we booked a "Double Room with Balcony or Terrace" and we may have been upgraded as our room was a little appartment, wiht 2 bedrooms and a living room+kitchen + dining corner and a balcony. Everything was very clean, beds were comfortable. Breakfast was very good, with fresh food and fruit, a lot of choice. And the person at the reception was very kind and helpful. Possibility to park the car at the hotel (but not many park lots), or in the street just in front of the hotel (what we did very easily). Even if the hotel is not in the city center, it is at walking distance of the places of interest in Skagen city center.

No view on the sea, but it is the case in the other places in Skagen. Reception is closed after 18h but you could have the key waiting for you. The bar is closed after 18h too.

Superb hotel within close walking distance of town, museums and harbour. Clean styling and spotless, friendly staff and tasty breakfast buffet. Plenty of underground parking.

On booking.com check in is until 23.30 and was one of the reasons we booked, as we were on an evening ferry from Sweden. Reception actually closed at 1800 so there was a moment of confusion and concern about whether we’d have a place to stay when we received that text (all in Danish, thank goodness for Google Translate!) But the evening check-in was actually very smooth, so all good. The underground car park wasn’t that well marked, particularly in the dark.

Location

Sadly the recommended restaurant (with a stated 5 % deal ) .... was horrible Food was poorly prepared and one meal.of our group was inedible (for which they refunded the cost) although the service was freindly , we waited almost and hour in between courses . The hotel said that they were sorry for the bad experience , and would "make it up to us next time we were there ....." with a free meal . And how sad it was that we were not staying another night so she could "make that happen" *It is Unlikely, we will be back at the tip of Denmark in our life time, but a nice gesture... until it was time for one of our group to pay for the ONE gin and tonic from the mini bar ...... Nope, NO gesture was offered !!!! All.fake blah blah ...... So NOT authentic sadly .

Beautiful room with a very cosy living room, an excellent bed and a spacious bathroom. Good location right in the harbour (which is where the good fish restaurants are).

The various rooms are in different buildings facing each other, which means that other guests look into your room. There are no translucent window coverings, so if you want some privacy, you need to close the curtains, which immediately makes the whole room very dark. Breakfast options are limited (no warm dishes except for boiled eggs), but what was on offer tasted very good.

Breakfast was better than average, the coffee wasn't great, but plenty of choice of food, and all very nice.... cheeses, meats, pastries and jams as well as the usual choices of mueslis and toppings. Entirely typical, but very nicely done. No apparent hot choices, though there were those boiled eggs that you think are hardboiled and cold but are actually warm and perfectly soft - how do they do that?

It was a shame the bar was closed in the evenings... I suspect due to it being the end of the season.

The staff is excellent, the location does not have a beach view but it is quiet and right across street from ships and port facilities, which we found fascinating. I blindly made reservation and it was great. Good value.

Always nice to have a tub option, but was none here. No real complaints. Oh, might be nice if the lobby area was open at night so one could hang out for a drink or just enjoy the space.

We have got a suite (late booking so no option) a little bit pricy but at the end we enjoyed it. The space and the kitchen. And the terrace . Breakfast was fine. The personnel was fine but didn’t necessarily need to recommend us the most expensive restaurants only…

No immediate ideas. When people ask, please advise even more moderate solutions, as for example fish and chips for lunch. in the harbor

Nice staff, nicely decorated.

The room did not have air conditioning. It was very hot in the room although outside was only around 20 degrees. We had to sleep with windows open also during the night. Also the room had a slight smell upon arrival, but by opening all the windows it was okay.

Rooms are not exactly price - performance as they are quite basic. Staff at breakfast is wierd. The ladies are demanding to wear a plastic gloves for "our pritection" but they approach you in privacy of 20 cm to tell you that?!? Go either way , don't bust balls if customers or wear mask and keep distance! The reception desknladies are also far from nice. Wierd place

The breakfast is very rich and diverse, satisfying any type of preferencies with good quality products. The location is comfortable when moving around Skagen by car, and not o far walking to the city center. It is good to have a private parking. The room was large and the hotel is clean and well maintened.

The check-in policy is not clear. The reception is not open till midnight like stated on Booking... you can still get a room but you do not have the support of the staff if you arrive later than 18:00/18:30. The underground parking has a narrow entrance/exit with a 90 degrees turn in between two walls... pay a lot of attantion if you have a long car. The lights in the room can be improved to create a more comfortable and relaxing environment, currently they could resemble a working environment.
