Jenny at reception was very helpful! We booked this place traveling on a budget, I thought it was fair for the price. The rooms had the essentials, nothing fancy. The beds were not great but okay. The water was warm and there was a mini fridge. I noticed only some rooms had a microwave.

Service can be slow at times and the pool is a popular place for visitors (non-hotel guests), lots of kids, though we were there around the holidays. I was informed they often host large parties, so sometimes the restaurant and pool are unavailable during these private events. This was the case on the night of our arrival and we had planned to eat dinner there. I was a little frustrated that we had not been given a heads up, but the manager helped us out and we were able to get a taxi in to town for a meal. There was music blasting loudly until around 12pm though. If you stay it might be worth asking if an event is happening?

Large, spacious room with air conditioning and a fridge. The draperies covered the windows very well and blocked the light allowing darkness if that is what you prefer. There was a small patio outside the door with a hammock and a chair. At night the nearby forest noises-- birds and dreamy nighttime nature noises under the full moon was magical. Once inside, you do not hear those noises any longer. The cabins were well spaced apart with gardens and grass separating. The multi-level pool was refreshing and allowed for people to enjoy different levels apart from other guests.

The breakfast was very delicious, yet we thought a bit pricey--however I cannot say how to compare because we didn't get a chance to go into town ever for a breakfast so maybe the prices are comparable.

The location was perfect. We were 5 minutes from Cahol Pech, 30 minutes from Xunantunich and 40 minutes from the Guatemala border. I loved the grounds. It felt and looked like a resort. It was absolutely beautiful with all the greenery. I loved that it was individual units separated by large spaces of grass between the different cabins. I never not once heard my neighbors or saw them unless I was in common spaces like the pool. The staff was exceptional. They were quick to answer any and all questions and concerns. The individual cabins were huge. The food and drinks were delicious.

There was no jacuzzi The food took extra time to be prepared. The roads on the facility were not paved. It would have been nice to hear music with dinner

This proximity made visiting this historical site incredibly convenient and added value to my stay. Friendly Staff: The staff at The Log Cab-Inn were welcoming and eager to assist, contributing to a pleasant overall experience. Scenic Surroundings: The natural beauty and lush greenery surrounding the property created a peaceful and picturesque environment, allowing for a serene escape from the usual hustle and bustle. Proactive Problem Resolution: I appreciated how the management promptly addressed the A/C problem during our stay and allowed us to switch to a different cabin. This showed their commitment to guest comfort and satisfaction. Value for Money: Considering the unique accommodations, great service, and overall experience, I found The Log Cab-Inn to be a good value for the price.

Initial A/C Problem: While the A/C issue was resolved satisfactorily, it would have been preferable not to encounter it in the first place. Improved maintenance and quality control could prevent such inconveniences for future guests.

Great place!. I am a solo traveller, quiet, clean and very nice staff.. The property is beautiful, right on the edge of town which is great because there is a club that blares music until 4am(i stayed at another hotel is how i know) nice dining area/lounge. The cabin has a great porch!. Coffee and fridge in room!! I wake up early so need the coffee maker in room! I have hip arthritis so i like to add information for this-i was able to sleep the whole night and had no pain the next day!! It is on a slight hill but no stairs! a sloping path instead was easy. Bonus fireflies at night, a kitty and doggie.

We preordered breakfast for excursions the following mornings. Very convenient and on time. Staff was EXTREMELY helpful. We were very late returning from Tikal one evening and they went out of their way to help us get dinner in town.

First, the property met our expectations. One night a larger group was in a nearby room having quite the party. They settled down by 11:00 so not a really big issue. I'm confident the staff would have helped us address the issue had it continued.

The grounds were lovely and the staff friendly. The pool was a great place to relax after a long day of sight seeing. A very relaxing atmosphere. I would certainly stay here again!

The location is just outside of San Ignacio and so you need a cab to get to and from town to explore. There were a few nights where it was difficult to get food from the hotel restaurant since they were accommodating large travel groups, in which case it would have been nice to have been closer to other restaurants.

The restaurant staff was extremely slow. We waited 45 minutes for a meal and then when the meal came, it was the wrong order. And we had to wait another half hour for the correct meal to arrive.

Friendly and responsive staff. Beautiful location. Clean rooms. Wish we'd had more time because the rain stopped just as we departed.

It rained the entire time so we never got to really enjoy the outside amenities like the pool area. The A/C unit pointed directly at the bed and with the high humidity, it was either too cold or too hot which made for a rough night's sleep.

The property was beautiful and definitely curated a vacation vibe. The pool was lovely and the restaurant was reasonably priced and the food was very good.

There were critters in the ceiling of our room and it was a little annoying when trying to go to sleep. But it did also was amusing. The wifi could have been better but if I really needed a steady connection I would just go to the lobby.
