This hotel is in a fantastic location for access to Lake Superior Provincial Park and other beautiful locations along Lake Superior. The hotel manager was extremely kind and helpful, and the room was clean, had plenty of space, comfortable beds, and a big tub. It's also walkable to just about any restaurant or store you need to get to in Wawa without being right on Hwy 17, so it reduces traffic noise.

When the hotel was originally built it likely had a great view of Wawa Lake, which is now mostly blocked by subsequent businesses built across the street. However, it is walkable to Wawa Lake, which has a great little beach.

The staff was so welcoming and friendly - exceptional customer service. Beds were so comfortable! Room was clean and larger then expected! We were traveling with our 2 German Shepherds and they put us in the perfect room at the end of the hall with quick access to outside. The pizza was excellent! Pepperoni was good and LOTS of cheese.

They have a pub and restaurant in the same building and it did get a bit loud at night as the smoking area was outside our window and there was a birthday party going on. We closed the window and it was alot better.

The staff was very freindly. And helpful. The bed was comfortable. The bar and restaurant was very busy while we where there (we didn't get to try either) The location was nice right across from the lake. Everything was clean. Other than the table had something like sand on it but whatever no biggie. love the remote control light in the room! Our room was bugger than I expected. They allowed pets without issue we had our 5LB chihuahua with us. ($20 pet fee).

Our room had some damage inside. IE bathroom tiles were broken and lifted up. Bathroom door handle was broken so we couldn't close it. And internet wouldn't connect at all.

Loved having a bar in the hotel. Very cute room. The owners are lovely and the location is great!

Didn't try the in-room hot tub-- too nervous it would make the room hot and humid. The rooms need some updating, and we had to program the remote for the TV, which was a little weird. Also be aware that, like many hotels, a refrigerator in the room does not mean a freezer as well, which is annoying. I wish more places would realize that if you need a fridge, you need a way to keep stuff cool the next day too. And while the location is excellent and it's a funky place to stay, Wawa in general is quite pricey!

We booked at the last minute and were grateful to get this room. When we arrived we were offered choices to stay in the old building or the new building. We were offered a free upgrade to a larger room. The reception clerk was VERY friendly and helpful. The beds were very comfortable.

The room was a bit dated and the location was good for a stop-over, but not really for a vacation.

Nice room, however on a smaller size. Looks like it was recently updated. Clean and comfortable. Wish there was a small vanity to put the cosmetics on (you have only so much room around the sink). Very quiet. The owner was very pleasant, gave us some suggestions for local food and stores. We liked the location near the lake. Easy access from the road.

Sara in the bar was awesome and the front desk folks were extremely helpful and super friendly! Microwave, mini fridge and coffee maker were great and convenient. Deep bathtub, great shower pressure and lots of hot water were fantastic after 14 hours driving. Would definitely stay here again!

Not the hotels fault, but difficulty finding kitchen staff meant no breakfast options at this time.

It was clean and relaxing, food was available, which was nice because we came in late after a long days drive. The staff was very friendly and helpful and that was great! I thought this hotel has a fun historic “ cowboy” kind of vibe… which we really liked! The whole thing is that it was a unique experience and much more personal than a “ Hilton”

Super friendly staff. Older property, but clean and quiet. The on-site pub is a trip! It’s a gathering spot for locals, must go and have a drink! The super-nice proprietors have free coffee available in the morning, and it’s fresh and tasty.

The on-site restaurant is closed, and I cannot recommend the food in the pub.

The staff are great. The price is very competitive. The restaurant/bar is a place where everyone can join the conversation and feel welcome. It's an older building and exudes a sense of history and charm

Because it's an older building, there are some things that aren't really able to be fixed real easy. Some sound from outside the room does get in sometimes, so bring earplugs or a white noise machine if rogue noises interfere with your sleep.
