattresses so there is a big gap in the middle.

You couldn't get more central, right opposite the Rathaus and next to the lake. A lovely walk along the esplanade to Schloss Ort. Breakfast had a good continental choice, and although not pre-arranged I had my evening meal in the restaurant which was very good, with a large choice. The tram stop to the main railway station is right outside the front door, which was very convenient.

Lovely room with fantastic views of the lake. Excellent restaurant with friendly staff and beautiful views. unbeatable location in the charming town with easy access to transport links and walks, as well as boat trips.

This is a beautiful hotel in a perfect location. All hotel staff were professional and extremely helpful. The room was gorgeous with a balcony and views over the lake. The evening meal was simply superb and breakfast delicious and plentiful. We wanted to stay for an additional night but we couldn't as the entire hotel was booked. I'm not surprised - it is a wonderful place. We will be back!

Breakfast is included and it was a very nice selection. I was very surprised that it was buffet style in our current Covid pandemic. I also liked that people wore masks in until they sat at their table. You couldn't have a more beautiful location that on the Traunsee. I've stayed at Seehotel Schwan 4 times and every time I'm pleased with my stay. :)

The plaza on which this hotel sits can get a bit noisy. I was very jet lagged and went to bed at 9:00 and the noise from the diners below was fairly loud, but I ultimately went to sleep.

Old but charming building right in the middle of Gmunden and near the splendid lake Traunsee. Nice restaurant and very good breakfast. People running this hotel ar really devoted to their guests.

I reserved a “superior double room with lake view”, but I discovered that under this label you can get rooms with very different level of confort. I expressed my dissatisfaction and the staff (quite professional and diligent) kindly offer me another room.

Huge comfortable room with fabulous views.

The hotel is fabulous right on the lake. Our balcony looked our onto the most gorgeous view. The room was huge, clean and comfortable. Breakfast has everything you could want. We also had dinner as we didn't find another place open. It was tasty but a bit expensive. All on all a great place to stay.
