Everything was superb. We were greeted by Liese who was extremely friendly, anticipated our questions and gave suggestions on walking the area and on where to eat. The inn is located in an area of beautiful homes set on a hillside overlooking the bay. Flowers abound, the air is clean. The inn is sparkling clean, has inviting sitting areas including a gorgeous sunroom and a room with a fireplace that is lit in the winter. Breakfast is set out in a "serve yourself" style and includes boiled eggs, locally sourced cheeses and pate, muffins made by a local baker. It can be eaten inside or outside on a patio overlooking the bay. Truly, this is an amazing place.

I should have asked for a softer pillow but didn't. I prefer down pillows and found the ones at the inn hard.

Property is on a rise with an AMAZING view of the confluence of the St Laurence and the la Malbaie Rivers. The room was large and the furnishings quaint, the bathroom was very cute and clean and the water pressure was amazing. Breakfasts were ok.

There were a few cobwebs, windows in common areas could use a wash. Only a sheer curtain in the bath.

I did love everything! The place was really beautiful and charming with direct view to St. Lawrence bay. The room was confy and clean, and waking up with such a delicious breakfast had no price ! The owner was very kind and attentive during the whole stay.

Quaint, antique feeling, tranquil, excellent elevated location overlooking the bay. Mme. Lise, the owner, is fluently bilingual, friendly and helpful. Her breakfast is plentiful, with emphasis on local ingredients, various breads and plenty of cereals and fruits, but no hot food is served. The stone terrace with river view made for a very relaxing Happy Hour with other guests. Some great restaurants are nearby. e.g. Le Bistro 245.

Actually the one thing we found kind of amusing were the creaky, slanted floor in our room. However, the gorgeous river view more than made up for it!

we loved everything! it is an amazing , beautiful and unique place to stay, like a dream because of the view to the river and the room, excellent breakfast and service. Bellísimo! I highly recommend the Auberge sur la Côte :)

The location was beautiful. The view of the river was exceptional. Lots of places to gather and enjoy. The owner was very nice. We only wish that it was closer to us so that we could visit more often. A real find!

The hostess was pleasant. The breakfast had a good variety.

The price was higher than expected. The plumbing was slow in the sink and shower. It was old fashioned, no technology or air conditioning. It felt a little run down.

Having breakfast outdoors overlooking the St. Lawrence was an experience to treasure always. The owner and worker were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was simple but very healthy with loads of fresh fruit.

Because it is an older property there was nowhere to put soap, cosmetics, toothbrush, etc. other than the windowsill in the bathroom.

Ambiance and grounds

Too much scent in linens and the use of air freshener units. For folk sensitive to scent the interior environment was intolerable.

Beautiful large home/auberge with a fabulous view over the bay. Very good breakfast in a continental mode with covid restrictions as to touching, and choosing. Lovely terrace and lawn overlooking the Bay and an indoor sunroom. The living room would be wonderful with the fire roaring in winter, but in this season, we did not use it. The location was attractive in that it was in an upscale area on the same level and one kilometre away from the Fairmont Manoir Richelieu which was pleasant to visit and walk their coastal trail. The owner and her staff were excellent, welcoming and helpful, but never intrusive. Very quiet. We had a sliding door to a grassy area, with a couple of chairs . And a refrigerator for snacks and drinks.

Our room was unexceptional, as it had no view and had a tiny bathroom. We didn't understand why so much money was spent on a seldom used jacuzzi when carpets and curtains in our room and the adjacent hallway were dull and shoddy. I gather there were many nicer, probably more expensive rooms . You need a car to access the town as the Gite was up a steep hill and a few km from the town centre. The bed pillows were foam and uncomfortable but the housekeeper searched and found a single softer pillow for me; my partner had to put up with the uncomfortable ones. The lighting for reading was inadequate but we read our ereaders so didn't miss the light. We loved the local movie theatre; first theatre movie we had seen in nearly two years!
