pool area is amazing, large rooms, best waffles for breakfast.

staff… especially reception. be prepared to wait long time to check in. first of all they gave us room with bad smell, we came back to ask to change they changed immediately but without apology, but the worst part that receptionist told us to wait in reception until they will bring our luggages from the old room. after patiently waiting 30 minutes, i asked where pur luggage so during all this time they didn’t announce this problem to anyone…. summing up you can feel that this hotel is too big for the staff to be kind and handle situations.

Very clean, beautiful view of the water. Perfect location, walking distance to a lot of food spots. Hotel has one of the most popular bars located on the 51st floor. Staff is very friendly and helpful. They have someone that can help you plan daily activities. The breakfast was amazing!

The pool and beach near the hotel was under construction but the hotel let us know prior to our stay and provided a free shuttle to a nearby all-inclusive resort. The result itself however, was $30 if you wanted the all-inclusive access. Free if you just want to swim. Still not a bad deal.

The view from the room was exquisite - uninterrupted view of the Caribbean Sea and Boca grande area. Spacious facilities, lounging areas, restaurants etc. Great that breakfast was also included with the room. In a slightly quieter side of Cartagena in the proximity of plenty of beaches but also just 10 mins Uber ride (or a 20-min walk) away from the artsy, beautiful alleys of the old city / Centro and Getsamani. Helped to get the best of both worlds during my stay.

While breakfast was great, I wish there was slightly more variation/range in the items served and that all of them were labeled in English, especially since not all staff, especially those in the restaurant are fluent in English.

It was one of the best hotels I've stayed in, and I've traveled the world extensively. View from the room was beautiful, bed was very comfortable, beach closeby (walking distance). They're currently cleaning up the beaches, so the one right at the front of the hotel is closed. Walking distance to the historic city or a 6 min taxi ride. Food supermarket, pharmacy etc closeby. Really good location. I'd stay again.

- Overpriced $200 AUD per night for a last-minute booking. - Pool gets very busy and has no shade and no umbrellas. - Restaurant is extremely cold, and the air-conditioning is set quite high, so it's uncomfortable. - Bar at the lobby opens in the afternoons only. It could be open to serve coffee all day round because the view is stunning. So when people are waiting to check in, they could at least sit in there and purchase coffee and cakes, etc. That's a miss opportunity, in my opinion.

everything was really perfect!!! (except for the 2 things that I'll mention in the box review below)

we stayed in a room at 48th floor, and there was a constant noise which was annoying(I think it was maybe from the elevators, or some water pump...), we informed the front desk and the said that they'll check, but nothing changed. Also we waited a bit too long while checking out, and they wanted to charge us for the complementary items in the room but at the end when we asked to talk to the manager, he approve the items to be free of charge.

The staff are so friendly and helpful, especially Eduardo and Robert. The staff have really good english. We were travelling to Cartegena as part of our honeymoon and they gave us a lovely sea view room and even brought us a bottle of wine. The beds are super comfortable. The pool is fabulous and the pool side food is delicious. I would recommend the fish tacos! Breakfast was great. Best place to stay In Cartegena!

The property was lovely and the staff very friendly. The room was nice with comfortable beds. Pool was awesome and so were the attendants at the pool. The restaurant for breakfast was good but overall the hotel’s food quality was basic.

There weren’t any red flags. The property was A1.

Beautiful room and seaview, decoration a bit simple. Good wifi, friendly and helpful staff. Location is nice. We liked the pool area as well, but other guests are so misbehaved, it's unbelievable they are staying at such a nice hotel.

Breakfast was too monotonous. We stayed for a week and every morning was the same. No fresh vegetables at all (tomatoes, cucumber, etc..) Expected more variety from a 5 star hotel. No tea/coffee in the room

The location is great. We enjoyed the room which is big and with breathtaking sea view. Also the swimming pool is very nice. You can swim and enjoy nice food and cocktails. The breakfast was full of choices.

The staff in general, starting from receptionists, and finishing with waitress/waiter are not really friendly. We stayed at Estelar in Medellin and the staff was amazing, helpful and kind. Here probably because of many tourist, there is lack of smile, kindness, sometimes it looks like they are doing you a favour, however we are spending a lot of money! Not impressed!
