There was much to like: it's a lovely Atmosphere, very comforting staff members, and a good selection of breakfast.

I think, any other person visiting a hotel, expect cleanliness, and with the most part being fairly clean, I believe something like the yellow on the shower walls(or in the corners) and the shower curtain which seems to need a wash. These impact the feeling of a perfect stay quite a bit but didn't take away the overall experience of the hotel. Other small things to note: the glass table in the room had some finger marks on it and the TV remote had a bit of finger oil on it (for me not a big deal) but thought I'd share. Great stay non the less!

This is the second time I have come to Kolding, and while I loooove the Koldingfjord hotel, this can not be beat for location and ease of access (Koldingfjord Hotel requires a bus ride out to the property and of course the bus only runs every so often, so you have to plan ahead). The Kolding Hotel is right across from the train station and a five-minute walk “into” town or the Koldinghus. It is a modern business-like hotel. The staff was nice, the room was fine, with a nice big desk. The shower had a flimsy plastic shower curtain, but many people coming to Europe will prefer that to the half-door of glass found in many hotels. You need to sign up for a breakfast time the night before. I stayed two nights and found that that worked fine, even if doing the QR code etc was a little annoying. The breakfast was good. I found lodging in Ribe was more than I wanted to pay, so instead I stayed two nights here and took the train to and from Ribe. Then I left for Copenhagen from Kolding. This is a comfortable hotel in an excellent location.

I don’t know what it is about hotels in Denmark, but this is the second time I have stayed in a hotel there and had an absolutely disgustingly filthy fan left for supposed use in the room. It was even the same model of fan I had two years ago at Generator in Copenhagen ! The dust that was furred up on the fan blades would give you an asthma attack the second you turned on the fan. Yuck. ,

Breakfast was good, variation and good taste :D . Staff - very friendly and helpful, presentable and very welcoming. Facilities - nice to have parking, breakfast and nice decoration very free minding.

Room - almost good enough, but decoration pillows bit dusty (however i didnt mind much as i didnt use them, I put them away) . Comfort - Furthermore, during rainy evening, there is a metal plate in the mini balcony and it was loudly noisy, could hear strongly water dropping ( but i can sleep even with a loud noise besides, so could isolate the noise). However another persons might not be able to sleep tight. :). Also the room was a bit too warm even though the thermostat "looked to be working"

An excellent hotel, highly recommended. Clean, good beds, friendly and helpful staff.

Two points of criticism: We spent two nights in this hotel. One night in a 'fancy' room, which would have a double bed. This turned out not to be the case, so two single beds and cost € 133. The next night I took a standard room for € 95. After intensive research, I could not find any difference... And the first night, we parked right in front of the hotel and asked if that was okay. 'Fine, no problem!' The second night we heard that you risk a fine of € 130! Too bad about these two 'misses' because this is highly recommended, an excellent choice if you are in the area!

The hotel has great service, friendly staff, comfortable rooms and a great breakfast. It is a very busy hotel and they have a smart way of making sure that the breakfast buffet always has everything, by simply asking the guest ahead approx when we will be at the breakfast the next morning. Situated in the centre of Kolding, the hotel has a good parking area right outside the hotel, but in addition offers a private parking garage for those of us that like to feel a bit safer. It is a bit pricey, but to us a necessity (with a full car). A small detail to mention is the ironboard and iron that they have added in the room. Being a hotel for many business people, this shows that they are very observant about their type of customers. This hotel is what we would call "a step ahead" when it comes to customer service. If we travel the same route later, we will definitely go to this hotel for another stay!

Now listen: The hotel itself is very attractive, next to the train station. Nice rooms , nice lobby, the public library as neighbour. The staff upon arrival was absolutely normal, giving you your key without any extra demands, telling you that breakfast is 7-10 etc. Everything normal.

BUT: This hotel is exercising a total mail terror campaign against their guests prior to arrival. They demand that you book your breakfast for a 45 minutes session only and on a fixed time. They demad thar you make a pre check in electronically. All this proves totally unneccessary when you arrive. They don´even ask for your room number when you come for breakfast in the morning as is customary in most hotels. Management must stop this now.

Rooms were nice & comfortable. Good complimentary products, schampoo etc. The bedding was very very soft & nice. Breakfast was really good as well, good variety and selection of things. It was fresh as well.. Location was very central and convenient! It was really appreciated that they had free parking spaces outside.

They couldn’t arrange a later check-out time which was a bit disappointing for us personally.

Very friendly and very clean, great room with nice bathroom and big bed, nice wooden furniture. Great breakfast too!

The only aspect I did not like was the coffee, which was too weak. And perhaps the fact that it wasnt possible to make the room darker at night (there were thick curtains but the light still came through at the bottom, and it was light until about 11pm and from 5am). Everything else was perfect.

The location was perfect for our needs. The room was clean and simple but as we were only there for 1 night its served its purpose. The gentleman on reception was very welcoming, professional, helpful and made us feel very welcome. He helped us with any queries we had which was very good. The breakfast was ample with a very wide choice of dishes.

The only comment was the room was so hot. There could be some guidance on check in to reduce the temperature. It made for a very disrupted sleep. I opened the window but was then disturbed by early morning traffic.

The hotel is strategically situated in the heart of the city, making it extremely accessible. Upon entering, guests are welcomed into a spacious and tastefully decorated reception area. During my stay, the night receptionist stood out for her friendly demeanor and competency, with flawless English communication. The rooms themselves are generous in size and maintained with relative cleanliness. Beds are thoughtfully designed to be big and firm without being hard, ensuring a comfortable night's sleep. The in-room TV features Chromecast and offers a wide selection of channels catering to various languages including Danish, Swedish, Norwegian, German, English, French, Spanish, and Italian. For those looking to start their day right, the breakfast lounge is pleasantly spacious and well-appointed. Although the underground parking comes with a slightly steep price tag of 105 DKK per night, it's worth mentioning for those who may need it. Throughout the hotel, the staff were amiable and helpful without being intrusive.

The shower cabins are notably small and equipped with shower curtains, which might not suit everyone's preference. Check-in is restricted to before 2 am, potentially causing inconvenience for late travelers. In one of our rooms, there was some trash under the bed. Vegan guests may find the breakfast options somewhat limited, though there are offerings such as bread, margarine, oat milk, three kinds of jam, bananas, oranges, apples, cereal, nuts, and seeds. Those driving larger vehicles may struggle with the very tight parking spaces available in the basement. Lastly, the extra bed provided was found to be quite hard, possibly affecting the comfort of additional guests.
