The breakfast and the location are marvellous. The staff go out of their way to assist one, and the restaurant food is superb. The addition of a fridge for guests to use is a great help.

We unfortunately chose the wrong time to visit, as the funfair was there and it was also a week of festivities to celebrate a famous Bulgarian who lived in Oryahovo. We actually enjoyed the funfair and all the stalls, and the performances on the stage on the square, but what we did not like was the terrible noise that often went on all night from functions at various venues nearby with music blaring out until five or even six o'clock next morning making it almost impossible to sleep! In my opinion this town needs the same sort of anti noise rules that other towns in Bulgaria have established, where no loud noise is permitted from 2 to 4 pm, or after 10 pm, and we found it is quite strictly enforced in those towns.

The staff go out of their way to assist with luggage and are extremely helpful, nothing is too much trouble for them. They are just fantastic people! The location is right next to the main square in the centre of the little town, close to all shops and other restaurants, banks, and the weekly market is held right behind the property. The restaurant is open from 08:00 until quite late in the evenings and serves superb food at good prices. The daily breakfast is outstanding. There is a lovely viewpoint just above the property, and from there one can see the Danube way below and over into Romania on the opposite side of the river. The room is a very good size and has adequate cupboard and work space, and the shared lounge and bathroom are also large and well equipped. The Wi-Fi is excellent, and the TV has adequate channels. There is a good sized fridge in the lounge area for guests to use.

This place is an absolute gem, the sort of place you want to keep exclusively to yourself so it does not get overrun with other guests and therefore impossible to get a booking when you want to return, as they only have two rooms available. The location is just off the main square. The breakfasts are fabulous! The staff are wonderful and were such a great help to us. The shared bathroom had a lovely bath in it that was most welcome. The rooms are very spacious. They also offer excellent denne menu meals at lunchtime in their restaurant during the working week. The aircon is very welcome in this heat!

It would really help to have even one small mirror in the room, as without one you have to go to the bathroom where the only mirror is located. The very sharp nail sticking out on the window side of the bed frame needs to be removed as it sliced open the back of my left leg and caused it to bleed a lot. It is a bit of a hassle having to share the bathroom with others. The ceiling is very low where one sits to send emails etc and I hit my head hard on it a couple of times! A couple of noisy function nearby at night over the weekend.

The room was extra spacious,beds were comfortable and everything looked very clean. As a bonus we could use a big shared living room. We didn't meet the host in person,but he was helpful on the phone

normally breakfast was included,but it was not served and there was nobody in the building. Not a big deal, but for families with kids could be important

Everything as usual was wonderful, and the new drying rack for our washing made it so much easier than having to string up a clothes line on the balcony. The breakfast is always superb, and so are the other meals at the their restaurant. The staff are always extremely helpful and efficient.

Wonderful owners and staff who helped us a lot. Great location in centre of town close to all facilities. Plenty of space to park. Very good substantial breakfasts.

A small bar fridge would be really appreciated for longer stays to keep milk, butter, cool drinks and food cold in hot weather.

There was enough English and mutual understanding and willingness to communicate that our stay was very pleasant. A very spacious room with air conditioning functioning very well, a good dinner and a good breakfast. Our bicycles could be secured overnight inside the building.

The location is great, the house is right on the main square of Oryahovo. Also, I have seen such a spacious room. It was a huge apartment with a view to the square and two rooms for 5 people in total.

For cyclists around 80 m elevation must me mastered to arrive in the Old house.

Very clean and friendly personal, the pizza in the Restaurant was also very good.
