Mama's by the Sea is a unique bed & breakfast in that Kim, the owner and host, is so welcoming and engaging. Guests are made to feel as though they have moved in and are like family. The breakfast was good. Better still was the lobster boil that Kim offers guests. She obtains the lobsters, you bring the side dishes you want, and at the end of a long day touring the area, Kim cooks them up and serves the freshest lobster you can ever hope for. It is an extra cost, but we found it reasonable. What a treat!

Guests should be aware that the bathroom is shared; not en suite. It was no problem for us, and there are only two guest rooms, so it's not likely to be an issue for anybody.

Kim is an amazing host. Very friendly and welcoming. Her house is at the end of a road, with the smell of the sea and the colors of sunset. Room is spacious enough, and bed is very comfortable. Bathroom is shared in the house but it was very clean and with all that you could need. Breakfast was abundant and delicious, with eggs, bread, jam, coffee, juice and tea. Kim suggested us a delicious restaurant and also gave us a coupon for 15% off. We had a very pleasant stay, and absolutely enjoyed this little corner of quaint Nova Scotia.

A shared bathroom can be an issue for someone. We usually prefer en-suite but had no problem at all for one night.

Had a great stay at Mama's By The Sea- nice to know you can still find fantastic accommodation at a reasonable price. The room was clean and comfortable and we loved the deck outside - great place to sit with a glass of wine and enjoy the view. The bathroom was shared, but that was never an issue. Good breakfast in the morning and best of all was the host, Kim. Warm and friendly, she made us feel like we were staying with family. And she has a cute dog! We really enjoyed our stay and hope we can return before too long.

1. Host - Kim and Zoe were wonderful hosts and took good care of us. We felt very welcomed. We were a late arrival and they patiently waited for us. 2. Clean - Kim's home was spotless 3. Quiet - after a busy day of travel, it was nice to settle into a comfortable bed in quiet surroundings Breakfast was nice, as were the departure hugs and warm banana bread. If I am lucky enough to return to the area, this is where I'll stay.

Kim did a great job of breakfast - cooked to order! From the beginning she welcomed us into her home and treated us well during our three night stay. Her home is spotlessly clean and decorated warmly in familiar “country style”. The B&B location is good for exploring the surrounding area. We appreciated Kim’s sense of humour and easy going, yet professional manner. Kim’s little dog Zoe steals your heart. We loved our stay!

Breakfast was home cooked, plain and simple just the way I like it - Kim made everything perfect, totally by accident!

I am not a fan of shared bathrooms, but for one night it was fine especially since it was only one other room occupied. Given the location, this was a perfect choice and way more than I expected!

comfortable, clean, nicely decorated. room was good size comfortable bed , nice bathroom. watched a movie in the living room one evening, enjoyed a Lobster Boil one evening. Kim was pleasant , open and accommodating. Zoee was precious! The local store was within walking distance, beaches were fairly close, Barrington Passage not far drive for restaurants

A little remote, but you could walk to the towns local store and boardwalk.

Kim was very kind to us and we had a great conversation. It's a nice little house by the sea and just a few steps walk to the shore. There are a couple of small restaurants in town nearby. Breakfast made by Kim was also top notch! Overall, a great experience in Southwest Nova Scotia!

The breakfast was excellent: scrambled eggs with lobster, sliced tomatoes, and would have included toast with homemade preserves but I'm following keto so declined the offer. Plenty of excellent fresh perked coffee. The room was beautiful with an exceptionally comfortable bed. The shared bathroom with large shower had a great supply of towels and facecloths. The common areas of kitchen and living room were very well appointed and beautiful. The deck overlooks the ocean. The whole home is immaculate and Kim, the hostess, is warm and welcoming, very personable and I am definitely returning next year. I highly recommend Mama's by the Sea.

There is absolutely nothing that I could imagine could be any better, more comfortable, more warm and welcoming. It's a lovely home, very quiet, supremely comfortable.

Kim was a super host, it was like staying with family. The house is great and a stone's throw from the sea. Kim recommended the restaurant in town that gave a 15 % discount, bonus !

Only downside, was that it is shared bathroom, which wasn't an issue as we were only ones staying.
