Location! Location! Location! Property was well kept, friendly staff and lots of parking. It seems they were working on upgrades of the property too.
The room was a bit on the small side for a family of four (but no complaints, the value was good for the room we got :-) When we booked we informed about the pet policy, but we were not aware until we arrived that pets are not allowed to stay in the hotel room, again for us not a problem, but should be considered when booking as most restaurants will not allow dogs in.

Great place to stay, served our exploring needs well as it's a 2.5km drive to botanical beach and botnay bay and walking distance to the pub for food and drinks. The refrigerator came in very handy for storing breakfast and snacks as most things dont open until 11. If arriving late be sure to email them ahead of time to know where to find your room information when you get on site, as theres no cell service in this town. When the power went out the generator ran things seamlessly.
We were on the 1st floor and if we had anything laying on the floor it would be damp in the morning.

Very quiet and beautiful location. Very clean and spacious rooms. Comfortable beds, kitchen area with cups dishes and cutlery. The town itself is quiet and beautiful mostly all facilities were walking distance. I dearly hope Port Renfrew stays this way ! I would definitely stay here again and reccomend.
It was very hot when we were there and there was no air conditioning in the room. We were fortunate to have a room at the back of the building not the best view but cool enough with the window open. Check in for all facilities was in one building "guest services" which was difficult to figure out where to check in. Staff was a bit short with us when we arrived early but it was a very hot day and I felt she was overwhelmed. We did wait for 2 hours to check in but not hard to do considering the beautiful surroundings.

Very clean with comfortable beds and accommodating staff. Quiet times were greatly appreciated. The location was convenient to see the big trees, the Botanical Beach Trail Loop and China Beach. Wild Renfrew also provided a local guide's contact info who we connected with for a tour up to Big Lonely Doug and the big Cedars.
A microwave would have helped for the room as we could not get the one with the kitchenette. Vegetarian options are limited so next time we know to get food packed in advance.

Lovely location within a short drive of all the amazing beaches, good size room. Good shower, reliable and strong wifi.
Few good eating options in the area, particularly mid week when lots of places are closed. Very noisy fridge, but a warning that it should not be turned off otherwise it will flood the floor. (I did find a way to shut it off and NOT flood the floor... it would have been impossible to sleep with it on.)

The check in process was a gong show. We were told that our room was ready but we couldn't get our key because the clerk could not communicate with the housekeeping staff. Partly due to a poor internet connection and partly due to a bad system. Very badly organized.

Very friendly staff, nice walking paths, easy walking distance to the dock, pub and cafe. rooms was equipped with convertible shelf/desk and my pup was welcome! bonus - there was a mama dog and her 8 pups romping around the lower field!
I would only suggest offering dog bowls and a garbage somewhere outside for poo bags for pet guests

This was my first stop on a week long road trip on Vancouver Island. I was given an upgrade, and I was very happy with the room. It felt new. Handy kitchen area with a microwave (but no hob). Easy keyless check in/out. Renfrew Pub just a five minute walk for food & drink.
Drawbacks: No mobile signal Unreliable Wi-Fi Very thin ceiling/flooring above me - my neighbours were noisy and had a dog, making it difficult to relax let sling sleep until they calmed down.

The property is in a great location for sightseeing (Avatar Grove, Fairy Lake, Sombrio Beach). The pub is a good basic choice for food. The room was comfortable.
Even though this is a non-smoking place, people are allowed to smoke and it comes wafting into the room since you need to keep the windows open since there’s no air conditioning. They need to have a designated smoking area away from the rooms.

Comfy beds & pillows, separate entrances, deep (but narrow) bathtub and good water pressure. Easy walk to the Renfrew hotel for dinner. Fridge and coffee provided.
For this price I would expect a kitchenette or at least a breakfast provided. There was a kettle & coffee-maker and a table but no chairs. It would be nice to be able to sit at a desk rather than on a bed. The only cable channel available was HGTV, and when guest services promised to come and investigate, they never showed.
