the sobrados are wonderful as they carry the weight of the centuries inside their historic stones. unfortunately the family room did not match the charm of the lobby,entrance as a whole, restaurant and living room. Outstanding as its architectural features.

Although proper bed and linen and pillows galore if asked, the family room is bare in furniture, decoration wise, a contrast with the charm of the lobby with wooden ceilings and stonewalls. Not hard to throw in a reading lamp for the kids in their small area, a carpet or even a mirror…

The colonial style. It is not luxurious but it did have its charm. It had an excellent bed, excellent linen. Bathroom was good. Pretty good breakfast. Remember this hotel is small and more like a boutique style. True to the local culture.

Nothing really, but the street was noisier than an average street. It did get quieter after certain hours, so it was acceptable.

It was a great little hotel. the breakfast was good, the room was clean and large enough for two of us comfortably. the internet worked well and the staff gave us recommendations to eat and for a tour.

The bedroom was a little dated but had a mini fridge which is nice. we would have eaten dinner there but it didnt start til 7 and we like to eat earlier.

Excellent location close to the centre. Could walk everywhere from here although the streets of Ouro Preto are extremely steep and roads are pebbly so not so easy to stroll around. But that's the charm of the place. Driving around the centre is quite a challenge with all the hills and winding roads. Hotel has lots of character and well kept. Excellent breakfast

no significant downsides. Rooms are quite small but adequate

It was a really lovely stay. We enjoyed it very much and it was so great to have parking for the car. The staff were very helpful and lovely with us.

It was a bit noisy at times on the street in the early morning and late at night

Unique building. Very nice and helpful stuff. Breakfast was perfect.

We don't recommend to order excursions and taxi via hotel reception. It's very expensive! If you haven't a car try to use Blablacar app.

Location, staff, breakfast, quiet air conditioning, spacious shower, architecture and decor.

You can hear the other guests leaving their rooms in the morning.

Help by the manger to get a sick family member to the UPA

Service in the restaurant - inexperienced waiter who needs proper training - not his fault but he is keen and needs to be supported

Staff was corteous, knowledgeable and friendly and made us feel like family.

Room could have a bit more furniture to make it more comfortable.
