Nice room, big and comfortable bed(for me), overall clean, of course its not a 4-5 star hotel but for this price its absolutely fine. Staff are very helpful but unfortunately don't speak any english. Location is in centre, but don't get fooled, centre of Bucaramanga is quite busy(shops and markets, traffic) and pretty dangerous when it gets dark.

- Noise early in the morning: people talking loudly, some construction noises, phone ringing on the reception(my room was right above the reception and windows to inner patio). Rooms have very bad sound isolation. - Staff doesn’t speak even the most basic english, we always had to use mobile translator - To turn on hot water in shower you need to run the water for 5-7 minutes, otherwise its cold

The room was clean and comfortable. It's generally a quiet sector so there it wasn't noisy. The hotel had hot water and the room was spacious.

It's close to the city center and several museums, however, it's not recommended to be walking around outside at night. Mosquitoes tend to enter the room quite often.

Biggest bathroom I've ever had through booking.com - loved it! (probably not an option with smaller rooms). Look for the rounded walls! There's an OXXO kiosk on the street corner, opens at 7 a.m. - good for fresh hot coffee and sandwiches, burgers, croissants, etc. to take back to the hotel. Reviewing accomodations is awkward, as prices fluctuate. Once again I will say it was good value for the price I got At the Time of Booking. (dot com!)

First (and hopefully last) time I comment on the neighbourhood. Didn't have any bad experiences personally though I was sternly warned by people "in da hood" to watch out. Centro Bucaramanga is not recommended by locals. The hotel itself is good enough for a night or two. One more thing. I keep receiving e-mails from Ayenda Principe (just got another now) asking me to pay for the room, directly to their own bank account (dodgy as hell you ask me). The first time this happened was immediately upon confirmation, a day before arrival. I then called the hotel, asking them what this was all about and arranged with them that I would pay them in cash upon arrival as per usual. So I did. Even so I still receive these e-mails where I am given 30 minutes to pay unless my card be charged. Seems to me this hotel chain has some issues. See for yourselves: Se requiere pago del valor total de la reserva de inmediato. De no recibir pago en 30 minutos, se podrá cargar a tu tarjeta registrada el monto total de la reserva.

The bed was quite comfy, and it was possible to order food via the reception at a nearby restaurant and let them bring it to our room.

We booked a room which clearly had pictures of rooms with air-conditioning. Coming there it already took a very long time to check in and then they told us the text described it was with ventilator and they the pictures were general. It took a long time before they finally admitted it was their fault and have us a room with airco. That one was gross, with a puddle of piss in front of the toilet, dental floss on the wall and a very old soap in the shower. The shower was only luke warm with very low pressure. Not recommended.
