This is a top hotel. Located close to the centre of town with secure parking within the grounds. The room which was a superior suite was well designed, stylish, comfortable and equipped with quality furnishings, the toiletries were a luxury brand. There was a patio immediately outside the room with very comfortable patio chairs and a small table, in addition there was a further larger table where breakfast was served, breakfast was excellent. The main courtyard was lovely with a fountain and established trees and shrubs and some beautiful birds. The owners Ximena and Alvaro live on site, they were most friendly and helpful and made good suggestions and gave directions to local attractions and restaurants, it was appreciated that they spoke excellent English. The other staff at the hotel were also most helpful. We stayed for three nights and we would have happily stayed longer, given the quality the price was most reasonable.

The hotel's location was convenient, situated in a vibrant neighborhood with easy access to multiple restaurants and cafes. The check-in process was swift and efficient, and the staff was warm, friendly, and attentive throughout my stay. The room itself was beautiful and even more beautiful than the pictures. The room was spacious, so was the restroom and the walking closet. It was tastefully decorated, featuring modern furnishings and a comfortable bed that ensured a restful night's sleep. Some of the amenities provided, were high-speed internet, and parking, catered to both leisure and business travelers. The hotel offer breakfast and the options were outstanding. They offered a wide array of fresh, delicious choices to start the day and their plate presentation and service represents how much their care about their guests. What truly set this hotel apart was its exceptional service. Every staff member I encountered was genuinely friendly and went above and beyond to ensure my needs were met. The hotel is managed by their owners. Ximena, is one of them and her friendliness and attention were above and beyond. She takes care of every single detail and strike to offer your the best service possible. She provided valuable local recommendations and was always ready to assist with any request or inquiry. The hotel's facilities were also top-notch. Overall, my experience at this hotel was nothing short of outstanding. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a memorable and enjoyable stay at Villa de Leyva. From beautifully accommodations to the exceptional service, this hotel truly deserves its reputation as an excellent destination for travelers.

I loved every minute of my stay.

The calm setting and beautiful garden where I had breakfast every day. The friendly and efficient staff. The breakfast, with one caveat (see next question).

My room was too warm at night - it was a ground floor suite and there were only double French doors to open, but no window. There was underfloor heating in the bathroom, but it meant that the room as a whole got pretty hot. I could’ve done with some way of cooling it, such as a fan or m a small window to open.

Hotel Casa Terra is a small beautiful hotel, with lovely architecture following the design and the history of Villa de Leiva, with a small well designed and pleasant garden, where breakfast is served on strategically located tables that allow for privacy in a lovely open space under the trees. Service is personalized, friendly and efficient. We fully enjoyed our stay in Villa de Leiva in this small and exceptional hotel.

My husband and I spent five nights at Casa Terra and could not have been happier with our choice and our experience. Our room (Casa Terra Suite) was wonderful - the bed is extremely comfortable and there is a large selection of pillows and the most beautiful and luxurious woolen blanket I’ve ever seen (though we didn’t need to use it). Every evening there is turn down service along with a tray of water and sweets. The breakfast, served in their beautiful courtyard, is extremely generous and beautifully prepared. And we enjoyed the courtyard every evening as we sat with our glass of wine before heading out to dinner. The staff, under the expert supervision of Ximena, go out of their way to make your stay memorable. And they succeed! Ximena was especially helpful with arranging drivers for us, providing restaurant recommendations (that were great) and arranging a day trip. If you are visiting the beautiful town of Villa de Leyva, do not hesitate to book your stay at Casa Terra!

Absolutely nothing!

Beautiful hotel , great location, very clean , staff were super attentive and professional. Close to the Main Square, shops, restaurants and a beautiful walking trail. Breakfast was very good .

The walls in the room connecting to the room next door are thin .

Amazing hotel! In a quiet, safe location, but very close to lots of restaurants and shopping. The staff were all extremely kind and helpful, and helped us organize a taxi to the airport. All of the small details were great, too - the breakfast was amazing, the room was beautiful and there was turndown service with water each night, and the shower was hot with great water pressure. We loved it!

The breakfast... could be better... bread rolls from local supermarket should be replaced with freshly baked bread from one of the many artisan bakeries close by... lots of tiny bugs attacking you while eating breakfast... could use some citronella bud deterrent candles..

This hotel is the best hotel ever. It was not just a hotel to spend the night, it was an experience from the moment you check in, to the sad moment you have to leave. This is a place where they pamper and spoil you. We did not want to leave. If you get the chance of going to Villa de Leyva, do not hesitate and stay here. The price is a little bit higher than other hotels in the area, but it is totally worth it mainly if you are celebrating a special ocassion. These people surely know what they are doing.

We loved everything. There is nothing here not to like.

An absolute gem. Stunningly presented on all levels - and the staff were incredibly attentive and discreet. I felt like I was stepping back in time but with serious comforts and luxuries. Breakfast was on another level too. Just perfect in every way.

This place has it all wrapped up - no negative comments whatsoever.
