They are located in a very convenient area, but Truro is small, so nothing is really that far time wise. The room was dark enough for us (we're a bit light sensitive) for sleeping. Plus I love the smell of the sheets on the bed. It was like candy that reminds you of your childhood. There was a problem with a charge to the credit card, but the pretty young lady in the office was very helpful and quick to fix it. Despite things I didn't like, I found it to be worth the money, and I would stay there again.

The name & pictures of the motel lead you to think that you will be staying in The Stonehouse. You will not, but you will be in a regular, very old motel. The old stone house is just for them to store things in for them to run the business. There was noise coming from Julia's Lounge (Bar) late Friday night which was more disturbing to my wife than for me, but Saturday night it was quiet. Request a room much further in if you are sensitive. We were just across from the Bar.

the staff was very friendly and went out of their way to accommodate me, this in itself made all the difference. I want to thank them as to a job well done. Restaurant / takeout place there was very reasonable priced

. Its a 3 star Motel however I think in all my travels (and I have travelled a lot, everywhere) there should be a coffee maker and coffee in each room. Laundry room was out of order but staff had an alternate solution for this next door.

The place was quiet. I would go back again. I didn't get to meet any staff as I stayed in. I love the fact that we were 2hrs early from a long travel and the room that we booked was not ready n we were offered another room.

Well, I can't say I dislike anything as I did not stay long.

A comfortable and relatively inexpensive stay with very helpful staff, who gave a warm welcome at the late hour of our arrival. The room was clean and well-maintained.

The ability to prepare or re-heat food was very limited and there is no breakfast provided, so this ought to be attended to. The property is run down and needs a re-vamp.

We just needed a last night stay to reorganize before heading to the airport at the end of our vacation. The room was spacious enough for us to repack, and parking right outside the door. There was an apartment size fridge and wet bar area. We got extra towels on request. There were wall hooks for towels or jackets.

No breakfast provided, no coffee to be had anywhere- not even in office. All the staff were very nice nice and helpful especially the bartender.

We were in room 34. The two bedspreads were litterly falling apart and shredding- many times got fingers stuck in the shredded parts. The blankets were also all raggedy on the ends. had trouble getting in door on first day and the very nice maintenance man had to actually climb through the window and I held his legs so he could open door. This maintenance man was so cheerful- what a lovely man- they are lucky to have him!!!

the location and size of room the cleaners were very friendly and helpful. No worries about bedbugs any time we stayed over the years. t

the dirt in front of the rooms- needed to be swept. Large potholes in parking lot. Place really needs updating, electrical problems in room, power would go out. too many things plugged in one area.

Easy checkin, helpful staff. Wifi good bed comfy. Handy downtown location. Clerk brought me an electric kettle on request. Need my 5am tea fix!

Cold water tap in bathtub didn’t work until I got out screwdriver and vice grips! (Lots of hot h2o tho) Never did get TV working, gave up.

Our flight was delayed coming into Halifax,so we arrived late ,after 1AM. There was someone there to let us into our room and she was very friendly and helpful.

The room was clean, the beds comfortable and the shower was great. After long flights, it is good to have a place where you can have a good rest. The Stonehouse is such a place.

Great air conditioning and helpful staff. I liked that there was a restaurant and live entertainment one night. I was grateful for the fridge and microwave too. So close to things I wanted to see so a great central location.

I would have liked a brighter light for when the blinds were closed but it was fine. I love lots of light so it may just be me.
