Beach was stunning and there were lots of hammocks/swings etc to enjoy the view. Room was spacious (for a bungalow) and comfortable with all the expected facilities (fridge, TV etc) and great porch chairs with an ocean view. Can use kayak or paddleboards an hour a day and breakfast is good. Good value for money considering some of the more expensive accommodation on the island. Everything you could want from a beach bungalow!

The location, while beautiful, is a bit isolated. You really need to have a scooter to go anywhere off the beach as it's not close to the main road to visit other restaurants etc. But if you have a scooter it is easy to get around the island, or if you are happy to stay at the resort (it has a decent restaurant and bar).

The beach was the kind that we love. It was calm and the water was clear. The beach was narrow with palm trees hanging over it. There was a rustic jetty that added to the beauty. If you like a wide beach, this is not for you. We also really liked the beach restaurant. The included breakfast was the best we had anywhere in Thailand. We had a few other meals and snacks there as well. There are also other good restaurants and convenience stores a short walk up the road. There are different levels of accommodation, some beachfront and some newer, larger ones behind. We chose a cute older beach cabin with view. It was basic, but we loved it. The view was amazing.

We were first put in a cabin right beside the entryway, office and scooter park. It was loud and central. I asked the manager very nicely if we could move. She did move us to a great location, and I was very happy about that but then watched a poor young couple being moved in there. I felt bad for them. So for others, there are three basic beach cabins between the office and the restaurant. Avoid those.

The staff was excellent and very helpful with all kind of requests. Best service we had in Thailand! The room itself is very bright and looks clean. Bathroom is spacious and with hot water. The rooms are next to Ban Bao Beach at the more beautiful side. The restaurant serves basic but good breakfast and they have good lunch and dinner options.

The airco was not so nice because it breezes straight on the pillows. We decided not to use the airco and therefore it was very warm at night. Contrary to other beaches on Koh Kood, Ban Bao has no beach during the high tide. If you are looking for a hotel/resort where you can lay all day long on the beach which is next door, this is not your best option. But no problem if you rent a scooter like we did.

My wife and I stayed at Siam Beach Resort for three nights. During our stay, we explored the island and also visited other resorts that we were considering booking through Booking.com. After our experience, I can confidently say that Siam Beach Resort is the best deal you can get on the island. The rooms are cozy (and if my wife says it's cozy, then it is!), the whole resort area has a chill atmosphere, and the beach and palm trees right outside your door are magnificent. You wake up essentially on the beach, with plenty of privacy. It's one of the best beaches to swim at, and families love it. Even during the day, when many people from the island come to the beach, it still doesn't feel overcrowded. The staff is super helpful and even lent me an office chair to sit at the table in my room during a meeting. As a digital nomad, I had both AIS and DTAC as backup mobile networks, but AIS worked perfectly, and I didn't need to use DTAC. I even had a Google Meet video call with ten people without interruptions. We rented a scooter here and were very satisfied with its condition, even having a theft alarm. Overall, I highly recommend Siam Beach Resort and will come back.

We picked this room because of the view of the beach. The resort is located on a public beach where residents from other resorts could come in freely. It may not be an option if you consider privacy but to us it feels quite natural to us. The beach seems popular on the island but it's not really busy, so it's very enjoyable to us.

Cafe and bar are on one end of the resort, our bungalow is quite close to the other end, so if we don't want to go to the public toilet, it took us like 5-10 minutes walk back our bungalow. It is enjoyable to walk on the beach at other time though. Food could be greatly improved. It charged like Bangkok restaurant price but quality doesn't meet the standard, nevertheless, the bar sells wonderful homemade ice cream. The lock provided is a bit strange, we still have no clue how it works. We would bring our own lock next time.

Amazing beach, sea, lovely and professional staff, super-clean and spacious new bungalow perfect for a family. One of the perfect vacation we had as a family in many years. Breakfast is good in a lovely restaurant/bar where the choice of lunch/dinner menu is wide enough to spend a week without ordering the same twice. Prices are also very reasonable for the location - actually cheaper than in Bangkok. We will definitely recommend and possibly get back!

Nothing. All was perfect. Only minor note the pier might need some fixing here and there to bring it up to the quality of the resort.

About everything! The personnel is extremely sweet and friendly, we had room b5 which was amazing. Clean, simple but elegant design, seating area, great bathroom with nice shampoo. Our kids had an upgrade to a beachfront bungalow, very sweet, which was older with less space, but still beautiful. The rooms featured very handy taps on the side to clean your feet before stepping on your balcony. This beach is the most beautiful one we've seen on this island. Ko kut is widespread, nothing is close-by, no matter where you stay, so renting a scooter is necessary and is 300 baht per day. Breakfast is buffet style and quite good with many options and outstanding jam/jelly. My daughter suffered an accident for which we had to go to the hospital, after hours, and the hotel took care of everything, arranged and paid for the taxi that waited for us until we got out again, again extremely friendly. They offer Thai massage onsite, very convenient, 300 b per hour, good therapists. Lastly: the pets are sweet, cat Kae Dam came to stay in our room for a while, really cute. Would definitely stay again!

The food ordered in the restaurant was not great, a little bland, but the service was great. Bed was too hard, but with an extra topper it was fine.

Authentic Thai style paradise on Bang Bao Beach. the rooms are somewhat basic in style, but offer all of the amenities you need including a comfortable bed, strong AC, bathroom with good water pressure and a refrigerator. Each room has a small porch. the beach itself is steps away and truly a paradise. White sand, arching palm trees with hammocks, a long wooden pier to jump from or snorkel off, and a fantastic Thai style restaurant and beach bar. The staff were super friendly, the food was delicious and very authentic Thai, and the drinks in the bar and atmosphere were wonderful. The majority of the guests were Thai and they all seemed to be having fun there.

No complaints at all. When our reservation was over we had to leave, but went back three days later when there was a new opening. It was a hard place to leave.

Although this resort has comfortable, modern cabins, a lovely quiet beach with great swimming, and a good restaurant, it has not met its full potential. With more oversight from management the grounds could be much more attractive. We saw a good number of staff for groundswork, but they were often sitting about when there was garbage to be collected, raking of the beach areas in front of our cabin, and general upkeep. This would make such a difference. The restaurant, bar and reception staff were friendly, efficient, and worked long hours without complaint. During our week we did not eat elsewhere as we found there was good variety and quality of food nicely presented. As the resort is in a secluded area one needs to travel a distance for another restaurant. This is a very good beach resort for families with young children.

As mentioned above the grounds could be much better cared for. The stone walkway is not attractive or user-friendly. The steps up to the porches of the cabins were treacherous and could be stabilized and railings added. There was a building which we passed daily which looked abandoned with a pile of junk beside it which needed attention.
