The hotel was unexpectedly great - the staff was exceptionally friendly, the rooms are beautiful, the whole atmosphere is lovely. We had a room with balcony and what impressed me is the bathroom was huge and the retro bathtub was a very pleasant touch. The staff was very helpful at every step, the breakfast was lovely, and in general the place is a really impressive experience.

The spa is maybe a tad small for the hotel capacity so in the afternoon, it gets too full.

The Staff. Absolutley amazing, could not be nicer. Location - stunning. Comfort 10+

Dinner. Unfortunately a real let down. Expensive and not up to standard for the prices and expectations. 12 euro for soup means the soup needs to be out of this world. It was not. Small portions of main course was terrible. We drove 5 minutes up the road and found a beautiful restaurant that served a choice of steaks, fish etc with nice sides and fair prices. Its really not difficult.

Breathtaking! This hotel located up on a hilly road where you can see the whole town, Mittersill. The hotel basically an almost 1000 yr old castle where you really feel like a queen and king. Every details inside the room and common areas are so interesting, you also can find many hidden places with lot of history. Plus they offer a guide around the castle. The breakfast rich and tasty, the stuff very kind (they helped us the find and book a table at one of the local restaurant in Mittersill). For sure, one day we will come back again!

One word - A-MA-ZING!!! Everything was great. Even if we just stayed for one night after long trip from Croatia to Mitterssil Schloss through Grossglockner high alpine road. Hotel left impression too. Thank you again for soft bed: we slept like on clouds. Thank you for very nice welcome treats and greeting card we found on our room.

We wanted to stay longer, but our the vacation ended and had to head back to home. Thank you. We hope that we'll could visit you next time again.

I can truly recommend this hotel to everyone. A great outdoor swimming pool with nice leasure/chill area. You can enjoy sauna and good cousine (especially wines and cheeses are brilliant). I do appreciate hotel´s warm hospitality. Simply awesome!

It would be useful if hotel staff provide us more information about history of hotel (which is spectacular btw) and more informations about options in spa (ie. massages). Would be nice if someone could provide us service in SPA (is. drinks and some finger food). During breakfast in indoor part of the restaurant were flies over the food. That can be easily eliminated;)

Floor heating in the bathroom did not work for 2 days ( out of 4 ) Strange reaction/problem solving from staff The heated pool turned out to be not so heated or at least for our taste ( reception said its around 32C - all other guests from the pool were complaining that the water is too cold….

A beautiful setting. The staff were all extremely polite, friendly and welcoming. The bed was remarkably comfortable. The water was instantly hot and in abundance. The food was of high quality and sufficient portions. A small but ample fitness room.

The heated pool in the Spa was a little small but sufficient.

The Schloss building itself was breathtaking and the few rooms that retain their authenticity were beautiful. Our room was modern and comfortable and the breakfast exceptional. We chose to eat in the inner dining area as it was housed in one of the original rooms which added to the charm of our stay.

Unfortunately the Schloss has been converted into resort style accommodation which did not suit us as we were looking for a genuine castle experience. The food and service in the restaurant did not match the standard of the accommodation which was disappointing.

Wonderful castle like from a fairy tale! But full of comfortable and modern facilities inside. I stay already second time in this hotel and you feel there like in another life, in a good way! Takes you away from real world and everyday problems. Will definitely come again!
