Fabulous property very close to Plitvice Lakes which was our reason for visiting the area. The property itself is very attractive and the pool area is lovely although the water in the pool was pretty chilly. The staff were all very helpful. There is no restaurant or food served but you can buy coffee at the reception area. There is a restaurant immediately opposite the hotel and lots of other eateries in the local area.

Both the fridge and safe in the room were not working which wasn't a big issue as we were only staying a couple of nights. There are also no tea/coffee making facilities in the room which I think most people would expect as standard these days especially when there is no restaurant.

1. Location: - If you go by FlixBus, it really stops at the Mukinje station (the last stop), which is 500m away from the hotel, so basically you can just walk there. But be really careful cuz there‘s no sidewalks along the main road. - The hotel is closer to entrance 2, but by walking it took 35 mins and there is no Uber to call. However, the staff could drive you there for 10€. 2. The staff at the reception is very nice and reachable on the phone. We arrived much earlier than the check-in time and she let us use the room right away. She‘s also nice to my parents who don’t really speak fluent English. 3. The room is the best throughout our trip. It‘s all wooden. The design, the lighting and everything are amazing. Bathroom is perfect, clean and comfortable. Stable hot water and provides 2-in-1.

The staf were friendly, attentive and kind to talk too. You can see they put a lot of hard work into their business and keep improving there buildings. Ethno house is in nice a property with several buildings, therefore there are not too many rooms in our building. The area around the buildings is nicely decorated, with many spots to sit. Around the pool there are sunbeds and in the evening there's enough led lightning to enjoy warm evenings outside. Wireless outside was okay, inside, the reception was very good. Breakfast was a buffet like in many hotels, with fresh fruit, yoghurt, grains, bread, meats, cheese, jams and even delicious pies. Super worth it. They also offer refreshments from their (reception) bar. The room and bathroom were clean and had all the room we needed. Especially the mattresses on our bed were super!! (With memory foam). I woke up without any back pain and was very comfy all night. Across the street there's a bistro where you can have a nice dinner. The prices are good. Tip: go early, when we were there was a waiting queue when we left. Tips for improvement: - maybe Ethno house can offer something small to eat as well in the evenings, certainly after a long day at Plitvice lakes you don't want to go to the bistro. And there is plenty of room on the grounds to enjoy dinner there. - Maybe get a car charging option

Loved everything! So clean and neat inside and outside around the grounds. The pool was a welcome relief in the heat during our August trip to Plitvice National Park, we could even have a lemon beer poolside! The rooms were fabulously decorated, comfy beds, smart interior with clean lines. The breakfast was plentiful and varied. Do yourselves a favour and stay for at least 2 nights you will not be disappointed. The hosts were brilliant and spoke excellent English which was 100% better than our non-existent Croatian! They even organised taxi’s transfer to the Park and to the bus stops. Thank you ladies. Antonio’s restaurant opposite was fantastic for local cuisine, well priced, super friendly staff and not far to walk!

Great location, perfectly situated for access to the lakes and national park. Warm welcome on arrival, even though we were later than anticipated in getting there. Lovely pool and play area which the children really enjoyed. Breakfast was delicious and good value. What our kids said (aged 10 and 6): “I loved this place because the breakfast buffet was cute and nice, and the rooms were nice too”…”I loved seeing the waterfalls while we stayed here”.

Nothing - all good! What our child said (aged 10): “The only thing was we could hear the person using the shower in the next room!”

The grounds were beautiful and well cared for. The room was very clean, comfortable beds and the woodworking was exceptional. The owner who greeted us was very helpful with recommendations for visiting the national Park very welcoming and lovely. I would highly recommend anyone to stay here.

The only thing that was bad about our experience was that we had to leave. We would’ve loved to have spent another day and enjoyed the clean, beautiful pool and surrounding area.

We arrived much earlier than the check-in time in order to get to the Plitvice lake early, and were allowed to leave our car at the parking for free. The Ethno house complex is a nice and cozy accommodation made mostly of wood and decorated tastefully. Everything worked just fine for us and the room was very comfortable. Sadly, we couldn't relax at the pool as there was a thunderstorm outside. Also I expected that we will be able to have dinner in the hotel restaurant mentioned in the description, but it serves only breakfasts, which is no problem as there is a nice restaurant just across the road. Pro Tip: Have cash with you to pay for the hotel! They will mention it in the letter when you finish booking, but it you are like me, you will forget about it :) We had to look for an ATM near the Plitvice lakes entrance to pay for our stay.

Lovely ethno house with all simple amentities you would need. Nice bathroom. Pool area was nice and clean. Little swings were a great addition for young children.

Breakfast wasn't great so we only ate once then got our own cereal from a nearby shop. Quite small rooms and air con only one room- not where main bedroom was. All felt very simple- maybe they could sell a fee things like wine/beer for more of a feel/atmosphere on an evening.

Great location close to plitvice lakes. Staff were pleasant and helpful in accommodating my daughters allergies. Pool looked lovely but we were a full day in park so didnt use it. Staff provided my daughter with extra pillows. Spotlessly clean room and facilities with a lovely alpine feel. Would probably stay again if in area. Breakfast was good -pastries were lovely.

Daughters wardrobe door was broken but not really a problem to her. Enquired about use of sauna to g bag evadvised it was €20 per hour which seemed excessive.

The room was large and very clean. We appreciated having the refrigerator and two comfortable chairs. The separate room with a single bed and sofa worked well for opening our luggage without having to unpack since we were only there for two days. While it was too cool to use the pool, we did enjoy sitting out by the pool as ther are nice chairs and it is nicely landscaped.

We had a room right above reception and the kitchen. We were awoken both days very early when staff started preparing for breakfast. A simple solution is to make sure you don't get a room immediatley above the breakfast area.
