Very comfortable and well located hotel. We paid extra to upgrade to a bigger room, breakfast and evening food/drinks. It was definitely worth it. The staff were exceptionally helpful. Mr Wang the duty manager made sure we were helped every time, Will spoke excellent English and helped us with transport options and Andy and Kevin helped us with a taxi. We met the sales and marketing manager of the hotel on our way to the subway and she walked us to the station and helped us buy tickets and find the right train! A big thank you to everyone for the great service.

The hotel is a bit old but still very comfortable and great value

Good location. Easy walking distance to most places inside the city wall. 20 min walk to Yongxingfang, busy market place and eateries. Azure Restaurant at the hotel for meals, although you pay a little more but the service and food was very good. Western and Asian choices. Breakfast was very good with lots of variety. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed having a pre dinner, drink in the bar. They have cocktails, beers, top shelf etc. Most of the staff speak a little English but it’s a good idea to have a translating app of some sort. We felt very safe walking around at night.

We stayed in a Prestige Suite on the 10th floor, and while the room itself was very nice and well-appointed, the air conditioning in the first room was virtually non-existent. After raising the issue, we were moved to another room where the air conditioning was slightly better, though still not up to the expected standard. Despite this, the staff at the executive lounge truly elevated our experience. They went out of their way to make us feel welcome and thoughtfully organized a special birthday treat for my partner, which was a lovely and much-appreciated gesture. Their exceptional service really helped offset some of the room's shortcomings.

Best hotel we stayed in for our China trip. We stayed in three locations Shanghai, Xi'an and Beijing and this hotel was by far the best which was down to the staff who were so welcoming, friendly and helpful. Andy went out of his way to provide us with assistance, even walked us round to the chemist for my mosquito bites. I loved the robot, I was in awe. The location was perfect and I wish I had spent more time there than other places. It's definitely on my list to go back and without a doubt I would stay at this hotel again. Value for money is an understatement compared to the other 5* hotels in the other cities we stayed, especially with the Club access for free snacks and happy hour cocktails.

The only small negative is that we were not on a no smoking floor.

We had requested an extra-bed for our kid, which has been offered free of charge, and it was ready at our late arrival which was appreciated. The room was spacious. To be noted that the hotel is not new. Breakfast is good. Location of the hotel is central and convenient. Nice swimming pool.

The shower gel was empty after the first night, and has not been refilled during our stay even though we have requested it at the reception the next morning, to allow them to refill when cleaning the room. Same for the cottons. When we asked for it at night time again at the reception, they told us that it was not available. Finally someone brought us what we needed after half an hour. Service can be improved.

My recent stay at the Sofitel Xi’an On Renmin Square was truly exceptional. It was my first time bringing my parents to Xi’an, and our stay of 4 nights and 5 days was memorable and comfortable. We chose the Junior Suite with a king bed, and the room exceeded our expectations. It was spacious and well-appointed, featuring several essential items like a coffee machine and multiple water bottles. The bathroom was luxurious, with both a shower and a bath, and the convenience of having two toilets was greatly appreciated. Breakfast on the first floor was a delightful experience. The buffet included a variety of local foods with great flavors and a selection of international dishes. The highlight of our stay was the afternoon tea offered to guests in the Junior Suite. From 3:30 to 5 pm, we enjoyed a selection of teas, coffees, snacks, and amazing cakes. Evenings at the hotel were just as delightful. Starting at 5:30 pm, there were delicious food and drink offerings, including cocktails, martinis, wine, and beers. The spread featured sushi, shrimp dumplings, pork steak, sausages, fish, vegetables, and mushrooms, all of which were delicious and well-prepared. The staff at Sofitel Xi’an were welcoming and friendly, making us feel at home throughout our stay. My parents, who are 70 years old, particularly enjoyed the hospitality and comfort provided by the hotel. Their enjoyment was the highlight of our trip. Overall, our experience at Sofitel Xi’an On Renmin Square was outstanding. The excellent amenities, delicious food, and exceptional service made our stay unforgettable. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Xi’an.

The hotel is in a great location, rooms are comfortable and spacious with modern decor. We find all the concierge staffs are extremely friendly and helpful, a big thank you especially to Leo, who had been tirelessly helping us to arrange our tours and also with our transfer back to the airport after our car booked with booking.com doesn’t turn up. Also thank you to Andy who had helped us to call the local service provider to follow up with our car booking. We felt really welcomed as they always greeted us with big warm smiles.

My flights were delayed and I ended up arriving much later than expected (in fact in the early hours of the morning), but checking in at that time was no problem. The buffet breakfast was excellent, with a wide range of Western and Asian options, which changed daily.

The hotel is in a gated compound of 5 or 6 Accor properties, so finding the right building was a challenge for my taxi driver, as all the properties seem to have the same street address, but with different names. The different hotel buildings are numbered, but you don't figure that out until after you get there.

The room we got was really big. My boyfriend had some work to do and was glad there was a desk in the room. Huge bathroom as well. We had breakfast one day and that was great. Lots of western options. Also had dinner at the hotel two nights and nothing to complain about. The concierge, Leo, helped us book a taxi for a decent price to go to mount Huashan. We used Didi to get around in the city. We had a really nice time in Xi'an and would definitely stay at this hotel again.

Having your laundry done in China is really expensive.

The hotel is centrally located with easy access to the metro and inner city attractions. The staff were very friendly and helpful. A special thanks to Carl Wang, a Manager, whose hospitality to us was outstanding. Breakfast catered for all tastes with a good selection across the board
