hotel staff asked for a cap for the swimming pool and this was available only for cost. the explanation that i have been given was that Shanghai authorities request this. I challenge this because I stayed in another similar hotel 2 days before and they did not ask me to wear a cap for swimming. Btw I am bold, no hair at all, so absolutely no reason to put the cap on. Such an excellent hotel should have single use caps, people do not carry swimming caps with them usually.

The room is very spacious, staff are very helpful and courteous. Superb location and very quite.

The staff at the breakfast restaurant wiped all the table dirt straight on the floor, it’s hardly well trained as a five star hotel. Hotel does not hoover the floor unless the guest require to do so. I’ve only find out after seeing big fluff dusts floating in my corridor for three days and wondered how come the house keeper do not see it at all. When I spoke to the reception I was told that guests had to require the service for the room to vacuum cleaned.

Great, stylish hotel with a beautiful courtyard and great facilities (swimming pool, gym, roof terrace). I injured my knee while staying and the hotel staff was super helpful, lending me crutches and helping me in various ways. Thank you so much!

Very nice hotel in the heart of the older part of the city. Very close to many amenities. Excellent gym and great breakfast. They always tried to help me if I had an issue - very accommodating.

Great location, beautiful facility. Very reasonable price, Abby at front desk is very attentive and provided a lot of extra perks.

this hotel is a must-stay for any design enthusiasts visiting shanghai. designed by swiss architect mario botta is a masterpiece of contemporary design. very confortable rooms with modern design embelished by chinese features. great location just opposite walking street and metro station.

Fantastic room and location with the subway being underneath the hotel. The hotel pool and gym were also of a very high standard.

While the breakfast was okay it was not exceptional as the rest of the hotel and our stay was.

1. Modern facilities. Convenient to use and good looking. 2. Spacious bathroom. 3. Delicious breakfast with variety of food.

1. The hairdryer is not powerful enough. It takes a long time to dry long hair. 2. Found a bug on the floor on the day of checking out. 3. Television’s graphic quality is poor
