We loved the location, the apartment is big & host, king size bed in a large bedroom, everything you could want! I cannot tell you how wonderful it was to be in Rome and have a host take care of your every need. He returned calls quickly if we had any questions or concerns. He even arranged a private cab driver which waited for our late flight to welcome us (with our name) at the airport to take us to our front door and also for our return. There is a great pastry shop two doors down and a famous delicious restaurant, FREZZA three doors down . The restaurant is very casual and absolutely delicious. The carbonara and pasta is amazing.

The hotel is inside the old city and just 1-2 mins to the Pile Gate where the local tours meet-up point is. Close to evey museum and car cable station. We could also enjoy shopping the souvenirs and a cup of coffee around the old city anytime. Breakfast was good! It would be great if they could provide more choices. The hotel management was very helpful and informative to guide us the city visit. Overall, it was a relaxing hotel that I would highly to recommend to stay here at least 2-3 nights. You will feel a great vibe of old city here.

Everything about our stay at Bota Palace was perfect. The location is central within the old city, just a few minutes walk from the wall so you are not carrying your luggage too far. The host was communicative before our arrival, to ensure they were present to check us in. She was very friendly and super helpful! Our room was absolutely beautiful and impressive. The design of Bota Palace was classy and modern; in the bathroom, they provided hair tools such as blow dryer and even a straightening iron. The daily breakfast was delicious. We had an early check-out which the host allowed us to have self-service; however, she prepared bagged breakfast so we could take to-go. We would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

The air conditioning wasn't as powerful as needed given the hot weather. Also, the curtains cover the air conditioning so in order to have appropriate air, we needed to leave the curtains open. Luckily, the window shutters did block the outside light.

Loved that it was right in the heart of the city walls which was so different and was full of atmosphere. The hotel wasn’t too far from pile gate which meant only a very short walk to hotel. We loved our breakfast in bed, this felt like a treat every morning. We stayed in the Spalato room which was spacious, modern with a traditional feel too with shutters which opened out onto the main placa. The windows were triple glazed to keep the noise out. It was very clean and the products in the bathroom were high quality.

Though I enjoyed my breakfasts each morning, (I had omelette twice which was delicious and tried the French toast and oatmeal which was nice) there were only 4 options and very continental choices. The bread that was used for the toast and cheese and ham toast option which my husband tried, wasn’t great. It didn’t come with a hot drink though there were tea and coffee facilities in the room.

Gorgeous apartment that was centrally located. Carla was an outstanding host and went above and beyond to make sure we were happy and all of our needs were met. Breakfast were nothing short of five star quality.

My only regret is that I couldn’t stay here longer.

My wife and I loved every single thing about Bota Palace. The location which is inside the walled city is just perfect. You step outside the Bota Palace entrance and you are in the center of everything. The check-in with Karla was fast and efficient. She took the time to explain the lodging details and where we may want to explore in and around the city. Breakfast was served every morning and was very tasty. They even give you a menu, so you have options to choose from or your choice. The room we had was very, very, nice and had cool decor that made you feel like just sleeping in each day. Karla also arranged out check out to occur later in the day to accommodate our later departure time to the local airport. Kudos to Karla and staff who were all very pleasant and professional. We are going to stay again on our next visit.

This is the place if you want to stay as central as possible in the old town. Located just off the main street and 2’ from Pile gate. It’s no hotel but rather a managed facility with only a few rooms. The building is beautifully renovated, the rooms spacious and the decor very nice. In room Breakfast is provided, though the selection is limited. You don’t have staff on location but they are only a call or a sms away, if you should need anything. So if you’re looking for a centrally located place to stay, I highly recommend this location. If you need a hotel with 24h hour service, this is not the place for you.

The location is as advertised in the old town. It is a quarter mile or so from the Pile gate. Unfortunately the property is not well marked and to find it we needed the assistance of the property manager, There is no valet service since it is a BnB not a hotel and certainly not a "palace." You will need to transport your luggage from the Pile gate to the property. The title of the property is misleading and certainly implies that it is a hotel and not a BnB.

We didn't like the fact that the client is responsible for the transport of luggage over cobblestone streets and the fact that the property is poorly marked.

Clean, beautiful, and well located in the heart of old town. Excellent breakfast delivered to the door, wonderful host. Communication was excellent and many restaurants and main attractions just steps outside the door. Fabulous stay! A stunningly beautiful room. Easy access from Pile gate.

There is a bit of street noise given its location on the main walkway, but it did not detract from the stay. Signage not obvious due to old town location (look for the double green doors).

Karla was very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed from the moment we arrived. The room was very comfortable and perfectly clean. Beach towels were provided which was very appreciated. The bed was so comfortable (and was one large mattress rather than 2 singles pushed together). Breakfast each morning was excellent and the location could not have been better - right in the heart of Old Town.

A little flooding in the shower but nothing else could be complained about.
