- Staff: very professional and easygoing - Location: Can't hardly get better. Right next to Getsemani hot spots, and 5 - 10 min walk from the port, el centro entrance gate and the commercial zone from the area - Activities: lots of organised activities (boat parties, nightclubs/bars hopping, islands trips, etc.) - Rooftop area

- No real window on the outside for the single bedrooms. You have windows but with a view inside the building. Not a major issue as you barely spend time in your room in Cartagena - The Breakfast was good, but it could have been more varied (i.e. a buffet would be nice). In any case, there's plenty of food options in the area

Good location, beautiful old style building. It's like the provincial sister of the Los Patios in Medellin, with more or less the same vibe, level of comfort and setup but with slightly more basic facilities. The rooftop jacuzzi/pool was amazing!

Avoid the dorm room "Bocagrande" if you can! It's next to a shared toilet whose position essentially feels like it's inside the dorm due to large ceiling gaps, letting you hear EVERYTHING - even unzipping... It's also next to the hostel's rooftop bar and communal area, so in constant usage until late at night. This room shouldn't be offered to guests.

Los Patios is a great place to stay in Cartagena, especially if you are traveling alone and looking to meet some friends along the way. Everyone who worked at this hostel was unbelievable friendly and helpful - some of the best staff I've ever encountered at a hotel/hostel. Julie in particular was absolutely phenomenal and a wealth of knowledge about Cartagena and the surrounding area. There were a lot of travellers working remotely staying here (myself being one of them) and I can see why. The internet was super fast and there were so many places to sit and work in the communal areas. There is a shared kitchen with a large fridge for those staying for longer durations. The staff put on events every evening like salsa dancing or karaoke. The guests were some of the friendliest out of anywhere we stayed, but I think that is in part to the staff creating a great culture there. Would highly recommend!

While the pool itself is a bit small, the rest of the facilities of the rooftop patio made up for it. Lots of loungers and chairs and even a rooftop bar. Our only complaint is that the private rooms are very small! It would be fine if you are traveling alone, but I was traveling with my cousin. We are very close and good travellers together, but the space is just very small. The only other thing is that there isn't a fan in the bathroom, so the tiny room gets pretty damp after a shower. It is crucual to keep the AC on "dry" instead of "cool" (it still will cool the room on this setting)

The walking tour with Alyce was the best part of Cartegena! She’s so energetic and passionate about her city and her people. Our private room was really big and super clean! The bed was so comfortable and the room got really dark at night so I had the best sleeps I have had my whole South America trip. Great location in a vibrant part of Getsemani.

Probably more a complaint about fellow travellers not doing the right thing than the hostel itself, but the plates, utensils etc in the communal kitchen weren’t very clean. Had to wash dishes before we were able to cook each morning.

We booked a king private room as a well needed treat after our previous accomodation. The bed was incredibly comfortable. Room was spacious with good air conditioning. Clean bathroom with a pretty shower and well stocked with toiletries. Great TV with Netflix. Staff were friendly and helpful. Nice rooftop for drinks. Excellent location, walking distance to some very cool spot.

Shower didn’t get very hot but was warm enough. While the room was excellent, I think it’s still overpriced and not something we’d usually pay that much for. I think it’s a new hostel so they were possible still building some facilities (I think a cafe was going to be opened in the lobby).

The location and staff was amazing. We enjoyed that major attractions, restaurants and bars were just a few steps away. Staff were very kind and helpful. Also, they have social events coordinated by a consistent team and they had great activities. We were able to take advantage of a free walking tour and a rooftop bar crawl (not free). We would definitely stay here again.

Our room had an interesting situation where the sliding glass door for the bathroom was also the door to the closet. This was difficult to manage with two people staying in the room. Also, there were ants in our room when we checked in.

Very nice and friendly hostel I stayed in 4ppl female dorm with a private bathroom. Pretty big hostel with a kitchen and a rooftop bar. Great hostel activities. Boart party was fun! Everyone was friendly! Mango in reception was super friendly! The guy who took careof us during the activities was amazaing aswell! The hostel is located 5minutes walk from the mait square and about7minutes walk from the park where You can see sloths. Easy so socialise and meet people in the bar area!

Pricves in the bar could have been a bit lower - I paid for a can of beer in the hostel more that I dod in the bar on the street. Otherwise it's a great place to stay!!!!

We stayed in a 4 bedroom dorm on the 3rd floor. The facilities are really new and everything was super clean. Extra perk is that we got towels for showering and for the jacuzzi. The common areas were really nice. It is not as big as the los Patios in Medellin but it is still really nice! Staff was really friendly. They created a very nice atmosphere and provided a lot of activities!

two things for improvement: We asked to store our luggage for two days but we were told there was no space anymore in the storage room. For a hostel chain of that size I think one of the basics you have to provide is luggage storage for travellers. The bathroom of the dorm was basically inside the room. There was no real door separating the bathroom (only a glass one that was somehow attached later and didn’t really help much). Basically if you don’t sleep at the same time as your dormmates you end up waking up everyone. We all ended up using the common bathrooms instead. Not all dorms were like that though. I guess we were unlucky with the room. But would be nice to attach a really door to that bathroom :)

I stayed at the hostel while working remotely and it offers great facilities to do so. There is plenty of space to work from and the wifi is fast. The location is great and all of the staff is amazing! They offer activities everyday, so it‘s easy to meet other travelers. The music from the rooftop stops early enough to get a good night sleep and there is no heavy bass, so earplugs can easily cancel the noise.

There was construction noise during the day and from 10am there was music everywhere in the hostel, which is not ideal if you have work calls. It is also quite expensive, but for personally it was worth it.

We had a great stay at Los Patios and would gladly come back! The hostel is perfectly located in a lively area, without being noisy. The staff is welcoming and always available, several activities are offered on each day of the week. Terrace rooftop bar is very cute. Temperature in Cartagena is quite hot, it was great to have A/C in our room. There's no breakfast service, but a big, equipped communal kitchen is at disposal of the guests.

The room smelled a bit musty. I guess due to the humid climate it's hard to keep the ambient dry, we only stayed two nights but I guess on a longer stay could be annoying (especially since there's no real solution to this)
