Quite simply....this is the best! You will not be able to do better than a stay here. Comfortable, exquisitely clean, the owner (Donna) is beyond helpful and a wonderful cook! We had three nights here and wish we could go back right now. The views are breathtaking, and the location is perfect for all the hiking trails in the Gros Morne area of Newfoundland. Communication with The Rooms was perfect. The is the place you really must book.

The Rooms at Woody Point are fabulous! The property is everything travellers would want. We found the rooms extremely clean, outfitted with all amenities that anyone would need set in a quiet, beautiful location. The location is central to the village and multiple hiking trails. Angus is a friendly, welcoming host and very knowledgeable about the area. Pizza on the porch after a long day of travel was the best way to kick off our week in Gros Morne.

Our stay at the Rooms at Woody Point was really laid back. Our room was #5 and was very clean. It has a well stocked kitchenette. The rain shower was great and they have in-floor heating in the shower room! The view from our king room was stunning of the Gros Morne National park, Tableland Mountains and Bonne Bay. Such a magnificent view! The king bed was very comfortable with the best pillows. You can order breakfast the night before and Helen or Donna will bring it to your room the night before, so you can have it in the morning. You’ll have a choice of 5. The Pizza on the Porch is more than just pizza. It is a gastronomy of flavours from different cultures. There’s a 4 course meal that starts off with a local appetizer, we had the shredded Rabbit confit, ginger carrot soup, salad with herbs from her garden and of course pizza. We had the Giovanni and my favourite the French Shore pizza. We finish with a chocolate pudding. Oh so good!! Great big shout out to Helen for making everything clean and comfortable and to our incredible owner/chef and host, Donna! If you’re ever in the area and need a place to stay we highly recommend the Rooms at Woody Point! Not only for the room and view but the food as well!

Owners extremely accommodating!! Rooms were very clean and had all amenities required, excellent selection of tv services, dinner at the hotel was absolutely amazing with home cooked meals prepared by our foodie hosts. Our meal was served on their covered deck overlooking the bay with some great classic music in the background. Location was great, very quiet and within the vicinity of many activities.

I liked everything!!

The Rooms at Woody Point is in a great location for getting to the local sights, restaurants, and convenience stores. Woody Point is a small community so there are few restaurants. I recommend taking advantage of the breakfast provided by The Rooms - it's convenient and there are several good breakfast choices. Our room was very comfortable - good bed, comfortable chairs in the room and on the porch, nice kitchenette. The room was super clean. Bedding and towels of good quality and great attention to the details that make it nice for travelers. We had a wonderful view of Bonne Bay which made the room extra nice. Donna was a pleasure to meet and helped us with any questions we had.

Would be nice to have some privacy on the front porch, but not sure it's possible to add this without limiting the gorgeous view.

Most comfortable bed of our trip! The view from the deck was beautiful and we enjoyed sitting and watching the ocean late into the night. We traveled with our young toddler and Donna was able to provide us with a pack-and-play for him to sleep in so we didn’t need to bring our own. I recommend the in-room breakfast; it was a great way to ease into the day! Overall the space is very well set up with everything you might need to enjoy some down time while being close to great hiking and a short walk to Woody Point’s shops and restaurants.

Having a separate bedroom would have been better for our family since our son goes to bed a few hours before us. However we made this work by sitting out on the deck at night while he was sleeping in the room and we were still awake.

Spacious, comfortable room with enough kitchen facilities to be able to eat in if required. Nice seating by the large windows to enjoy the spectacular view, and outside seating to better enjoy the view. Also, Donna, our host was fabulous. She allowed us to use her laundry facilities, and fed us a delicious five course dinner featuring her own pizza creations on her outside covered eating area.

The location was excellent. We could easily walk to the restaurant, shops and water. The unit had everything you needed including a very comfortable bed, sitting area, eating area as well as an outdoor porch with beautiful views! It was decorated with attention to detail. The owner, Donna, was so nice and so helpful with her recommendations. The women who helped her was also so friendly and helpful. I would live to come back to the area and will definitely stay here again! It was a perfect 10!

There was nothing I didn’t like. Everything was wonderful.

it was easy to find, lovely views, very clean, very well set up (everything you could think of was provided in the kitchen and bathroom), bed was very comfortable, sitting area both inside and outside the room were great, lots of space to set toiletries, the toilet and sink were separate from the rest of the bathroom which was very convenient, tv was easy to work and provided a library of books and pamphlets that she was happy for you help yourself and take if wanted. Donna, owner, was fabulous, very pleasant and made you feel very welcomed. wish we could have stayed another night!

There wasn’t anything I didn’t like about it.

We were pleasantly surprised by the lovely room with attention to detail - very clean with a most comfortable arrangement and view. Donna is a terrific host who ensures that guests are well cared for - from the Nespresso and coffee in the room, excellent dinner available, and a purchased breakfast delivered to your room the evening before that will not disappoint.
