breakfast, location, price all exceptional! Recommend!

Our room was in a separate building, close but not expected.

Exceptionally well furnished and spacious room. The bathroom was equipped with a deep, comfortable bath which was a highlight of our stay. Breakfast was varied and the check in, check out times were generous. The hotel is located amongst good restaurants and is a short walk to the beautiful castle. The town is a popular tourist destination, but is highly recommended for a night or two. Wi-Fi was excellent.

The room would have benefitted from tea/coffee making facilities, even at an increased charge. The hotel restaurant was on the pricey side, although the standard of service and food was good.

excellent facilities. I had read some negative reviews so I got conscious. But the hotel exceeded my expectations. Spacious room. Clean linen and bed covers with mini bar and fridge. Super clean toilet with bathtub and necessary toiletries. Staff was super helpful.

There was nothing to dislike but one must know that this hotel is around famous castle. Everything closes by 8pm or 9pm. If you are planning late night dinner better have it 7 or 8pm.

The hotel is using parts of a historical large building. I also noticed that the hotel has yet another historical building at the turn of the road, to be used for its facilities probably much later since the building needs extensive restoration. Our room was large and comfortable. The breakfast was very well prepared and had a great verity. the location is very pleasant with many local visitors, cyclists, hikers... which creates a very pleasant and sporty atmosphere.

The carpet in our room was not new and had some spots indicating it has been in use for a long period. The bath tube was too high, some 60 cm, which makes it extremely dangerous specially for the elderly people who might hurt themselves getting in or out of it. I was interested to know a little more about the history of the building(s) being used as parts of the hotel but the reception did not have any printed or electronic material neither any initial information and referred me to google. The buildings have special architectural character and are worth being cared for and presented befittingly.

excellent location of the hotel. Three parking lots, two of which are next to the hotel and the third one in the utility yard, undeveloped, three hundred meters from the hotel.

It was a small room (#17 at Knezici Dum one of two hotels buildings), not large enough for two people. Uncomfortable bathroom, no place to fix the shower on the wall. You have to keep the shower in your hand all the time. The font itself is narrow and unsafe if you stand there. The floor is flooded with water from the shower

Location was great, just under the castle, close to the city center and to the lakes.

When booking it was not obvious we will not stay in a main building but in dependance. It was close by, but I would still prefer the main building. Room was ok. Welness was a bit small, for 2 ppl fine but I cant imagine 8 as its maximum. There would not be sufficient resting chairs. Pool is small.

Location was perfect - close to the trails/road to the Hluboka nad Vltavou castle (chateau). Rooms were bigger, comfortable, and clean. Breakfast was good - all kinds of breads, veggies, fruit, cheese, ham, eggs, coffee, etc.

No air conditioning - at night it go really hot. Shower situation - it was a bath and there was no curtains, so when taking shower/bath the water would splash everywhere.

The breakfast will recomend two times in the week something different. The Location is wonderfull and this old yardcourt.

You must to put a double el contacts. near to bed, one for the night lamp , one for the mobile phone :-} You must to put some nice pictures=photo on the room wall of the Hluboka Castle.

The room was clean and spacious, with a nice view on Hluboka. We enjoyed the sauna and the relaxing massage. Breakfast was good, especially the white sausages. We also had a yummy dinner at the hotel's restaurant!

Unfortunately the whirlpool in the wellness didn't work. I would add some more sweet offer to the breakfast.

Great location, really friendly staff, nicely with decent taste reconstructed historical building, spacious room, plenty of quality tourist information materials, good beer, nice wellness center, generous and tasty breakfast choice, free parking, all for a very reasonable price. ❤

Stain on a room chair, missing blue/red dot on a shower lever and inability of the staff to prevent me from starting having breakfast together with a... ummm... very specific group of local animal hunters. I would not mind them but they wanted to chase me out. Visible door sign "Private Breakfast" would make a major difference. :) Nevertheless, without any irony, I am really happy with my hotel experience and I plan to visit Podhrad Hotel again! Thank you!
