I was very impressive of this hotel. It is in in calm and nice moutain and castle view location. The hotel is not too large but well organized and clean everywhere. In the room, we could get everything for free: fruits, Tee, coffee, 2 bottles of water in a fridge and a jug of water. Breakfast was 15€ per person and made me enjoy eating. The receptionist was nice and helpful. This hotel is 10 mins away from Eisriesenwelt the most famous landmark in this area. The free parking lot is in front of the hotel. Finally, Wi-Fi is powerful with no password. I will come again!!!

We recently stayed at Burkblick and had a wonderful experience. The location of the hotel is truly stunning, with breathtaking views of the nearby mountains, village, and castle. The breakfast options were also top-notch, with a great selection of fresh and tasty foods, including plenty of fresh fruit. The hotel room was very modern, yet still in keeping with the local style, and we appreciated how clean and comfortable everything was. The bed was especially cozy and made for a great night's sleep. Finally, we have to say that the staff at the hotel were truly exceptional. They were very welcoming and friendly, and made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable stay in the area.

The location is stunning, with views across the valley to Hohenwerfen Castle, Werfen itself, and beyond. Staff were very friendly and smiley. The welcome drink on arrival - and seated on the terrace, seeing the view for the first time - was much appreciated. The breakfast was plentiful and tasty, with a choice of eggs cooked to order. Our room (number 3) had a small terrace where you could sit out and drink in the view. The hotel was happy for you to take drinks (the draft beer was lovely) to your room if you preferred. Plentiful parking!

The place can't be faulted!

Kaspar, the owner, was very friendly and helpful. The hotel has been recently renovated and is very comfortable with every convenience we could want. Werfen has two main attractions (if you don't count the Sound of Music trail): the Eisriesenwelt ice caves and the Hohenwerfen fortress. We were just down the road from the first and looked out the window at the second - definitely worth the extra few Euros for the castle view room! Plenty of free parking. Breakfast was excellent!

Nothing we didn't like. Unsurprisingly for a small town, the staff's English wasn't great, but we got by fine. A car is a must since it's a bit outside of town. The modern finishes (hard floors) tend to amplify sounds from outside the room, but the hotel's policies mean it's a very peaceful place to stay.

Breakfast was simple but great, we were very happy with it. The hotel also had a calm, easy atmosphere, and the room was modern and cozy. Fridge in the room is a big plus. The view from the hotel to the castle is breathtaking.

The room door wasn't sound proof at all, you could hear all the noises from the hallways. However, it didn't really bother us since all the guests were pretty quiet and considerate while walking in the hallways.

We booked here for two main reasons …. Firstly the view ( ….. which is spectacular to say the least!) and secondly it was Adults only as we didn’t want noisy children running around everywhere. The Hotel lived up to and in fact exceeded our expectations. The proprietor and his staff were so friendly, kind and professional …. they couldn’t have been more helpful.

My husband found the shower cubicle was about 6” too small in all directions and the shower head didn’t work properly.

Top location and top view. The hotel it’s surrounded with nice Alps. We are 100% happy, that have chosen this hotel for our vacation. We have visited 2 ski resorts: west Dachsteimn and Obertauern during our stay. The way takes about 40 minutes and the whole way you can enjoy the fantastic view. The hotel is modernly renovated. You can see, that the owner’s invested his soul and money to maintain it.

For our purpose, a visit to the ice cave and then back on the road, it was excellent. It has its own parking and was really uncomplicated to get back to the highway. From what I gathered it is a family legacy hotel, but a new and modern one and with everything you’d need. We did not have time to also visit the castle, but you can see it from the balcony 24/7, so the view is gorgeous. Owner was very nice and breakfast was good. Really a lot of thought and effort so that you get best value for money, which I’m sure it’s through hard work and dedication. Also a plus you get breakfast from 6AM in a lovely downstairs restaurant. The essentials, plus fruit, plus good coffee.

There’s nothing I can think of for the duration of our stay. Sure, you may hear some doors or a shower but it is isolated well from the highway. Most guests come for a nap, so while sound proofing could be better, it was really not an issue.

What a lovely hotel! This is one of the best hotels we have ever been in. Such a lovely place, lovely location and the view? Breathtaking. The room is so comfy and warm, we were looking on a moutain just from the bed. The bathroom was amazing, big shower, everything in nice, warm light. We were really thinking about buying the bed from the room we stayed in, soooo comfy, just like at home! There was also nespresso machine, water, fridge (with bottles of water for us). And in the morning, the breakfast was also amazing, fresh bread, eggs, a lot of fruits and good coffee.. We stayed unfortunately only one night, last night on our vacation - but it was definitely the best decision! Can't wait to come back!

The View. The View. The View. We were greeted by a friendly host that offered us a drink while checking in which started our stay really nicely. We then went to the room where we were greeted by the most epic view I've ever had from a hotel window. The hotel is basically at castle height and offers a view that simply put looks surreal. The bed was super comfortable and the room itself was tastefully and most importantly newly renovated. The breakfast was buffet-style and was great. It was higher-end than the regular breakfast you see elsewhere (had fresh figs and little chocolates for example) All in all, I 110% recommend this place, and you can be assured this is not my last visit in this hotel.

I had to dig my brain to find something that could be better... and honestly it's not even that bad since it's not really important. Here it goes: This might only be the case for the room we had, but the bathroom door was kind of clunky. It didn't really offer a great privacy as it was basically 2 sliding glass doors closing at a 90 degree angle.
