Room was very clean and quiet. Bed very comfortable. Bathroom stocked with products by Rocky Mountain Soap company. Very nice! The parking spot for Handicapped persons was right at the door of the room. Very convenient!

One necessary important item that would make a stay for a mobility challenged person (knees, hips) much more comfortable is a toilet with a few more inches of seat height. Returning to a standing position is extremely difficult or even impossible with the low seated toilet.

The location of the Lodge was excellent and the staff were very friendly. Our room was comfortable and quiet. There was a lovely restaurant on site which we did not use. We went for an evening walk along the lakefront and were very surprised at the many beautiful gardens beside the lake - there were also many beautiful flower boxes along the whole main street. After our lake walk, we stumbled upon a great pub with a view across the lake, which had a friendly, laid-back atmosphere and staff - the Leland Hotel.

It was easy to find, great location, rooms were clean, tidy, spacious, coffee, tea, hair products etc. very convenient for someone who may have forgotten some toiletries of their own.

Staff member at the front desk did not greet us right away, she saw us waiting picked up the phone and had an entire conversation before greeting us. Usually guests in front of you get priority over the phone, a phone call can be a quick hello & place on hold.

We travelled to Nakusp for our granddaughter's graduation. The location was excellent with easy access to commercial outlets, very attractive landscaping and a well designed restaurant, lounge and outdoor patio. An added bonus was that it was in the immediate vicinity of the lovely waterfront park where grad family photos were taken. The room was exceptionally clean and staff friendly and efficient. We would stay again.

We spent a pleasant couple of nights at The Lodge. It couldn't be more central, as far as the small (and gorgeous) village of Nakusp is concerned. Renovations have given it a smart and modern look. The rooms (ours, at least) were compact, but clean and well-appointed. There's not much sound insulation from adjacent rooms, but on the other hand, no-one's throwing wild parties. The restaurant/bar are very good, with homemade chicken-and-vegetable soup that's almost a meal in itself, and a good beef dip. A further bonus is the in-house liquor store, open to 11 p.m. and comparably-priced to the government outlet nearby. Parking is ample and free.

No complaints. It's not a luxury lodge, but it's a solid three-star option with useful services/retail onsite, and Nakusp is a jewel of interior BC.

Nakusp is a small town and the hotel is towards one end of the main street so much is accessible by walking and that is certainly a plus. On the other hand the name implies a position closer to the lake than is actually the case. It is not so much a Lodge as a conventional motel which is on the whole reasonable value for the price charged. I did, however, enjoy my stay and would recommend it to anyone.

Besides it being a great location. The staff from the first get-go were wonderful. Just friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. Actually interested and happy to have you there as a customer. That doesn’t happen and every place we stayed at. We had dinner at their restaurant and it was absolutely delicious again just like last year‘s dinner! Professional knowledgeable servers and delicious food. What more could you ask for.?

I think the only thing we didn’t like about the property was the bed could’ve been more comfortable.

Helpful and friendly reception staff. A good sized room and very clean throughout. Comfortable bed. Excellent WiFi. Great location for an easy walk to the centre of town and the lakeside. Great on-site restaurant and friendly staff. We would highly recommend and would like to stay again.

No fridge in the room.

Good location in the centre of the village, near the lake. Restaurant/bar was convenient and we enjoyed the food. We slept well. Efficient check in.

Very small room, no fridge. There wasn't any outdoor seating or hotel lounge. The restaurant does not serve breakfast.

Staff were excellent. Location and Free Parking cannot be beaten. The Lodge is huge - I think 94 rooms. At Online booking room was listed as last 1. At arrival we saw it had no frig and was quite spartan. We enquired about availability of a room with a frig and were immediately upgraded, no charge. Tks Cassandra. New room spacious with frig, larger (King) Bed, desk and 1 wooden chair 🪑. Spotless. The Tavern was ideal for Dinners. Great Staff, Menus and amazing prices on excellent meals. There is no Elevator and half the number of rooms must be upstairs. Advise of any mobility issues. Property is very attractive.

A Microwave and Electric Kettle for our longer stay, would have been ideal. Everything was minimal. An extra chair also, as there were 2 of us. They advised they had major Staffing shortages and Housekeeping was prioritised attending to Room changeovers for incoming Guests. We understand. We know Hospitality Industry struggling all over CANADA with Staffing shortages.
