A very good hotel indeed, with a small outdoor swimming pool and a very nice restaurant with lots of tables in the open air. Very good and plentiful breakfast. Comfortable room with everything necessary including a kettle, safe and plenty of pillows. Staff helpful. Not a town to stay in for long but for a one or two night stopover if you are driving it is ideal. Right next to the Darcis Chocolate factory/museum/shop which is a bonus as their cakes, macaroons and chocolates are excellent and the museum very interesting.

It's a little bit out of the centre of the town. Not a criticism, just a fact to note if you dont like walking.

The jacuzzi met our expectations and we made full use of it. First it was the kids turn and I wish it would fill up quicker, but still they enjoyed even the filling up process. THe playground with real fine sand resembling a beach bar was a pleasant surprise. Breakfast was good and the coffee was excellent.

Jacuzzi turned on made a lot of noise and with the kids sleeping in the room, we didn't use it as we'd hoped. We ordered room service for dinner and must say that I wasn't much impressed with the quality of the dishes (I had Salmon and husband had steak. Pasta Bolo for kids). The quantity was huuuuge, so I would've rather had less of better qaulity. One last thing, after some time being turned on, the air conditioner was dripping condensed water. We had to turn it off or otherwise the entire carpet would be soaked.

Hotel Verviers Van Der Valk met all our expectations. We were a group of four people - all senior citizens in our 70's so we wanted convenient on-site parking, and on site restaurant for dinner and breakfast, comfortable rooms and wi-fi connections. The breakfast was excellent. Thank you.

The only thing that we didn't like was that the bar was very noisy indeed when we were there for a pre-dinner drink. When we went to the restaurant it was very much better and we could enjoy our meal.

The food was very good, both dinner in the restaurant and the buffet breakfast. The new year's eve dinner was excellent and the buffet breakfast on new year's day exceptional. The room was comfortable, quiet and clean. Staff were very friendly. The dog was made welcome and joined us in the restaurant.

The hotel is on the edge of town next to a shopping centre and looks over buildings towards the motorway, so the surroundings are not the best, although it is a short drive to beautiful countryside and access is easy.

Quite what the town of Verviers has done to deserve such a superb hotel I do not know. The conversion of an old railway building was very stylish, the room was quiet, large and comfortable and well-equipped, and the bed very comfortable. Excellent breakfast and a good evening meal in the restaurant.

The neighbourhood, and indeed the whole town of Verviers, seemed sadly down-at-heel.

The hotel staff was very pleasant, the beds were comfortable and the room was nicely equipped. The sauna and pool were great and the summer terasse was a real treat.

The hamman seemed to be out of service with no staff on site to provide support and our room had a repeated compressor sound that was quite annoying.

The room is very nice, clean and big. I really liked that it is equipped with a perfect desk which is very convenient for work. Also, the bathroom is really big and has both a shower and a bathtub.

The location of the hotel is a little bit far from the train station of Verviers.

Very comfortable and well appointed room. Excellent food and great staff. I would highly recommend this hotel.

The only comment would be that I had to search high and low to figure out how to turn off the main room lights. The switch was behind the desk! Some instructions, or actually linking the room lights to the switches by the bed/doors would be really helpful.

Our room was fabulous! (The personal sauna and bubble bath was the show stopper for us.) Also extremely comfortable beds. We got the best nights sleep we have had in years! The breakfast buffet was good quality and the food we ordered at the restaurant was delicious.

I wish the bubble bath would not take so terribly long to fill up.

All in all an excellent hotel with good value for money.

Only the breakfast´s presentation leaves to be desired. Displaying the cold cuts and cheeses in metal boxes with plastic lids on top isn´t very appealing.
