I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Ritz Copacabana, and I can confidently say it was an outstanding experience. The hotel is impeccably clean, with spacious and well-maintained rooms. The rooftop is a particular highlight, offering a fantastic pool and stunning views of Copacabana Beach. The staff is exceptional, from the housekeeping team to the front desk personnel. A special mention goes to Victor, whose professionalism and excellent command of English made a significant difference in our stay. He was not only helpful and attentive but also went out of his way to ensure we had everything we needed for a comfortable visit. Overall, the Ritz Copacabana exceeded my expectations in every way. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for luxury, excellent service, and a memorable stay in Rio.

I got a corner room on the 13th floor and it was quite pleasant. The furniture is brand new, the WiFi works well, the view from the corner window was nice. The bathroom is small and part of it (the washbasin) is in the room. But that was not a problem for me. The breakfast is good and the view from the restaurant is quite nice. The rooftop pool is quite small - but that’s normal given the the size of the building. The hotel is in a perpendicular street with respect to the beach - good location with a bike sharing station right outside and a large supermarket 5 minutes away on feet. Staff was very nice and helpful.

The room soundproofing could be a bit better. Also, the windows open much more than one would expect given the high floor.

The bartender / waiter at the bar/restaurant hardly knew how to make cocktails. We also had dinner there and it was a disaster - we waited a lot to order and to get our food (I even got a false dish). He was also very unfriendly. The shower is also absurd - it sprinkles water everywhere and taking a shower is a challenge. Our friends also got a much smaller room than ours even though I booked the same two rooms from my account.

breakfast had many options and was complimentary. the views from the breakfast room were great so all guests were at some point able to enjoy the views of sugarloaf and Copacabana. The location was excellent - near lots of restaurants and cafes and of course, the beach! The room was super clean, and cleaned and restocked well each day during our stay. The staff were excellent - (great English- while not required of them, we appreciated it) they made great recommendations and were very friendly and helpful throughout the stay.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Ritz Copacabana Hotel, and I can’t recommend it enough! The location is really good, the facilities are excellent, and the entire staff goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome. I would especially like to highlight Victor from the reception—he was exceptional! From the moment I arrived, he greeted me with a warm smile and provided outstanding service throughout my stay.

Confortable bed and good breakfast with a view!

There was a man at the reception who was awful to us - we only dealt with him at the check out but he was very rude and didn't take care of my bags left at the reception. The rest of the staff was very helpful and very kind to us. Also the shower isn't great - there is only the rainfall option no shower head which isn't adapted if you don't want to wet your hair or shower your feet only etc...

Great location one block away from the craziness of Copacabana. Very friendly staff at reception (Leticia, thank you!) and in the restaurant (Mesias and colleagues). Clean, comfy.

It is a bit odd not to have a real bathroom. Sink is in the room, toilet and shower are separate but not fully closed off. Coffee in the room is not complimentary, nor is water (not even one bottle), which is a bit unusual (feels like the next step would be to charge in addition for the sugar that you use…)

Location. Location. Location. Very short walk to the beach and only a 20 minute walk to the lagoon and Ipanema. Views at the pool and breakfast were amazing. Rooms were comfortable and clean.

The shower! The rain shower was barely working and only roughly 3 jets of water came out of it, was more like a sprinkler than a shower. You have to pay for everything (cappucino at breakfast, towels for the beach, etc).

Excellent location, helpful staff, good breakfast. We had room on 3rd floor with balcony with fabulous view.

The bed was comfortable but is due to be replaced as sinks in when sat on. Our room was cleaned each day as in bed made but they did not clean the sink or around it or wash the glasses. When I moved everything from the sink and put the glasses in the sink then it got done

We really enjoyed our stay! The room was nice: bed very comfy and it had a fridge and a coffee machine. The staff was superb, very friendly and always helpful with some recommendations, calling a cab etc. The hotel also organized a tour to a football game, which was incredible. The location is very close to Copacabana beach, and we never felt unsafe in the area. No problem walking around at night (reasonable hours, until 11:30). There's lots of kiosks, supermarkets, restaurants and cafes in walking distance.

I personally don't like bathroom doors made of glass...
