Suited for people who search a different experience! Family owned for 5 generations, taken good, thoughtful care of. Mrs. Leto, the elderly owner, is a super-person, a real Lady from old. Don't forget jacket& socks, it's chilly at night even in August! Very nice Cypriot breakfast! Super-fresh carrot and orange juices, home made marmalades! Room basic but clean, comfortable mattresses, lovely cute balconies in every room. Hotel is situated in a lovely spot in the woods, not in the noisy center of Platres (which, of course, is reachable in 5 minutes pleasant walking).

The room deco and upholstery would be nicer if they were really old-style, to keep up with the general aura of the hotel, instead of 80s-90s style. They are of very good quality, but the stylistic impression is not very consistent to the external, and the lounges of the hotel. I heard that a refurbishment is under study - it would be lovely to opt not for the "modern" look, but for the quality 1930s look! Would be nice to have traditional Cypriot zymoto bread for breakfast, so to complement the rest of the Cypriot breakfast! Anari & haroupomelo would also go nicely with the rest!

Cosy hotel with beautiful surroundings and warm comfortable fireplace. Hospitality of the owner was superb. The staff were friendly and polite. Breakfast was top notch before the hike around the waterfall.

It’s not that we didn’t like, it’s just the bathroom shower is quite tiny and uncomfortable. We are yoga people, so we managed to bend and stretch there. But for older people or people with disabilities the shower would be very unpleasant. Maybe other rooms had different shower.

Amaizing nature around the hotel and lovely view. Interesting interiors. Helpful stuff. Absolutely serene atmosphere before weekend but a little noisy during the weekend. The beginning of September is a must time to visit that hotel if you are looking for the place to have a rest from heat and hustle.

It seemed to us that the food for breakfast wasn't changed during the week. That's why it felt like it was not fresh by Thu-Fri.

I really loved the atmosphere in this hotel. It was opened in 1929 and has a lot of character. The location is fantastic for exploring the nearby hiking trails. My kids loved sleeping upstairs in the room under the sky light. We would definitely stay again if returning to the troodos region.

Perhaps provide a small fridge in the room.

The hotel exudes a unique charm, as if it’s been transported from a different century. Tucked away from the bustling areas of Platres, it provided a wonderful escape from the city's hustle and the coastal heat. It was the perfect retreat to enjoy some quiet and peaceful time with the family.

Possibly my new favourite hotel in the world. A shrine to 1930s architecture and interior design. The hotel was designed to make the best of the high mountain breezes, the long verandah and the shaded lounges giving a touch of class that no modern building can hope to replicate. The staff seem to love the industry they've chosen and are at their happiest when guests are happy.

Literally nothing to dislike here.

Location and the beautiful hotel and rooms are all perfect, we stayed for two nights. The first night was excellent, it was quiet and very cozy, the bathroom is nice and clean, the view from the balcony is amazing and the smell of pines and wood bark is just fantastic! breakfast was very basic, boiled eggs, a toast and chees or sausage, that's about it, for us it was fine but could be much better.

The second night was really bad though :( :( apparently you hear everything from the next room and the family that slept there was VERY loud.. they screamed and shouted and we could hear their kids going up and down the wooden stairs and the door being opened and closed every time someone goes to the bathroom. They woke us up a few times at night so although the bad was great I guess we had bad luck with our neighbors.. thin walls The staff can be nicer..

Nice atmosphere, very courteous and helpful front desk

Spartan rooms. No extra pillows or blankets, no welcome mineral water. Breakfast buffet could use some scrambled eggs and pastries. Parking is difficult. Very expensive given the facilities.

Fabulous building, great location, super nice staff, wonderful views from my room.

The bed was a bit uncomfortable, so I used to cover from the second bed as a topper. My room also smelled of fireplace smoke most of the time. Never could figure that out.

Nice hotel with flair. It is very cozy, the environment is gorgeous. 10 min walk to the village, 5 min walk to the next hiking trails. Food in the restaurant was excellent and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good.

Bathroom was very old and the shower leaked. But I was told there are step-by-step renovations going on.
