it was a lovely boutique hotel - had everything I needed. Good large room , comfortable bed and seating area, good hot showers all the day, nice selection at breakfast and an area outside with loungers and small pool. On site restaurant and bar and very helpful staff

Staff very coopertive and nice, they printed our bording passes, organized two roons since description on booking was not correct. Island tours can be organized at the reception, rooms were spacious, wifi was good. Low room (full board) price for Cabo Verde.

15 min walk from hotel to beach, no real outside space, room balkonies very dusty and since hotel located on the outskirts of Santa Maria, location very dusty. Problems with water, although we got water back in reasonable time.

Very nice and comfortable room. The staf very friendly and professional. Use of the beach of Halos hotel was easy, nice beach, you can walk to there. I had half board and I must admit that the food always looked beautiful, although sometimes (for me) it could have been more seasoned.

The light on the balcony is turned on automatically around 7 p.m. to 2 a.m. It cannot be turned off individually. So instead of sleeping with the window open, I had to close it and turn on the air conditioning. Pity...

A great hotel. The rooms were clean and bright. The bed was very comfortable. USB plus made it easy to charge everything. The breakfast and dinners were delicious and a reasonable price to add onto your stay. Staff was really helpful for addressing any issues in a timely fashion and helping to set up activities. They also gave great recommendations for food and things to do. The hotel is walking distance to the beach. Our room overlooked a lot, not nice in itself, but the benefit was we had an unobstructed view of the sunsets!

Only minor issue we had, there was only one regular outlet in the room, which created a challenge for plugging in anything that wasn't a USB.

I had an excellent stay. The staff were super accommodating and helpful. The hotel arranged for my airport pickup, which was ideal as I was traveling alone. I had dinner at the restaurant which exceeded my expectations - the chicken soup and baked fish were delicious. I also has breakfast the next morning, which was buffet style and good too. I walked to the private beach which was only a 15 mins walk from the hotel and enjoyed a few hours by the water before I had to check out.

Minimal instructions given by the reception to get to the beach, so it took me like 40 mins to get there.

The hotel looks new and in very good condition. Very clean. The staff is great, friendly, willing to help and talk, especially at the reception and cleaning workers. The staff speak different languages.. The room was big and beding very comfortable. Hot water , swimingp pool, gym, AC, and TV 👌 Location is 10mn to the center of Santa Maria and 15mn to the beach .

The amenities in the bathroom are minimal. Shampoo in small plastic bags and soap also. Not very environmentally friendly, especially they are imported from Italy. Breakfast was OK, very similar everyday , could be improved a lot.

The hotel is very modern and new and crisply clean. Their beds need special praise – this was the most comfortable sleep during my stay in Cape Verde. Breakfast was also fine. They also have a quite nice restaurant which is very convenient if you arrive to Santa Maria late and have no wish to going for dinner any further. Service at the restaurant and the reception was very friendly and helpful.

I would have evaluated the property the highest points if it was not for a moment of fright when I received a notice that there are some problems with their payment systems and that their customers and their bank cards might be open to the hackers.

It was a great deal overall: just a little further away from the beach (less than 10 min slow walk) but with the same great facilities of its sister hotel, Halos Casa Resort (same room decor, same access to beach loungers, etc.). The hotel was incredibly clean. At the Piri Piri restaurant, pizza and pasta were exceptionally good. Would totally recommend - especially since it’s such a great value for money.

Would have like some more ambience at the restaurants - even just some music! And it would be more sustainable if shampoo and body wash were provided in dispensers instead of single use sachets. Aircon in the room was not really working (only fan mode), so it can get very hot!

Big spacious rooms and bathroom, god space to put suitcases and closet space too, clean and fresh, great outside area with sun beds and a smaller pool, lovely friendly staff!

It’s a bit to walk to the center and the beach. Breakfast could have a bit more options to choose from.

Spotlessly large clean rooms with ensuite facilities and views over the garden. The staff were friendly and super efficient. The hotel was set just away from the action on the high street and 10 minutes walk from the beach.

The swimming pool is the size of a paddling pool - it might have been easier not to bother ! Breakfasts could have been a bit more interesting - the spread was identical for the 6 mornings I was there.
