Excellent location outside a subway exit for Beijing Train Station Good soundproofing. My large window faced the inner courtyard and I basically had no traffic noise. The Chinese restaurant is decent when it's not closed for events. Small supermarket one block away (facing train station) for buying fruit.

Chinese restaurant was closed for a conference, and the other restaurant only had Western food. The refrigerator is "room temperature" and cannot be used for refrigerating leftovers. No cover outside when getting into a taxi, so you get wet in the rain. No service people outside to help you get into the right taxi. I had some issues that required maintenance work. Would have been better if that had been done before I arrived. Note that Chinese name is Bao Chen Hotel. People know this in English as Paragon Hotel (versus Howard Johnson Paragon Hotel.) Prices can jump a lot if you decide to extend your stay if they are almost full.

As a foreigner, with limited language, we were stuck at a strange location at 3 am unable to call for a taxi and public transport did not work. We called the hotel if they could pick us up as we were trying for over 2 hours. Luckily the night shift manager, Jack, found a solution for us and picked us up! We are very grateful that he was able to do this!!! I would recommend this place due to the hospitality of the staff.

The location was an easy walk from Beijing Railway Station and subway station. While the building shopping mall is closed for operations, there is a supermarket nearby to stock up on groceries. The rooms were spacious and the beds were comfortable, albeit with cigarette smoke wafting in.

Stayed for 2 nights for work. Excellent location, restaurant on 3rd floor is great. Staff were all very friendly and helpful and the level of English language spoken was good. They helped me with transport and information about the surrounding area. Rooms are decent size, especially for the price, and kept clean. Bed was very comfortable. Gym room had all the basics and was good for what I needed. Very good breakfast spread. I will definitely stay here again.

Some of the gym equipment was old and broken. Wifi was fine but not great. Coffee in the lobby bar was very expensive - more than I'd pay in Hong Kong. Otherwise, though I really can't fault the place.

We stayed here for 5 nights and it was overall very good. The room was spacious with a great city view. The heating worked well, TV was good with a blockbuster movie channel in English, fridge was handy, bottled water & toiletries topped up daily. The location was about 8-10 minutes walk to the station which made it easy to get to most of the attractions and the airport. The receptionist was really helpful in setting up my WeChat, and booking all my tickets for the attractions as it was all in Chinese.

The wifi was weak. The daily cleaning could have been more thorough. My main concern was that the rooms smelt of cigarettes, we changed room and though it was better we still had the same problem. We later realised that in most public areas of Beijing, people were smoking inside. So we learnt that this is simply how it is

Family suite is perfect for my family of 4. Location is central and close to all major places of interest. What made our stay excellent was the exceptional service from housekeeping manager Edward Liu. His service was impeccable and he was very responsive to all our needs. His service and help to us is way above and beyond his call of duty. Thank you very much Mr Liu!

Aircon is not working well and windows had to be opened for better ventilation. Not an issue for us since it was a cool season. Not sure how it might be when it’s hot during summer.

Excellent place . About 60 metres from the subway and central Bank of Beijing. The train station is next road of the hotel. Very close to the center of the city . Very good food at the area around the hotel. The breakfast is excellent with a lot of Chinese various and basic of European food. We are very satisfied from our choice to stay at Paragon Hotel.

The 2 bedroom suite is perfect for a family with 2 kids, we arrived after a long flight from London and were immediately comfortable, the staff were friendly and helped us with taxis to the train station (not the one over the road, we were taking a train from another one) when we left, very good breakfast with lots of options for locals and foreigners. We’re staying here again before we fly back to London

Good professional front desk staff. Comfortable bed. Shower pressure and temperature was good. Laundry was also not overly expensive and was returned the same day. My go-to hotel in Beijing. Close to work office.

Limited drinks in bar and inexperienced bar staff, but they are friendly and tried to meet our needs. So cant fault the staff, just selection. It is minor and not a dealbreaker.
