It's very conveniently located, with restaurants around. Actually there is both a restaurant and a pub right next to the hotel. The check-in staff was quite friendly. The restaurant manager, a Chinese woman, was also there to chat! There are granola bars next to the coffee maker. This is the only hotel that have this in recent memory.
It took a little bit longer to check-in with seemingly a lot of paperwork and training a new employee at the same time. Parking on the street was not allowed, or have to move the car before 7am.

The hotel is located slightly off downtown. However, it's walkable distance to restaurants. A block behind the hotel there is a supermarket. The coffee shop inside it offered Kalladie Brothers coffee. It is 1000% better than the hotel coffee. However, the breakfast given by the hotel which was included in the price, was decent. Also, appreciated the laundry facilities. Also appreciated that we can open the hotel window to let the fresh air in. Outdoor noise was minimal on the 10th floor.
The elevators were very, very slow. Ice machines were not conveniently located.

The hotel way more better than before and comfy bed and cleaned room. The location is accessible for everything such as restaurant, Wal-Mart and other thing.
The parking area was a bit difficult. It was not enough parking for the guest. It has hard to find parking area that for vehicle safety. I park my truck behind the building and i was panic the next morning because somebody blocking the area and said the owner of the area ordered to closed and i was startled to towing my truck in a wrong parking.

There was a toaster, full size kettle, microwave, small coffee maker and some snacks supplied which was very nice. The queen size room with 2 beds is very large with a table and 2 comfortable chairs and an other table and chair you could use as a makeup table or computer desk.
We didn’t know there was a additional 3% charge if we used visa at the hotel which wasn’t noted on the booking.com site but the staff did correct it for us. The air conditioner was very loud.

Elite Hotel is in a great location. It is walking distance to almost every tourist attraction in Whitehorse, including the Yukon River, Main Street, the Cultural Centre, the Visitor’s Centre, shopping and restaurants. The rooms are very big so it was very good for our four adult family group. The air conditioning worked really well. The black-out curtains were 90% effective (It’s hard to block out all the midnight sun). We used their laundry facilities which was handy on our four week trip away from home. The staff was very accommodating and helpful. The Elite Hotel is good value. I would definitely stay at the Elite Hotel again when I return to Whitehorse.
It’s next to a local bar which some people may or may not like. However it didn’t disturb us at all.

I really liked how friendly and how accommodating the staff was. They made me feel welcome, and one could not ask for a better hotel for the price, particularly given you can walk to almost anything you need. The hotel is centrally located downtown. I would not hesitate to stay there again!

Our room was great and was located on the top floor with a view. The room was more updated than most of the rooms I've previously stayed in at this hotel. Plenty of space! And love the fridge/coffee/snacks. I frequently stay at the Elite when I'm passing through Whitehorse. The staff at the front desk are fabulous.
The bed in my room this time was way too soft for me.

The staff were very helpful. There were some things missing from the room when we arrived, but as soon as we alerted the staff they brought them in right away. Thanks especially to Carlo and Mark! The room was huge, and the bath and shower were lovely.
It would be nice to have ceramic mugs for coffee rather than paper, and real drinking glasses rather than plastic. Also, there should be towel racks for bath towels.

The location and the staff were the best things about this place. It's very handy for visiting Whitehorse as almost everything in town you will want to see or visit is within a few minutes walk. The staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were very large, the bathroom fixtures fairly new and the beds incredibly comfortable. There's a microwave, fridge and kettle so we were able to keep costs down with a little self catering. There are a couple of restaurants attached (which we did not end up eating at) and a local pub with possibly the cheapest beer in town. A bit of an older place, no food served, but great friendly staff. The bar wasn't as noisy as a couple of the neighbours in the hotel, but I was impressed with how the staff handled this when we told them the next day promising that if we had any more issues they would take care of it instantly - they even checked in with us a day later to make sure everything was still OK. It seems like they're really trying to turn the hotel reputation around based on some of the less complimentary past reviews. The staff alone would make me want to stay there again in the future if I visit Whitehorse again.
The hotel is older and seems to have previously been more of a motel which is the feel you get there. The rooms could do with a bit of fixing up with a decent amount of wear and tear, but we also knew that might be the case for the price we paid and found everything clean enough.

Spacious unit. Centrally located in downtown Whitehorse. Walking distance to attractions, testaurants & groceries. Mini fridge, microwave & coffee maker.
Not the greatest sound proofing. Noise from unit one floor above reverberates down. I would request a 3rd floor room next time. Lighting wasn't great.
