No use of fabric softeners was a pleasant surprise. With hard flooring, non-feather pillows, no fabric softeners or other scents, and high cleanliness standards, the Hebridean deserves a hypoallergenic rating. Our room was basic, but clean and fresh with comfortable beds and a lovely blue and white color scheme. The staff accommodated us with an early check-in so that we could change our clothes for an early afternoon event. The location is excellent.

Our only disappointment was the coffee machine which uses only the provided coffee pods. We had hoped to be able to make a pot of coffee with coffee we brought with us.

We were running late for checkin and basically had to pick between getting dinner in inverness or checking in on time, thankfully the staff made it possible for us to arrive way after hours so we could get a (lovely btw) dinner instead of rushing to the Motel. The room was spacious and clean, the bed was comfortable and there was a desk if one was to work here too.

The combined heater/ac unit was a bit loud - but managable by cranking it up a bit, then turning it off for the night. While the location is great when it comes to being close to both the cabbot trail (Car) and celtic trail (bikes), there's nothing really around for dinner or breakfast.

We were only stopping by on route to Halifax and this motel was far better than the previous chain hotel we stayed at. It was clean; both the property and utensils inside the unit. Property is older but you can see TLC. It is brightly coloured facade; you won’t miss it while driving. Its also a good walking distance to a beach boardwalk. Staff was also great and welcoming.

Nothing much that would change the impression.

The property is very clean and it is apparent great pride is taken in it. We are a family of four and enjoyed the grassy area to throw around a football with the kids and also explored the nearby beach. The owner Charlie, couldn’t be nicer.

It was great. Perhaps a ceiling light in the room would be nice.

I loved everything about this property. The owner, the colours of the building are so sharp, the rooms are great, clean, quiet and comfy. Great restaurant in front of the hotel and the water on the other side with a beautiful beach. Thanks so much also for accommodating my mistake on the booking. That shows the true Cape Breton hospitality.

Cute and quiet little motel near the water. Ask for a water view. Drive-up to room. Check-in was at owners house next door-efficient and friendly. Room was clean and although modest, had everything we needed. I love this "old-fashioned" motel....so welcoming. We sat outside-some chairs provided-and enjoyed the view. Bistro/cafe just across the lawn where we enjoyed scallops and a beer.

Was granted an Early check in, and was very happy after traveling since 4am that day. Walked across the grass to The Clove Hitch Bistro next door, enjoyed our Lunch and then returned for our late supper there it was so good! Walked about 1 km down the road and across the street to Provincial Park Beach. it was low tide and we walked the sand bars and took some gorgeous pictures. And the sun set was beautiful across the harbor inlet! Defiantly recommend!

Host Joe was welcoming and helpful. Motel beds were quite comfortable, room was clean and fresh. Our staff in low season was quiet.

We enjoyed our stay. Minor things: we found the TV programming tricky to figure out and it was a little tight backing up without risking driving on the beautiful grass. Overall, a lovely little motel.

Fully equipped kitchen. Most of the staff were friendly and recommended some good sightseeing spots. Bedroom was separate from the living area. AC was provided in both rooms.

Sofa bed could have been more comfortable. Advertisement said sea view but our rooms weren't directly facing the sea. Would be good to remove this feature since it's inaccurate. One of the female staff I spoke to on the phone wasn't accommodating.

The room was very spacious, well maintained and had a beautiful view of the bay. Desk clerk was very friendly. Would definitely stay there again and will be recommending.

Neighbors were very loud- not the motels fault
