Beds were very comfortable. Easy access to Eagles Nest Lookout and Manitou Mountain Trail, which was great. Lots of parking. Restaurant menu looked good but didn't get to eat there because it was closed on the night we stayed. Strong, reliable wifi. Easy access to the town.
The "breakfast" was really disappointing - no fresh fruit or anything, only toast and bagels and plastic wrapped "egg mcmuffins". Plastic cutlery, throwaway cups and plates - not environmentally friendly at all. Breakfast room way too small for the number of guests - I don't like having to eat in my room! Some staff seemed like they didn't want to be there and weren't helpful at all. Hiking trails poorly marked, and staff didn't even know where they started - could be because of the condo construction on the site...

Large comfortable corner king room (15). Bed comfy. Some windows screened allowing fresh air (mosquitoes). Nice view of ski hill and small lake with aerator. Good restaurant (owned by others'). Lovely local art (for sale) in hallways. Parking outside and away from rooms. Quiet. Tasha, at front desk, is fantastic! And, Tracy, in housekeeping, was accommodating and helpful. We don't service our room on short stays and it was easy to get supplies and replace towels. The kids stayed in one of the resort's 2-bed, 2-bath condo buildings next door.
The whole place has really good bones; however, it's looking tired and not as well maintained as it ought to be. The grounds need attention. The pool is not open. The place appears to be short-staffed.

ring at the base of the ski hill was a lot of fun. the views from our room which had a large balcony was very cool! the hotel restaurant was really fantastic! you could eat on the patio facing the mountain. There was a beach across the street which was lovely as well.
No coffee cups in the room. Hot tub was closed. No information about breakfast. We thought there was one but never received any info. The vibe of the hotel needed some energy. Perhaps joining up with a local to offer some type of activity? Maybe add a pool table or a couple of games somewhere?

Staff was wonderful! We arrived early and after spending the day outside in the heat, we were permitted to enjoy the pool before our room was ready. Hotel was quiet and we had a relaxing stay.
We were looking forward to enjoying the restaurant however it was closed due to staff illness (completely unavoidable!) We would have loved food or beverage options (tuck shop was empty - could have been due to Covid regulations). Room was a little chilly at night. Would have preferred satellite tv options over Roku (which we could not use)

Staff was very efficient and helpful. Cathooks restaurant was very delicious with great service.
The future is coming, you need to install a couple of level 2 electric vehicle charging stations. Your staff was kind enough to allow us to plug into a 120v outlet but that only got us to 20%, we had to drive to Arnprior to top up otherwise we would have been stranded. Believe me it is coming and for a $2000 investment it will be worth it.

We did not have breakfast because the hotel was booked fully and the little room that you have for the continental breakfast was just packed we ate elsewhere
The television was very difficult to navigate took almost half an hour before we got something on it

Room traditional but good and plenty of hot water.
Breakfast disappointing - plastic knives and forks unnecessary and some fresh fruit would have been great. Just bagels and waffles really. Swimming pool closed

Condo 301A was nice , loads of room . It was a little Dusty and not really well cleaned prior to arrrivsl incl inside of fridge . It was obvious it hadn’t maybe been used recently or was it . The pots and pans need replacing for sure and it was hard to heat . We used the provided space heaters in bathroom and bedroom . Overall a really nice place though . We would definitely return again as it is a spacious convenient getaway. Side Note : if you plan to order out from Brown’s pub the pizza is amazing but be prepared to pay for it! We ordered a medium deluxe delivered from a few kilometres away, the pizza was $36.15 and then a $10 delivery , So with any kind of Tip it’s a $50+ medium pizza. Save the leftovers ! lol

Can’t wait to come back when COVID restrictions are lifted and can enjoy all the facilities! Food from restaurant was tasty and reasonably priced, staff was friendly and helpful.
Due to COVID restrictions we weren’t able to use all the facilities- not the hotels fault though

the fact that boat rental was included was amazing. Both my sons found a new outdoor activity that they love. The staff were all amazing and lovely to interact with.
The breakfast was disappointing. We do understand that it's covid, but the muffins were not very good.
