The building was on the main street so restaurants, info centre, museum, grocery stores and other stores were walking distance (within 2 mins). The room itself was very large. The first bedroom at the front was spacious, had a TV, two bedside tables, two chairs and a small table. The view from the window was the main street which was not noisy at all. You walk through to a fully stocked kitchen with dining table and three chairs. Next on the right was the bathroom with toilet, small shower and sink. At the back was another bedroom with a double bed, two bedside tables, TV and a chair. Both bedrooms had outside+ doors and windows. There were doors that could be closed between the two bedrooms and kitchen. The rooms were clean and had lots of pillows and towels.

You had to either phone or go to the home of the owners to check in. The home was only a two minute drive, but still. The toilet is for kids. It is so so low. It was difficult to get up from once seated. It was quite noisy because it is 100 years old house with original flooring. The guests were good in that they were quiet after 10 or 11 at night.

Everything was fine buf the best bit was being on the second floor and being able to use the sitting room and lounge area. Thus was great for us as the hotel wasn't full and the rooms are a bit if a tight squeeze. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Rooms a bit tight. This is an old timber building. It creajs, the floors aren't straight, the doors and windows don't close perfectly. Tons of character .

Historical building. Spacious. Good bed and sanitair. Feels like back in the old days. Love this place.

Maybe the rumor of the opening and closing door of the restaurant downstairs (and music) or the guests upstairs: but it’s an historic building, so you know upfront, we didn’t care and…. It’s all forgiven because of this nice place to stay 👍

Lovely, quirky historic hotel. Room was clean tidy and comfortable. Tea/coffee/fridge and microwave available in shared area just outside our room. Location was perfect for our needs. Renovated to a degree retaining old world character. Would definitely stop again.

Any limitations were due to age and fabric of the building and not due to neglect of host.

We had a two bedroom with a small kitchen and small bathroom. The rooms were clean.

There was no staff on site. We called a number when we got there and it took about 5 minutes for someone to show up. The bedroom facing the street was very comfortable. The second bedroom which was behind the kitchen and bathroom had a comfortable bed, but the floor was slanted a little - meaning your head seemed to be lower than your feet.

Perfect location in the historic downtown with great views—quick walking distance to restaurants, shops and visitor center! Owner was very friendly and we appreciated the 2pm check in time after a long day on the road.

Shower was too small, and the decor a bit dated, but everything was very clean and tidy!

The hotel is very charming. The rooms very comfortable very clean the view was amazing!

The town of Stewart is in the process of dying do not believe the apps that tell you there are places to eat! Only one restaurant open from 4-8 pm - and it’s for sake!! and a small trailer for lunch of sausage or a hamburger. It’s too bad it’s a pretty location.

If you enjoy historic buildings, you will love this place. Stairs are steep and narrow, the floors old boards and not level. Very authentic. Our room was spacious with a great view of the town and mountains. Had a kitchen and small private bath. The next floor up (we were on 2) had a large cozy lounge area with several couches and desks and such. We were here off season, so town was not busy at all. One pizza place next door, and a nice Cafe (1 building down) for breakfast and lunch. The mint & welcome card on the bed was a sweet touch.

Water took a long time to warm up (old building!). Could have used more pillows on the bed.

Convenient location, quaint, quiet, and clean! Nicely decorated common room with fridge and coffee/tea available

We didn’t mind all the stairs up to the bedroom, but someone with mobility issues might have some difficulty!

It's comfortable, renovated inside the old exterior, has a nice common room and a shared kitchen with free coffee & tea. I think I saw a book exchange, too.

It's a little bit of a hassle having to call the manager to come over from his other building when you arrive. Stewart is small, though, and it only takes a few minutes.
