Hotel was very comfortable and had a very friendly atmosphere. The rooms were spacious enough for our one night stay, and very clean. We were new to the area but the hotel is located in a very quiet area which was very nice. We would definitely go back again if the opportunity arises. Great value for the money.

Just a couple of small details in the actual hotel rooms we had. There was no chair to sit on. Even a straightback chair would have been nice. There is no closet so to have a couple of hooks in the actual room to hang clothes would have helped. The only hook was in the bathroom. One last thing was the a/c. I appreciate it is expensive, but even to have a fan in the rooms without a/c would be nice in the summer to keep the air circulating.

I love that the building and the area has a unique history. I love that the hotel continues to be used as a hotel (with upgraded plumbing and electrical) while keeping it's original charm. The owner is very friendly. Her conversation about the hotel shows her appreciation of the Balmoral's significance in the community and her commitment to maintaining it's usefulness as a commuity meeting place and comfort as a hotel.

There could be more electrical outlets that are strategically located for things like laptops, cellphones, etc.

Bed was excellent, room felt very clean, quiet at night though right in town. Building historic and interesting but nicely upgraded. Food at Bistro downstairs was delicious.

Hallway carpeting was really old and dirty ... no doubt will be renovated at some point like the rest ... probably some nice old wood under there! Bathroom door didn't lock/close well. I prefer there to be a separate bar for the fresh towels and towels in use ... with one bar, they end up all getting wet and needing washed even if only a couple are used.

Interesting history of hotel; clean room & comfortable bed; had a restaurant and a bar. (No breakfast though.) Owner was very nice and helpful. Bed was nice - and a king; candies in room, a nice touch!

Room a little small but we were ok with that. Tv was annoying and finally figured it out for the most part, the next morning. A small coffee maker would have been nice. Also, badly needs a few shelves in bathroom to put stuff. (No where to put toiletries.) Maybe other rooms are better for that? Also no closet or hangers. I had a few I brought - my sister did not. The traffic/trucks get a bit noisy early in the a.m; a tad pricey until the rooms are improved upon.

We arrived later than expected to the hotel without having eaten dinner and everything in town was closed. The restaurant/ bar at the hotel is closed for renovations but the hostess was kind enough to pull together some delicious peach/apple crumble with a vanilla bean whipped topping because she “couldn’t let us go to bed hungry”. The hotel needs some TLC but the room was very nice, clean and the bed was comfy.

We wish we knew the restaurant/ bar in the hotel was closed before hand.

I arrived shortly before the kitchen of the restaurant was closing. I was asked if I wanted to order something. Within about 15-20 minutes, I had my dinner, which was yummy. The staff was friendly. The owner has her room within the hotel, and in case of an emergency, you were allowed to knock on her door.

Overall the hotel has it's charm, the owner is very sweet and friendly, very accommodating and very helpful whether you need something for the room or you have some questions outside of hotel subject. The location of the hotel is very convenient being a walking distance away from the heart of this beautiful little town of Berry's Bay. The free WiFi is also very helpful and overall it is a very charming place. I would definitely recommend Balmoral Hotel to anyone looking for a cosy stay in this rustic but very charming place.

Rooms very cosy ,beds very comfortable however they seemed a little bit outdated but nevertheless charming, blinds had many broken pieces and dusty however it was not a huge issue. It would have been more convenient to have few more appliances like some utensils, kettle,toaster or a microwave oven inside the rooms and maybe an additional garbage container apart from the only one in the bathroom. Too bad there wasn't any breakfast available instead of just muffins.

I liked the charming old building and great patio with friendly staff.

Room 14 could use some coat hooks and perhaps a shelf or small chair to put motorcycle clothing and gear on. I ended up stacking everything on the fridge.

When we arrived, the owner welcomed us by name and made us fell welcomed. As the restaurant was closed still due to Covid, the owner provided muffins and tea/coffee every morning. The first morning we were there, as I was having problems with the stairs due to an injury, she brought up a tray of tea and muffins to our room. She also made to go cups of tea for me the 2 mornings we were going out which i thought was a really nice touch. The owner is super nice, kind, knowledgable and helpful. She knows the history of the hotel and of the area. We were blown away with how she made us feel like family and how she made our stay comfortable. We will be booking another stay soon.

Nothing. We were perfectly happy with everything. It was nice to just be able to watch Netflix at the end of the day and kick back and relax.

Food at Bistro was 10 out of 5...Extraordinary! Bed was so comfy, very quiet there Owner told us to knock on her private apartment door after hours if we needed anything...so pleasant and personable....very homey atmosphere....and they were very busy.
